Third strike, you're out. I enjoy this game but I'm not going to sit around while more and more about the progression system breaks without Treyarch or Sledgehammer doing anything about it. This wasn't the next video I wanted to make but I had a feeling this was going to have to happen, but I also wasn't expecting it to get this bad. Hopefully something can get done about this for the people like myself that do enjoy the game but are annoyed that we keep getting less reasons to play.

You’re absolutely correct sir. Normally on a game without any double weapon xp activated I can make any weapon go up minimum 7 levels. With this double weapon xp weekend it seems they quadrupled the regular rank xp and cut the weapon xp to a 1/4 of what you normally would get. Every update this Triple A company breaks shit and doesn’t care. But they will push out bundle after bundle with ease. Everyone needs to stop giving this company their time and money.
So glad to finally see some recognition on this. Noticed the 4x in game xp amount immediately. Then was really confused when I was killing hundreds of zombies during an Outlast contract only for the gun to level up once and it took forever for it to do so. Hoping they address and fix this soon.
Thought I was the only one..I killed a single zombie and saw 80 xp pop up and I was like waiiittt a minute lol
I noticed this more so this time around with the recent 10 day double XP event. It honestly feels like those weapons were capped per match because right off the get go when leveling up a new weapon or a weapon i haven't leveled up at all would stop roughly about 7-8 levels. Now i really knew something was up this time around too because one of the newer melee, The gladiator only goes up to level 6 but took me 2 games to get it maxed which blew my mind. just going from level 3 to 4 took about 15 minutes or so which really had me wondering and thinking that the entire weapon xp system is in fact broken. I thought i was losing my mind but every weapon I was leveling up has had the same result and honestly feels like they have more issues than anything else. Thank you for posting this and confirming what I've been suspecting.
I think you need to change the title of this video to get the attention of any Dev to "I bought $20 of CP and gave me double CP" then they probably gonna watch the video and patch it hahaha.

Your completely right I was using XP tokens this week and ranking up quite fast. Then the weekend came and I was like this isn't right. My weapons are barely ranking up. I was doing way better off the tokens rather than the double XP weekend. People need to take the time and write tickets to Activision that we need it fixed and a reimbursement. And your right about no one posting about it. I was looking online to see if anyone was commenting on this issue and didn't find much except some old content. Thanks for sharing this video.
Literally got in a match and it stopped giving weapon exp after about 40 kills.
Sadly I notice that yesterday like at 9 pm. I play mostly zombies and think of leveling up weapons with this xp boost, but noticed that only lvl up 2 times on a full 45 min match and play 3.
And as I sayed arround 9 pm went to mp and level up 4 weapons at almost max in the same time more or less

I have noticed this too. I put a response on a reddit post and i got bombarded with people saying that i was wrong and people saying that i was bad in math. One was very funny calling me "autistic, who cares? it's zombies, go play warzone" and then finally my response got deleted. I found funny because i have autism. Tbh this sounds intended because they know no one will check anyways and the grind has to be slower so people spend more time in the game because microtransactions. And it's basically a scam because they show to you that you are earning 2XP but there is a huge cap that you hit but it's not stated anyware that there is a cap so. The cap is ridiculous too btw.

Anyone who plays should know its clear that something isnt working correctly. Personally i have all the weapons in the game max level and almost all complete in mp and zombies except the most recent dlc guns. I used a token for the battle rifle and used the 2xp for the sword, i only got 3 1/2 levels during double xp. I wasnt killing many zombies as i was doing delivery contracts trying to speed my containment level up but noticed something was probably wrong.
1028 kills and got 3 weapon level. Yaaay so much fun 🙌
Yeah we figured this out in January with the first double xp event. I don’t think it’s a bug, I think this is part of their engagement optimization bs. So it’s probably not going anywhere.
I just spent all weekend using the Katt AMR and i am still 2 levels from max thank you for posting a issue about this!! i am livid at this point this gun sucks A$$
I got over 300 kills with the new sword, it barely made it past lvl 2 and when I looked at the stats, 14 kills counted. This game is broken in so many aspects, no wonder no one mentions this. This is just another issue in an issue riddled game
Cliff notes: zombies is still broken because they don’t care, just play mp for guns xp
i noticed it immediately when double xp weekend started. barely managing to level up once let alone twice a match when i was using a token i would be getting up to 11 sometimes 12 weapon levels a match.. i stopped playing hoping it'd be fixed by then and i just hoped on and it's still broken lol
They don't want us to play zombies as an xp grind they just want us to play warzone

