- In today's video, I am swapping books with my husband for a week! My husband loves grim dark, epic fantasy, and horror while I love epic fantasy as well but I also love romance and thrillers! I literally stared at the wall for 20 minutes after dark matter. One of my all time favorites. Now both of you have to read his other book Recursion. Also amazing.

You and Ian are always so sweet to watch, and the books he gave you looked really great! I really appreciate how honest you are - especially during Malice. I've been wanting to jump into more fantasy books, but there's always a worry in the back of my head that I'm not going to be "smart enough" to fully understand and enjoy it. It was really cool to see you push past the hard part of Malice and really fall in love with it. I'm definitely going to be adding it to my tbr - along with Dark Matter and The Storied Life of A. J. Fikry!

The Faithful and the Fallen is in my top 3 fantasy series of all time. And in my opinion each book gets better and better, with Wrath being my favorite in the series.

I have just finished The Stories Life of AJ Fikrey and the audiobook is amazing for me it was a 5 ⭐️read as it’s also an adaptation of the classic Silas Marner by George Eliot. I am now starting The Hazel Wood audiobook ‼️💯😅😊

I just stumbled upon this video, but it seems like so much fun. Going to have to watch more of your videos. I wish I'd heard Ian's description of Dark Matter first lol, when I heard about it everyone used the plot twist to describe it, and I didn't even realize *that* was the twist until it happened. I'd just been waiting for the guy to figure it out already lol.

His others involve more science, DM had some also but the right amount

Malice it sounded you really liked was ur score based of how long it was or lack of female in it and do you plan to read the others some day. Curious cause I have the series as well and haven’t started it yet. Book 1 I definitely need to get loved ur take on it was like u were lost of words and I do own Dark Matter and definitely need to read you got me all excited for it. I was listening to Malice and I got 32% of the book and I had to dnf it because I just couldn’t focus on it and 26 chapters and I don’t know what I had read. I might need to get the actual book or just get it on audible so that I can take my time with it because my library had a waitlist and I felt rushed in trying to get through it. What do you recommend the paperback or audible of Malice ?

I'm currently writing 5 different genres and here's a glimpse of what happens to one of my characters that I designed myself. My character is stuck in a Playlist of songs. Every time a new song plays , a new world appears. I'd like to know both of your thoughts on it? I'm between writing fantasy, dystopia, mystery, romance and science fiction which genre u guys think that character is in? Can't wait to hear both your thoughts .😊
Sounds like fantasy. Or romantasy, if you mean to focus on a love story, too. Depending on your execution, this has the potential to be very good.

I have just finished listening to The Storied Life of AJ Fikrey and it’s a 5 ⭐️ read‼️ I also feel like I read a classic because it’s a modern adaptation of the classic Silas Marner by George Eliot. I have added Malice and Dark Matter to my library’s waitlist for the audiobooks. I also now 😅😊need to read Tomorrow, tomorrow, and tomorrow.
I only have 3 five star reads and tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow is one of them i still think about it it is so so good and beautiful

Ok I've had my eye on A J Fikry since i read Tomorrow x3 and adored it... so guess I've got to go buy that now! 😂 I found Malice really boring and predictable, it read so young to me and very much as "boys writing for other boys" 🙈🙈 zero intrigue and very much not for me...I don't understand alllll the hype at all but I'm very happy other people love it 😂😂
I just posted on Ian’s upload now it’s my time to harass you hahahhahaha how am I supposed to pick who to watch first if you damn cuties post at the same time!?! ;) 😘 I love you guys HECKKKK YEAAAAHHH. IT’S IAN AND ASHLYNN TIME!! And you absolutely need to read The Only One Left together! Add that as another idea for that romance TBR prompt I gave you last week. Not only that but it’d be cool to see you “buddy” read together at times. Lmao at the “magic” quip at Dark Matter. If you loved that Storied Life book, try “A Man Called Ove” by Fredrick Bachman. It’s long the same lines. So cute and moving. Also, read “Mistborn.” There’s a reason it’s picked as an intro into adult fantasy. Tons of characters, excellent magic, politics and it’s not overwhelming. The whole trilogy is chef’s kiss. I wanna do a buddy read with you guys too. Talk to Ian and let’s do something in 2024, but after the holidays. Think about it and let me know. Love ya guys, weekly smooches and stuff

Malice is the weakest book in the faithful and the fallen series it gets better with the sequel i have read all the books in the series and the spinoff series 😊
