This scene legitimately freaked me out when I first played through this game. Then I saw Doctor Octopus's claw grab Spiderman's hand and it immediately hit me; the Sinister Six.
I figured it'd be the Sinister Six from the E3 showcase, when they kept Doc Ock hidden from us. I immediately knew what it'd be. Otto was a nice surprise though, even though as soon as I saw him for the first time in the game, I knew he'd be Doc Ock.

That sense of betrayal... I mean - as fans we HAD to know it was coming in some form or another. We knew he was going to turn into Doctor Octopus. But the build-up - the investment in Doctor Octavius as a nice guy. Making us HOPE he wouldn't... And then - despite numerous warning signs, for him to show up HERE - be the man in charge of the rest of the Sinister Six?
GOD DAMN - the guys at Insomniac should be PROUD of themselves! That was a masterstroke of emotional manipulation - and it shows in these reactions!

The voice acting in this video game was phenomenal. You can hear the betrayal in Spidey's voice when he sees it's Otto.

Comic service. In the comics vulture was one of Spider-Man's weakest villains. Spider-Man would easily whoop his ass countless times only for him to show up again for some more ass whoopings.

1. Why does Vulture literally get his ass kicked everytime he attacks Spiderman? And 2. I like how after Spiderman gets shocked, Martin Li just gets a cheap kick in before they beat his ass.
Matthew Sanchez Give Vulture a break; the man's not only 73 but has spinal cancer for goodness sake. The fact that he's going toe to toe with Spider-Man in his condition is a miracle in itself.
I knowticed each of those as well when I played. Every time vulture gets beat, Li just does that little kick, and Electro was just standing in the back waiting

One of my favourite things about this scene is how terrified Spidey sounds when Electro starts hurting him. You never really see what it’s like when your favourite superhero is scared for their life, so it really is a great change of pace. The moment he starts getting his ass handed to him, he realises that this could be the end and he’s never really had to face that before seeing as how this is the first time the Sinister Six have formed

This is real af, my second play through was when I actually realized that if you start going around his lab after Norman cuts his funding, the hints get less and less subtle that he’s reaching his breaking point

Anyone else notice that Electro was the only one who play fair? I mean he never attacked spider while he was figthing the others, even after Mr Negative pushes peter to him, Electro didn't atack and even when peter was being punished in the floor, he wait until everyone finished to make his part, I don't know but Electro seems like an honorable dude to me.

Seeing this... makes me sort of wish that the MCU's Spidey films doesn't introduce the Sinister Six as villains. That would be really brutal.
Oh yeah. If adult Peter barely held his own for that long, you can bet high school Peter would not feel so good a second time.
I mean, on the one hand it would teach young Peter another lesson about the life of a superhero, but on the other hand, it would be kind of horrific to see a teenager be ganged up on and beaten to an inch of his life by a bunch of psychotic, adult villains.
Red Tiger speak for yourself MCU Spider-Man is so cookie-cutter and childish so this would make people take it more seriously and I miss brutal fights in Superhero movies...
The MCU Parker/Spidey is like still in his roots (with like, probably only a year's worth of experience). You can't expect the kid to be suddenly as experienced as his previous adult incarnations on the silver screen. In my opinion, MCU Spidey has a lot of room to grow, which is good all on its own.

What i really like about this game is the suits . When i watched youtubers play it some of them chose different suits and when i played it and picked a different suit it was not just a game every one plays and I am trying it . It gave me this feeling that this is my own spider man story
