I feel so lost and torn between how to feel about the dead friend and his feeling separated and alone, as that’s pretty much my life and tale if it were told about, only I don’t even have the friend to share my story, or the fire pit situation with. I have always been drawn to those kind of eyes ve they in a movie character like in Death Becomes Her, or some kind of super hero character like Storm in artwork by Jim Lee or any other character I’ve seen them in. And that the story ended on them just gave me tear filled eyes streaming down my cheeks and the raised tingling of haired skin all over my arms and down my bare back as I sit listening to this unexpectedly at about 3am in my bed, having slept the entire day. I only hope that this isn’t a sign that it’s my date now that I’m aware of such a thing’s exciting in either myth/lore or common collective consciousness.
Wow. I am so happy I decided to listen to this amazingly well-written story after some sleep...I didn’t want to waste a minute of this finely delivered tale. Bravo! I have to mention that my mind was blown yesterday with the story delving into Finnish mythology with, “Keijukainen”. 🇫🇮 And, today? Fascinating folklore from my husband’s German roots, “Das ungetüm unmensch”. 🇩🇪 Coincidence? I think not! #Creepy #CTFDN #Horror 🔪 🩸 🩸 🩸
Awesome story! I love everything related to monsters and folklore. But "Unmensch" in German means ... well... it means someone is an asshole, or a bad evil sadistic person. In a more Witcher 3 bestiary and folklore context "Biest" or "Ungeheuer" means beast (in a creepy carnivourus context), "Bestie" is a more strong form (for a big, and very dangerous beast or monster) and "Monster" means monster. I also recommend reading Ghouls and Alghouls together with Ciri and Geralt while sitting near the chimney to prepare for the next monster hunting season.
