    I mean this is no way to be shady... I love that you are embracing your grays. They tend to get a negative stigma even though they’re a part of life. Also, your hair cut looks great.

      Thank you ☺️ I tend to not fuss about my grays because I think they are beautiful and in no way make me look or feel old. With me being a hairstylist I see the everyday struggle with women who are obsessed with covering gray. I encourage them to embrace it but they spend the money anyway🤷🏽‍♀️

    I have literally just watched over a dozen long vids on (complicated) trimming as soon as I saw this one I jumped up followed the directions and was amazed with my results 3 minutes later.

    My hair grows asymmetrical too. The sides are always longer even if I keep up with my trims regularly.

    Your method really works! It’s quarantine and I’ve had a stressful day. I followed your instructions and I did great! It’s not perfect but it’s SOOOOOO much better. *it also helps that I worked in a beauty shop as an assistant long ago*

    . Lmaoooo that hair went flying and the touch down remark got me cracking up. Where was this trim method last night when I chopped off half my hair though 😒😒. I’m a natural stylist I got time for everybody else but as soon as mine healthy and growing something makes me stop and start over. This time won’t mess up lol .

    Getting rid of as much bad ends help promote length. That way those split ends don't continue to split and break up the hair shaft. A little scissor work makes all the difference.

    This comment is a little late but just in case you're checking, I want to know if you ever go into your hair and trim or just cut the ends straight across and still get that amazing length?

      Yes. I do interior trims pretty often. You can still get the length doing inside trims. They are important.

    My hair looks exactly like this, but.......NO HEAT DAMAGE!!! I only use heat once a year. I'm not sure why this happened to my strands. I never wear my hair out, keep it in plaits and always hidden under a silk scarf and a cap. My ends are very curly???? They look like new hair at the ends. Please can you give me some suggestions??? I don't want to cut it if I can avoid it because of the way my ends look.

      I know this is an old comment but had to ask anyway. Do you moisturize your ends? If not, you may benefit by doing the greenhouse effect on your ends.

    I washed
    Deep conditioned
    Heat protect
    Blow dried bone straight
    Put on serum
    Flat ironed on 420 type 4b hair
    Hair was silky for 20 minutes and puffed in 3 seconds
    What did I do wrong?

    Great video. I would still go to my stylist for a trim, because I am horrible at straightening my hair. I don't have a flat iron... But, it's good to see that it can be done. Also, we have similar hair density. Not sure about texture...but, I look forward to seeing more of your videos. 😁

    I actually think as a professional, you could have taken off another inch or 2. You can still see thinning at the ends. This was still a good video and your hair is in better shape than when you started out.

      I have seen stylists cut curly. If you are never going to straighten your hair a curly cut it fine.

      Yes I thought maybe another inch or two, but tbf I never cut all my ends in one go - I end up having to get a hairdresser to do it
