As a bisexual, I loved that Jackie is, as she so blatantly put it, "into both" I love how sure of herself she is. In every aspect, it seems, she is a strong woman and she knows who she is and what she's about. Seeing a good representation of a bisexual who's sure of herself and her sexuality was really refreshing.
OMG thank you for mentioning that K Stewart looks like Shane in this movie. It's all I could think about when watching it. I kept calling her Shane in my head. I am currently rewatching the L Word so it's just been on my mind.
As an evil straight male commenting on this very funny lesbian review, I'd like to know what it is about Shane that has my lady friends forgetting to breath? What is it about her? I find her sometimes very self centered?
Saw this a few times already and will be screening again. Def great to see on the big screen. Rose Glass is such a masterful artist. Great direction, acting, and totally hot. *my heart*
Actually, I watched this movie twice on theatres. The first by myself, surrounded by sapphic couples, feeling like the last single lesbian in town. The second was when my 50 year old cousin who's visiting wanted to see a film, and chose this one. It was very fun to see my older straight relative in the cinema packed with queer people, watching a queer movie, and only shocked at the guy laughing at the violence next to her. Love my family.
Sapphic Underground, you have definitely been missed!! I was getting worried, so I’m very happy to see that you’re alright. 😅 This movie was something, wasn’t it? 🤯 Watching it in a movie theater full of lesbians made it even better! 🌈 Kristen & Katy were amazing as Lou and Jackie, but extra props to Jena Malone for totally disappearing into Beth, the tragically abused sister of Lou.👏👏👏 Thanks for doing a full review of this movie. WELCOME BACK!! 😘
Great movie. Totally agree on not all is spoken out and the need to pay attn to what the characters are putting out there with body language etc. Also nice to have flawd representation that I am still all in for and no deaths.
This movie wasn't playing in a theater in my area or I would have went to go see it. Thus, I was anxiously awaiting the day I could rent it. I don't normally buy movies (I don't usually like watching more than once). With this one though, I wish I would have bought it instead, because I keep thinking that I want to watch it again.
Darling where have you been? So happy that you brought us your perspective on this film. I love that this film is from a female gaze. Can’t wait to see it!
Gurl are you gettin' into Blank The Series or nah? It's really impressive to me how great it is and also I've been obsessed in the past with Faye and now I am even more if thats possible.
I loved everything about this film except the giant woman at the end. Like at least cut back to show it from Lou’s perspective. It turned a moment of empowerment into a moment where I was laughing, hoping beyond hope the perspective would shift.
i looooved this film so much! i’ve watched it 3 times already haha. and katy o’brian 👀💕 also yes my one concern with the film was i wanted to know more about the characters especially jackie. i wish they delved more into her backstory.
Hi! I discovered your channel some months ago and I'm loving a lot of the videos. Thanks to you I discovered Sarah Waters and added quite a few lesbian movies to my endless thematic watchlist ahahah I have a question: do you have, by any chance, a letterboxd profile? If so, I would love to follow you also there. It's a very useful app for movie lovers. Anyway, cheers from Italy!
I love your videos so much!!! I desperately wish I have a friend like u to talk about all the lesbian stuff 😂 Btw, have you made Mulholland Drive? If not, you should definitely look into it.
Saw it last night. EMEGHERD!!! 😮... beyond stunning ... I agree with almost everything you said, except the bit about pacing. I felt as though the 'one thing after another' really reflected the way all the characters carefully constructed worlds were falling apart in front of their eyes. 😊 .... and, more like a worthy successor to Bound rather than Mulholland Drive ...I think enough time has passed for a rewatch, and another and another. 😊
A24 movies have been uneven in story and/or execution. I want to watch this one only because you thought it was good. Otherwise, it's just a Hillbilly gangster movie.
"Thank you, Rose Glass, for increasing my homoxexuality." Maybe you need your own Netflix comedy hour I find your reviews very witty, unique, and funny. In truth, I simply watch your review presentations because of you. I probably won't actually watch the films. But your passionate, goofy and funny. Lol but for real. Well done.
Spring is here! Snufkin has returned to Moominvalley 💚! As for the film, I will have my opinion in 84 years cause, as far as I know, there's no premiere date for Poland yet 🤷🏻♀. Thank you for the video 😘! Happy to see you!
You should watch "Blank The Series". It's a thai gl, that takes place in the same universe as GAP the series and is avaliable on youtube. Warning: you're going to be pregnant again with Faye Malisorns babies.
Yes, please!? I wish the series was longer. But still happy that Faye and Yoko will have future projects. I've seen a lot of people claiming to be pregnant with P'Faye's baby/ies. We need to support Faye and her projects so she could support these babies. Hahaha
Am I the only one who felt they live in a worse world after watching this film than they did before? It was authentic, gay and had a happy ending, but still managed to make me feel bad.
Just seen a video from 10 months ago about WWE star rhea Ripley aka mami and you fell in love. We NEED another video of you reacting to her especially when she broke the Internet a few days ago. As a lesbian im sure it would drive you crazy
When the world needed her the most... Kristen and a muscle mama beckoned her forth. Welcome back to the land of the lesbians, Sapphic Underground.

