Thanks for posting this! Videos like this are VERY helpful and less intimidating for some of us newbies who require a little mini orientation to understanding the start of a loc journey..lol. For someone like me, these type of videos are really the deciding factor for me in choosing a loctician to start my journey with :) You don't find a lot of locticians going the extra mile to welcome NEW clients who aren't knowledgeable to starting locs so I can appreciate this, especially when it comes to trying to decide whether to start with the coil method or two-strand twists. I just have to get over my fear and just start..lol. But you guys are definitely at the top of my list when I'm ready..🙂 When coming for a starter loc appointment, I know my hair doesn't need to be washed as it's included in the service (unless I'm taking down a protective style).. I usually keep my hair in 4-6 feedin braids so once I've washed the product out and I've detangled it, should I just let my hair air dry and NOT blow dry it out before arriving to appt? Lol.. I'm so use to blow drying my hair out (as it's very thick and a little past my shoulders when it's blown out). But I'm assuming you would need my hair in its natural thick state to start locs, right?
You’d just need to come detangled from any previous style. If you decide to wash your hair, just put it in 4 large twist or plaits, no need to blow dry it out.
