The swingman jerseys are lighter and perfect for summer wear I was just at Mitchell and ness and I personally like how they fit I had previously ordered an authentic jordan jersey but it was too baggy on me only downside with the swingman is that everything is heat pressed but I heard prior to 2018 they were single twill…

I have been collecting so many Mitchell and Ness NBA jerseys since 2021. I have many swingman jerseys and only 2 authentic jerseys . I mainly buy swingman jerseys unless its a team or player that has been a big part of my childhood growing up which is where I invest in the authentic ones. Great video!

Great video, I just bought the authentic rookie year home jerseys for both of these icons. Authentic was a must for me because these two are who I grew up watching and made me fall in love with the game of basketball.

  • @Silenced_by_nazi_youtube

I’m just starting my collection. I think Authentic is the gold standard, there will probably be more collectors value with authentics and it’ll hold its value well into the future. However they aren’t really affordable and it’s hard to justify spending $300 for a Jersey. Which is funny I say that because I just picked up 2 jordan authentics totaling up to around damn near $700. I’ll go swingman for other jerseys but I’ll go authentic for MJ and/or jerseys of my team favorite team and players. For example TMac is one of my favorite players, I’ll go authentic on that one, Kings are my home team and my favorite, I’ll go authentic on that one. And ofc any future Jordan jerseys. However I want a Latrell Sprewell NYC Jersey, I’ll be fine just getting a swingman of that, or a Larry Johnson Hornets., or an Artest Pacers.

The deciding factor for me is, if it’s my all-time favorite players I go authentic. If it’s just a player I like I go for the other option. For example, top shelf jerseys would be Kobe Bryant, Clayton Kershaw, Charles Woodson, Mark Stone. For the lower tier of jersey it would be players like Anthony Davis, Walker Buehlere, Darren Waller. These are players I like, but have not reached those heights for me yet. I know this is a basketball jersey video, but just in case anyone needed a deciding factor for other sports as well.

Great comparison between the two versions!
I´ve been collecting authentics for a couple of years now and really like the quality of the brand.
Allthough I was always satisfied with most of their products (including caps, shirts, jerseys...) I just don´t like the look of the "fake stitching" on the swingmans.
Just heatpress the names and numbers on it, but don´t try to make it look like it´s stitched - but that´s nothing new, even the older versions (Swingman 1.0) had some fake stitching going on when there were multiple colors in the logo/name/number.
    Best wishes from Germany!
    Joshua

    Hello
I want to say this. The mitchell and ness jersey swingman jersey looks better on its own. The authentic is something the players actually wear, feels better and stitched. Something about that makes you feel like it is an honor to wear an authentic compare to heat-pressed. The orlando magic tracy mcgrady jersey is the best example in my opinion. The swingman is a blue jersey while the authentic you see the stars and material is different.

I think the swingman jerseys from the 90s players are the only ones close to the authentic just heat pressed. Alot of the jerseys back then had prints on them like the bucks grizzlies or suns just name a few. When you get in different eras the differences are glaring. The swingman jerseys of early 2000 players and teams are terrible i.e. vince carter raptors or tmac magic the reebok authentics then are made with different materials and m&n ignored that and just used polyester for everything smh.

I bought a Phillies Jersey like 2 years ago and the stitching was missing on the top of one of the numbers on the jersey. Then they made me pay the shipping to send it back and to get a new one. Then recently I bought one of the name and number Long sleeve shirts because Inwas nervious about paying $250.00 $300.00 for a jersey again and I had the same problem. The stitching on the top of one of the numbers was totally missing it wasnt even there. That shirt was $110.00 and the numbers are stitced not screen printed. So I don't understand why they can't stitch the numbers on the swingman for the same price.