So funny right?

Awe, last single person in town. Cute and sad.
Did you notice the altered version of “Tell Me” from Killing Eve at the end? I literally gasped out loud in the theater, I was shook lmao
That one is sung by Saoirse Ronan, right?
Omggg yessss i was still dumbfounded by hulk jackie and purple skies when that song dropped and i was like waiiiiit ughhhhh this songghhhhh
I did notice it! I loved it! I can't stop listening to this song.
Good to hear you from the woods again. Nice to see you've brought some floral friends.

This film has also changed my life forever ❤ I’m bouta order a bunch of muscle shirts and I can’t stop watching LLB edits on TikTok 😂

You've been very missed.🥺🖤♎

Looking forward to this. There's a dearth of edgier lesbian movies.
I use to have muscles. I still do. I just used to too.
Your new mic is sick!!! 💕💕💕

Yay!!! You’re back!!! Missed ya. I’m definitely checking out this film. ❤❤😂😂🎉🎉
Happy to see you arise and have my eye out for this film. Leo and a plant based female here
I'm glad you're back and I did miss you. Thanks for the video 😊☀️

Yes i have missed you
Tessa's hair is even longer, it's been so long 😱
I’m beginning to gain more muscles, just throwing that out there. Not at the stage of Katy O’Brian, of course.
This is the only review I wanted to see! Thank you for this❤
Glad you are back!!!
You have been missed.🥰
You have been missed! Filmed in New Mexico posing as Nevada.
This film stays with you well after it ends. I've been playing the soundtrack playlist on spotify ever since I left the theater.
I almost couldn't recognize Ed Harris...
Wow was that Ed Harris?
Thanks for pointing that out.
Correction Female attention and reassurance… hahah you are so real bc same !!!
OMG you are soooo funny xD I just love you
Loved the film so much! I can't wait to buy it on Blu-Ray and rewatch it again 🙌 fantastic review 👏 😃
Did you see this at a film festival like BFI Flare? That's where I saw it.
A24 movies have been uneven in story and/or execution.
I want to watch this one only because you thought it was good. Otherwise, it's just a Hillbilly gangster movie.
Yup missed ya cutie ❤️
Missed you boo

I love your videos. Now I definitely have to watch this movie. Greetings from Ecuador 🇪🇨
This film was awesome. I concur that I would have wished it was longer. But oh well.
Excited!!!!
My favorite scene in _Love Lies Bleeding_ was when Jackie beat the hell out of one of the female bodybuilders at the Las Vegas competition.
As a 40yo man, I suggest D.E.B.S
As a lesbian, I agree
One of my faves
As a soon to be 40 year old lesbian, I agree!
Loved it 😊
I loved this film so much! Watched it twice lol. Halfway across the world and miss my girlfriend dearly 😂
It also felt influenced by the Cohen brothers.
lol great video!
I love New Mexico
😁
You should watch "Blank The Series". It's a thai gl, that takes place in the same universe as GAP the series and is avaliable on youtube.
Warning: you're going to be pregnant again with Faye Malisorns babies.
W3 should make some

My lord sweetie! This film in one word 'Depressing" Yes, the acting was great... that's all! 😔
*brings you a cup of water, cuz you look thirsty*
Am I the only one who felt they live in a worse world after watching this film than they did before? It was authentic, gay and had a happy ending, but still managed to make me feel bad.
Vegan..lol come here Leo
Not a huge fan of women with muscular bodies, but I will watch anything with Kristen Stewart.
