For me it's clear that technology/social engineering agendas are indeed dumbing down MORE people than before, and that includes the creation of music (less attention span= less complexity in tunes. More urgency in relasing the tracks and making money = less time spent in sound design and arrangement, using templates and patches, no room or desire for experimenting, obsession with hustling renders it all with this soulless tunes that seem GENERATED more than CREATED). I've seen and attend myself some electronic music parties and the youngsters dance so much less than back in the day (they are now too involved with their phones).
I still remember the echo this song made at raves before the drop at 4:15. Whole body feeling cold, tingles up the back of the neck and then hit with the bass. 10 years on and still get the heart palpitations I felt back then. Amazing memories.
I had my first set last Saturday, after a series of strong acid techno tracks I dropped Domino at around 5am. When I saw how people reacted I immediately felt chills, the type you get from xtc at peak time, but I only had a shot of tequila that evening! Had people in the front row give me fist bumps and shake hands one after another. It suddenly became emotional for everyone. I will never forget that feeling, and it was on my very first gig at a club, such a great experience!
