The Fab Four is the greatest Beatles tribute performance I have witnessed short of the Beatles themselves. The addition of Adam Hastings as John is an example of their commitment toward an accurate representation and replication of the Beatles in concert. To replace Rob McNeil is no small consideration. New Years at the Grove in Anaheim ought to be quite the event!
That is so cool that this guy is performing Imagine live now, cos I've been to a few Bootleg Beatles concerts where it would have been cool to hear him sing Imagine and play the piano towards the end of the gig. When it was the 30th anniversary of John Lennon's death in 2010, I firmly felt that there should have been a massive music festival for this and I was quite surprised and even shocked to an extent that there wasn't. After all, John Lennon has now reached the full cycle of rebirth and he won't be coming back in any future incarnations, he is a very Old Soul and a very beautiful One too. It's quite possible that Yoko didn't want this or any kind of festival, which is understandable, but the 40th anniversary is soon coming up and I think there should be such a festival. And I think this guy, Adam Hastings, should perform as himself, not as a John Lennon tribute and play a song like Across the Universe. And congratulations to Adam and his wife on the birth of their son : ) The guys in the Bootleg Beatles are really lovely guys.

Where did you get that impression? If you’re referring to him doing the “Solo John” concerts, that must have got scrapped when he decided to join the Fab Four. Maybe (when the pandemic is all over) they can let him do his Solo show as a side project, they already have Ardy do “Wingsband” and Gavin do “George Harry’s Son” so I don’t see why they wouldn’t let Adam do the same. Look at the date, this was filmed between his time in Bootlegs and Fab Four. There has been no official announcement of Adam leaving, so there’s no need to speculate.
