Hi . My controller isnt coming on . Tried resetting it n the light came on when i pushed on the reset button then off again. The USB cable is charging the other controller properly. What can you advise as this 1 wasnt charged for a while?

theoretically you could charge the battery. But even then, that doesn't fix the issue, and there's a chance the ps4 will still refuse to charge it, recognizing the battery doesn't behave properly. Your battery has discharged beyond a safe level (3.2v/cell is really, really low, 3v/cell is the bare minimum where it's safe to recharge) and likely suffered permanent damage from that. Assuming it's a bad battery of course.

If its lighting up showing it's charging but it's not actually holding a charge that would be a fault with the battery and if replaced should fix the issue, same thing happens with car batteries

My controller won't I know exactly why but I had a question. It won't charge from the port on top bu would it charge from the port on the bottom?
I use a charging dock and it says my controller is charging but next morning it's still empty. It seems I can't find a solution to my situation, I use the bottom of my control to charge.
I reset my controller then tried to blow really hard into and onto every port and it started to work again
In my case it seems the controllers drive back the current so when I plug in to the TV usb output the TV turns off and the same for chargers

Hey, when i charge my controller it doesn't charge fully it only charges up to 2 bars and when i dont use my controller for 1-2 days despite its fully charged it's battery drains to zero percent.

Not sure if it'll work for you but I had to push my USB cord in hard into my PS4 and it started charging
My controller lights up like it's charging and will connect via bt but it will immediately die again after connecting it. I tried the reset button and cleaned the USB port and still nothing. Idk what that means for me. I'm autistic so buying and using a new controller us uncomfortable for me because I want to use my usual controller or I don't want to play. Ocd kinda.
When mine would be plugged in and it has the playstation button pressed, it would blink light blue for a few seconds before going solid blue but after a second it would just turn off completely.
Hm. My problem was that it had to be connected to the PS4 USB port
i cant use the top port because somethings inside of it and is stuck like metal i cant get out, and when i try to use the bottom, the charging station just turns off

Yo I found out if you guys are having problems with your controller cherges but not connecting to the ps4 I don't like to take much risks but there should be a black cord behind your ps4 just unplug that kne for 2 to 3 minutes then plug it back in then connect a charger to that controller and it should work but before you try it dust the sides to the console just in case. You guys can try it if you want Don't be scared and just trust like or comment this comment if this works for you. Tell me if it works also Don't put your ps4 into rest mode all the time I learned it the hard way.
Bummed. I tried all the previous steps and when I got to the take the controller apart, at separating the face step the triggers plastic parts all broke. I wish I had never followed his advice to open it up. I could have still charged from the EXT port.
I have a different issue to where my ps4 will charge my phone but it wont charge my controller and I got a new controller to see if that was the problem but my new one wont even connect to my ps4
My problem is my controller turns on but it won’t recognize any button presses so I can’t get pass the press PlayStation button on controller screen and sometimes it just doesn’t turn on at all.

my only works if i put a different full charged battery that is charged when the battery goes to 0% it stops working again and to charge the battery i have to put the battery in a different controller i changed the ports but the ports work in different controller not to mention it keep showing yellow light like its charging even with out being plugged in wtf ?

Mine won't connect straight outa the box. Do I just have terrible luck or is sonys quality controll ass? I go through controllers faster than bread. And no its not the cord bought 3 new ones. None work.
Charges through the other port on th bottom but you can't connect that way.
