I'm absolutely in love with this reno! It makes me want a bungalow home so bad!
Love it! Love Spokane! Grew up in Seattle and visited family there frequently, now my brother and his family live there.
Loved it❤️. What a difference in the 'details' from the West coast to East coast! Amazing mirrows in the master bathroom‼️
you look cute, gorgeous, beautiful, astonish, with this profile picture of yours
This is the first time l've seen your videos...l'm a decorator and old home Renovator...and from Spokane! love it!
You two have a great attitude which allows you to do so GREAT THANK YOU
I totally love this show and this house, very inspirational. We’ve rehabbed over 30 houses, big and small and I don’t know how they can do all that plus HVAC, windows, insulation plumbing , wiring, roof etc etc. and labor for 60k. good job 👍
I like the design - I agree: drop the word art, the Mr. Mrs. above the bed, the sewing machine cabinet sink. And $60,000 is low for new kitchen 3 new baths, and new master. I notice that flip shows never include holding costs such as insurance, utilities, property taxes, and closing costs to sell. That's my opinion--Diane - 10 year flipper in New Mexico, and author of I Sold My House in a Raffle.
I'm guessing that they budget that my money out to cover those expenses when purchasing the house along side the reno budget. That makes logical sense along with they probably got a renovation loan along side of a regular loan to cover those expenses ijs🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️
I absolutely loath the word art. What happened to 'picture tells a thousands words'? So we are replacing thousand with one?
The OLD kitchen sink & bath tub were AMAZING!!! I have my parent's old clawfoot tub that they couldn't use because they needed a walk-in shower due to age and I am never moving from my home without it! It's narrow & deep and my back rests perfectly against the angled end of the tub.
I live in Spokane and drive through the Perry District and pass this house all the time. How fun to see the backstory to its transformation.
Just came across your channel. I enjoyed watching you save and reuse some of the antique stuff and work it into a new design. I think it’s “Charming”. I’d watch more episodes. You have great personality.
I MUST BE your target audience. 👏👏👏
I just discovered this show and love it! The hosts are great and would be cool to hang around with LOL
I love this show exactly because they salvage what they can, I cringe every time I watch demolition on other shows because I see so many good things being destroyed and throw away.
Vacant for 10 years. I am surprised the roof hadn't fallen in, the cooper wiring was still there and someone hadn't kick the back door in.
The repurposed window and clawfoot tub in the master bath really make that bathroom. The flooring choice is a winner!
It will and took a small miracle; to complete this home!! lol Kyle Marsh, the Contractor is very handsome!! The ladies did an amazing job decorating and finding material for the rehab! Very nice!!👍
Oh my gosh! I love what Grounded is doing with this cute little house!
Such negative comments below! Obvious these ladies know their business. Pulling down walls bring out lots that need to change to be able to sell (code issues like electric, plumbing and asbestos issues must be part of every Reno). People seem to forget staging items don’t stay with the home...just for show. I think they did a great job! ❤️
Laurie Huber you are so right. And this is a cute little vintage bungalow that will appeal to mostly people with a bit of a funky, bohemian style. The furnishings and decor are entirely appropriate. They also understood what type of people want to live in that area, and they aren’t cookie cutter suburbanites. Taking down the writing would be so easy.
Beautiful work ladies. It’s STUNNING 👍👍
Yes...avoid the ubiquitous "Words" and focus on charming little paintings or etchings---"WORDS" always leave me feeling that a school master is screaming at me!
I love these women. They are so positive even when all I see the house before reno was junk.
Did they do anything to sort the pest problems, the non maintained electoral wiring and plumbing, and lack of insulation?
Probably not with only 60k and the other work they did. Maybe they inherited an immaculate house that didn't have problems with electricity. But they definitely had to have a plumber with all those changes and additions.

For some people Renovation is a passion. It is only when you love your job, you can transform even dilapidated space into a valuable asset. Like these two women who did a wonderful job here, we too transform homes and serve our clients with happiness.
I love bungalows. You did a great job.
We had an open-floor plan and an island. And a fabulous loft!
Those huge icicles mean that there isn't adequate insulation in the attic. I would make you upgrade it before I would make an offer. Jus' sayin'.
Such a great transformation. I love it.