No wonder my weapon was taking so long to max, thought it was weird. I've played 10 to 15 games since Friday and gun is still not maxed. 17 of 20 how the fuck can it take so long when I'm averaging 1000 zombies per game.
I am sure they know, but as most people already have their weapons leveled up, they want people to keep playing the game, so nothing is probably going to change.
I’m surprised more people aren’t complaint about this. I get a similar amount of kills trying to rank up the new battle rifle and it only ranked me up 3 or 4 times

Im not sure and i wont bother doing any math, but it feels like this double weekend xp is also broken for MP this time. Got like 2 levels on a gun despite yeeting decoys on small maps and getting a 10k+ score.
I've noticed this too with the TYR pistol. Idk what guns you've been grinding, but I think it has to do with the "recommended weapons". The guns not "recommended" have leveled up painfilly slow for me, versus the WSP Stinger that leveled up more before the double xp event. Could be wrong, but I don't have any more "recommended" weapons to level up.
Hey man I saw your comment and tested it myself. I did 2 games and used 2 different weapons that were "recommended" being the Haymaker shotgun and the RGL launcher. Seems like the xp gains are broken across the board. The Haymaker only leveled up once from 19 to 20 with over 1,500 kills. The RGL leveled up from 1 to 4 but it took all game and over 1,200 kills and multiple contracts completed. Was really hoping you were on to something here.

All weapons go slow. The new soa subverter only goes max 3.5 levels per match no matter how many contracts and zombies you do and kill
Idk what’s up with the current event… I’m working through pistols with the wife and got 7k points 😑 I’ve gotten 8 or 9 levels not 2 and a half it’s like normal xp… I thought I was crazy tonight… idk have tons of time, we got stock show on Monday we planned on grinding weapon xp and it doesn’t even feel worth it

Multiplayer XP don't work either. Shows me like 60 multibillion XP ingame but then i only go from level 10->12
Yeah its fucked. I get 5 levels a weapon without double xp. Ive got 2 levels a game with current double xp
Played a couple of zombie rounds and also realized that the weapon XP thingy is not working properly. Video got a thumbs up from me :).
Might even been Fixed since earlier today I went in a Game with a level 1 gun and left with it at 15 and I did pop a 30 mins Token
The tokens were never broken, it’s just been the events weirdly enough

I have problems with mp. It shows 500xp for 1 kill, but i gain 1/2 level exp that i could get without double xp weekend. The biggest piece of dogshit i have ever seen
i would just get 1 level within first 5 mins then exfil… ranked up pretty fast

In my last match i've killed about 950 zombies and got 5k xp for my weapon with that "2x xp". Fucking joke
I'm not seeing many people talking about this but I'm having the same issue. I'm currently only able to get two levels on a weapon per game and that's with the current double xp weekend going. This is bullshit.
Every game I'm getting 90k character xo but only 6 or 7 k weapon XP. Lol
Oh you should use the jokr if you havent leveled it, it caps to 2 levels a game currently
2xp hasn't worked for MWIII PERIOD at all ever this entire game. I've made lots of videos about this. Since release it's not worked at all.

Did multiplayer is better u get like 900 xp per kill and if u go in a small map and camp u get ur gun xp like crazy
Answer is nobody at activision cares people still play their game and it keeps people on longer to grind things out.
100% broken game it’s just a shop you you can buy cool skins their not bothered about the gameplay or the bugs with looks of it the first patch they released was for stopping zombies spawning on top of building and still happening mw3 is a copy and paste mess
They killed zombies with s2 no new changes game mode already dead
team deathmatch is broken too it gives like 500+xp every kill lol
