Testing my old DT 770 pro (80 ohm) headphones with my new Schiit stack (Magni Heresy and Modi 3). Impressed.
I want to get the Modi 3 but I'm not sure how much a difference there is. Is there any noticeable improvement in sound quality? Also for the amp I was thinking about the Magni 3, and my headphones are Sennheiser x Massdrop HD 6XX (same drivers and nearly identical sound signature to the HD 650s)

@@miamiveterano564 Well, You listen to what you have. I took a 2" speaker out of an old TV and jumped it to the transistor speaker. So it's kinda stereo. You should hear it when I turn it up to about 7. I don't do that to much because it really uses up the 9 volt battery.
Tested with Rockford 1200 watts and 4 subs, work great my walls still entire.
Sounds great on my Skull Candy earphones. Excellent bass! 😊

Probably catch some audiophile hate but what the hell. Had a 26 y.o. pair of Bose 601's that I haven't used in over 6 years. Few weeks back hooked them up to a Yamaha MX-1 amp that I've had for 25 years. Threw in my Re-Mastered Gold "Dark Side of the Moon" CD and cranked it up. It blew out all the woofers. So I replaced the (4) 8" woofers with new speakers with better power rating. The new speakers sound way better than the originals ones ever did even when they were brand new. They aren't on PSB/Klipsch levels (I am sure a better crossover would make a difference also, but I need more knowledge before I attempt that project) but I can longer call these Bose speakers for sure. This sound test sounded pretty damn good. Now off to run some other tests and hope the new speakers hold up.
