It is useful. Thanks.
Thank you for the great video. It could be improved by not skipping some of the steps. Sometimes it goes to fast from one action to another.

I have been putting off learning Revit because my boss kept dissuading me. From my own perspective right now, Revit seems easier than Autocad.
Your video is very explicit, clear and easy to understand. I am getting it right away!!
Thank you!!!
God bless you!
Thank you
You're welcome 😊
Goed bezig
So it's pretty much a solid models software, like solidworks, inventor or sketchup?
NO. Revit is directed more towards BIM.
It's much more than that...
Can you help me with Revit 32 bit download Link please.
How to add family when i am try to open family like column it comes *no structural columns is loaded in this project. What is the current method. To load families
You need to load the families. The project you are working in has no loaded families. There are the sample families in your generic folders. You can also download families online. You can also create your own custom families...
Does it support for windows 10?
Question. So everything is going well as I draw initially but my floor lines are purple and yours are black. And then once I get the 3 straight walls drawn and the semicircular wall and click the check button (end editing) mine just disappears. Am I doing something wrong?
mine is revit 2018,in it the thicknesses of different walls are in mm.Now how i do change them to inches
You mean other than starting a project in Imperial? Not sure, I know solidworks has an automatic unit converter, you could also use google
Just Type "UN" in workspace , which will Pop Up the Project units window, there you can click & Change units individually for Length, Area, Volume etc.
Thank you very much, I see you said "UN" and get it through. problem is , no youtube video teaches this simple and important step.
Type "U" then "N" and you'd be able to adjust all unit-related settings.
im having trouble with the curved wall. did he skiiped some moves?
please help
Please check my latest video about massing, it will help you create curved or organic geometry.
Any budy tell me how to get Revit archtacture software here only available in trail version I need full software
You buy it. Big $$$$$$$$
What is single door window
Sharing the basics is a great thing! I'm also sharing advanced tips on my channel, let me know your feedback to improve it. Great video BTW!
Thank you very much!
It would be a great video had you not skipped steps and proceeded too fast through levels and roof steps. I spent too much time going back to see what I did not catch the first time. 15 min video took 45 min to view and practice along.
I have the same problem: how to set units first of all? where is the location of project unit dialogue?? I want the imperial, not metric.
Shortcut is UN or go to Manage -> project units
Type "U" then "N" and you'd be able to adjust all unit-related settings.
Or simply start with a metric template not an imperial one.
how to do unit setings in metters...
i just found it type un inside revit and u can see whatever u need to chenge there:) have a nice day
SeenItAllInThisGame yes i got it thnks...stay blessed
Bao Hammas use the shortcut UN and select meters and decimals
Pierina Zabaleta yaah..! I got it thanks...
Type "U" then "N" and you'd be able to adjust all unit-related settings.
Sir please suggest laptop for revit architecture, autocadd and primavera software....which is the best laptop ple tell the configuration sir
I can understand you're a student. Before saying about laptops something very important. Dont ever, ever render your final design on your laptop it will burn it.
For making the designs you need any laptop that has at least 8GB of Ram, A decent graphics card ( GTX 940 ) and preferably an i7 processor. You can get away with less with respect of graphics card and CPU but no less than 8gb ram . Do note that most notebooks are upgradable in terms of RAM so if you find something good lacking RAM you can find a cousin who knows computers and upgrade it for you with an extra 100 dollars
Stephanos Philippou where should we render the final design then?
had to play it on 2x speed because of the narrator
so slow
god
This video is to fast! I have been using standard AutoCAD from the beginning and have no clue as to how to use Revit. I have tried to draw the same model as in the video, but get lost doing simple commands that are shown! I paused and try over and over, but he seems to not explain which keys need to to be pressed in for certain commands etc. When selecting the roof edges and editing them with points and slit lines, mine doesn't pick the endpoints of the building to give it a point from where to rise.
I must be really dumb!
They should take it very slow for beginners........
You can use the Speed option on CZcams to slow down. Some people find this pace the right one, some other even speed it up.
@@bai I believe the people who mentioned speeding it up were joking. Either that, or they already know how to use Revit. I have been using AutoCAD for more than 20 years, and for me this "tutorial" was useless. It goes too fast, and it omits or glosses over key steps and information. This was supposed to be a basic introduction. That means the instructor has to assume the viewer knows NOTHING, and proceed accordingly.
grande fromage.
Good general overview which was helpful but PLEASE stop with the crazy mouse movements in your videos, my God.
What's the problem?
The problem is your nonstop moving and jerking of the mouse during your video. If you care about producing good quality videos for people to watch and like and subscribe to than be willing to listen to good solid feedback and your "what's the problem" is pretty revealing. I'll chose other videos to watch and learn from. 28,000 views and only 121 likes - it's clear others are choosing other videos too.
I believe he is talking about sometimes throughout the video the commentator tends to move things a bit too fast, because he knows what he is doing. Needs to slow down a bit so us new folks can see what all is going on :)
That's great, you may be able to follow this at his rate, not everyone learns at the same speed.
you can always change the speed of the video if necessary :)
no offence, you speak like this to your peers too? :D :D its pretty weird for a youtube video, but you could definitely get a job making audio books!
Hi, my, beloved wife. I do, love. You. Now, Please Make. me Supper
Good info, horrible voice for narrator. Reminded me of the narrator from dukes of hazard
I could careless what your rank is. I am a realist only difference in rank is how long you stayed in.....and the reality in that is enlisted has it harder physically by far!!!!!!!!!!!! And on top of that the marine corps has it harder than any other branch physically and mentally by far!!!!!!!!
This video is not a good tutorial for people who don't already know Revit. Don't waste your time. The instructor omits key information and skips over explaining necessary steps and procedures. Not helpful at all.
