7 reasons why sowftware engineering is the best job in the world.
I recently started my first full-time job as a software engineer. And for me, choosing this job was anything but a shot in the dark.
You may have already heard my story, but prior to choosing this career, I spent a lot of time pondering and trying different industries and doing a lot of research on what would be the perfect career for me.

I tried working in banking, did not like it. I tried management consulting, which I didn’t mind, but it wasn’t quite the one for me.
And through all of these experiences and all this time I have learned a lot of things about what makes a great career.
And the only career that fulfils all of these points for me is software engineering/tech industry in general.
And based on all of this, here is why software engineering & working in the tech industry in general is the perfect job. For me. But also in general.
A lot of it is not what you think...

I really liked how you advertised the NordVPN.
1- money
2- lifestyle
3- culture
4- the actual work: more intellectually stimulating, solving logical problems
5- job safety and future proof
6- money becoming entrepreneur
7- coding is fun
If I share the video, then there will be more software engineers, and if there are more software engineers, their compensation may come down. Not sharing, sorry!
…true that! HIDE THE VIDEO!!!
Haha
The way you inserted the sponsor section was absolutely brilliant.
It was an otherwise very inspiring video. Kitos!
hehe!
Took one year off from my full-time job as an educator to learn coding. Currently doing CS50 and Blockchain. Thanks for the inspiration🤩
This is encouraging to continue on my path to become a Software Engineer! I've actually been utilizing my skills so far to build a system for my current students to register on - and yes, they're going to be paying me for access and I will make around $6800 next month! So anyone who feels like quitting - DON'T! You CAN do this!
Your videos are a black hole sucking me in binge watching them all and not coding! Amazing job in all your content, you r pure motivation on my busy life schedule trying to be consistent with my learning! Keep it up!
hehe sorry and thanks!
I honestly think that you have just helped me decide which field to choose. I have been debating between Cloud engineering and Data Engineering, and although I have done basic Azure Certifications for both, I just couldn't decide. However, I'm someone that enjoys logical thinking or logical problem solving and struggle with creative side of things. I was and still is scared of programming, but I feel a bit after completing Python basic course😁
...amazing content and thanks again 🙌🙌🙌
🔥🔥
This was amazing your contents quality is far beyond how many subs you have you definitely deserve to have more ❤ I think you have reached your goal of creating the best possible coding and tech videos ever! You’re the only youtuber I watch now!
Thanks so much
congrat the new position. Thanks for sharing the knowledge
My pleasure!
Thanks for sharing. Love you from Bangladesh
I like the idea about the need to earn more money very much. Have to remind myself because retirement in a couple of decades is looming.
I was in accounting 1 year , aerospace 2 and finally in Software engineering which I regret that shouldn't picked up those two first choices.
You left out two awesome points:
If you can code, you can use your skills to automate certain tedious tasks. This can help save you a LOT of time when you, say, start a new business.
If you are a more traditional engineer, you will find coding adds beautifully to it.
True that!
Well, feel you damn well. I studied law (in Germany) and began to hate it like the plague at some point. Luckily I picked up some Python and JavaScript skills over the last year, so I can get started quickly now in a clearly better career.
I totally agree with gaming. I just started learning Python and it instantly clicked in my head like when I really enjoy a game and just want to obsess about it. Finally I found something productive to focus on every possible moment :D
As a Commerce Student, I look forward to become a software engineer, you really inspired students like me!
Best of luck!
@@InternetMadeCoder Thanks ❤️
MBB consultants don’t create value, they just create powerpoint slides. Glad you got out of that into something much more satisfying.
Iam a Lawyer and i agree with you
LMBO The "economics degree" bit. 🤭🤭
hey bro i wanna your advice. now i want to learn coding but. im scared to do all this stuff and not finding job especially im from africa and i want to move to europe or us but when im watching some jobs offers about front end dev most of them are demanding experience im asking should i just do it or choose another career i do not care about passion or what i like all what matter to me is money and moving from my country .
I have an accounting degree but they don't allow mistakes. I like how coding you're expected to make mistakes and you're given time to fix them.
well said!
Hay quá
Could someone explain logical problem solving vs creative problem solving in easier terms?
Latey I been looking into Bootcamps because I don’t wana do college and waste 4 years when I can get it a lot sooner, I’m thinking of boot camps because I been self studying and I realize I lack the guidance on what to learn
your videos are getting better
That’s my goal!
@@InternetMadeCoder wow, I am proud of getting a reply from you😃😌
That sounded like Tech Lead on the nordvpn advertisement
i want to know if you have shown any certificate for your full time job as a software engineer application.
love your videos ⚡
no
What do you do on a day to day bases at the BIG 4 you are working at? How is it different from development jobs at other firms?
I’m on training currently but it’s basically the same as ‘tech firms’ except we develop software for clients (ie, other companies hire us to develop for them) whereas tech firms develop for themselves, ie they work on their own product.
I hope that makes sense!
In simple words
Software enginering = Money
Money = Happiness
I’d say Happiness += Money
Money can add to happiness if used right but there are more important components.
@@InternetMadeCoder i agree with that
I look at it as Money = Comfortability/less stress (one of the factors for happiness)
@@stevengold yup that sounds better
the vpn add was clever😂 I had to like the video after that.
hehe
Hello Sir!
Please make the vid. on making server using python and access them from anywhere
I wish I was as clever as you. However my kids say I’m the best dad in the world so that will do for now 😂
I, like you, majored in finance. Difference is that I worked in it for ten years… Became interested in software engineering a couple months ago and frankly, tired of finance. Came across your videos and it clicked that I want to move into a software engineering role but obviously I have no experience and am self-teaching (so no boot camps to reference). Taking CS50 per your rec and probably P4E after but how do you make an attractive resume when your past work experience and coursework has nothing to do with software engineering? Would be great to see a vid from you on that soon. Thanks!
I've madew a vid on this - th ekey is to just build impressive projects or contribute to open source
@@InternetMadeCoder right, but you still have to submit a resume to apply, which ultimately gets run through a bunch of sorting algorithms and the like, right? Is there a way you highlighted your past, seemingly unrelated work experience to make it more “relevant” or “attractive” for recruiters or to make your resume more visible in a sea of other more possibly attractive applicants? PS thanks for the reply!
How can you start to learn programming and become a software engineer?
What tech stack you work on
Lol that segue to the AD.... 10/10 better than Linus
Haha
What do you think about product management?
I have no knowledge about it
hey I like your videos quality what do u use to edit them
Final cut pro
@@InternetMadeCoder thank you
Would you tech how can start cyber security from your live

Why would you do this? I'm a new grad swe and I'm struggling af.
Brother please guide me online MBA
Something cant be right here or you dont tell the truth, sorry. I am in consulting for the financial industry, working together with digitizarion departments. Coders work also on weekend due to Releases!!! There are incidents weekly and they have to jump in as soon as something occurs. Also... there is a heavy load of coders and engineering out there. 9 to 5 in coding? Never ever
But can you be a software engineer without putting in those crazy hours?
Yes
poor boyy to RICH BOYY
Finally, you upgrade your iphone x to iphone 14pro Max😂😂
Haha nice you noticed!!!
Please low your background music because unable to understand clearly what you are saying
I'm leaving medicine to learn coding. Never enjoyed it. Always was tech fan.
good luck! A much better field imo because the pay is probably same but with coding you have so much less time investment in education