Beatiful!!!! You two do a great work!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👂👏
Lovely ladies... The house looks absolutely beautiful
I adore this beautiful eclectic home.
Wow, this house is gorgeous, even the curb appeal is beautiful! Great job!
The end result is beautiful🥰👌🏽
I loved your episode and the repurposed items that were used. However, I have built 6 homes and there is just no way to have the high end appliances and an addition with not only 1/2 bath but a full ensuite as well for 60k.
I don't think they pay for labor in this show...something is up. Anyway....those appliances are not that high end. That kitchen suite can be purchased for less $2500.
They may be paying wholesale for purchases (not sure about how your tax system over there operates, but our companies can purchase direct from wholesalers, tax-free.) Something else tho, all of the workers on set could be employees of their company, so they don't actually have to pay them by invoice from that '1 house business budget' as you would normally pay contractors who aren't related. So their $60k budget could be just materials & minimal expenses. The labourers, contractors, etc wages are then paid by the company, who usually receives money from the TV people for the "talent" (the people) and also for the "intellectual property" (whose idea it was to make the show) & "artistic content" (if their professional artistic experience is specifically used to better the show). Obviously this all helps to pay everyone, even if it doesn't go directly to them.
Joanne Carroll That’s a ridiculous way to explain their bullshit claims. Nobody watching wants to circumvent how everybody gets paid, just tell the actual total in real costs a job like this would cost.
Great job ladies. Transformation looks pretty!
Veneer on old sewing machine will disintegrate with water. Not a good choice.
Amazing reno. I'm going to love finding a small but chic house such as this.
I love the Mr. and Mrs. over the bed! Great idea! ..very traditional.
You did a great job. Its so lovely.
Beautiful reno. Wouldn't change a darn thing!
Whose still here enjoying this beautiful Bungalow Reno with me in 2019!! #timeless

Love the vintage pieces
post more vidoes like this please. im totally obsessed!
Great episode!
Absolutely Gorgeous!! A bungalow craftsman is my dream home 🏡 love the you look great in the bathroom..
Yes, a Craftsman bungalow (updated since it was built, of course!) is my fantasy home too. I just love them!
Wow you gals are awesome doing fantastic work 👍😘
Wauw...very good. I want to see more of these episodes
Gorgeous job! I would like to see ACTUAL costs. How much did the contractor cost? Tearing the asbestos off & completely replacing the outside cost? New roof, plumbing, electrical & those crews? It would make the show even more interesting to see the real costs.
And why would it make the show more interesting? You do know prices vary from one state to another, heck, they vary from city to another. So, how can it help? This show is for entertainment purposes only and not as how-to guide on how to do it, what to do, and how much it would cost.
Worst to first is the best. Touch of professional
I love your show!
Love the sewing table sink!
Beautiful project and also invenstment nice job mam.. 😊😊😊
turned out gorgeous! love the vintage details like the sewing table (i´ve got such a thing from my granny, too and never could think of it as a washingtable - brilliant!) and the tub. Great project - could you two come to my place, too?
So neet to see this friendship. Wish to see more:)
Love it! Such a great house. Would love to have one like it.
I find this hard to believe in this area. I love the renovation (except for the writing on the wall), and can’t believe anyone would even think about putting those windows in the dumpster.
great show
I think it looks charming. A lot of it is modern looking but most people will go for it and that's what they want.
Excellent job. The writing on the wall is a bit much for me
you look cute, gorgeous, beautiful, astonish, with this profile picture of yours
Love it...love it...who are these people who have pushed dislike?
Good job ladies!!
Please visit Ontario California. We have so many that need your love and talent.
I like the fact they get along
Totally awesome and creative. Loved it!
Wow, very beautiful!
GREAT JOB!!!!!!
it is absolutely stunning :-)
It's absolutely gorgeous 😍
Uau! Maravilhosamente aconchegante, elegante. Perfeito!
what a lovely charming house
Love ❤️ what you came up with gorgeous 😊🐶👍😺❤️
Why didn't they reuse that awesome kitchen sink?!
Yes! When they first toured the house, I was expecting one of them to say "we're gonna use the vintage sink".
@@huneebunee you look cute, gorgeous, beautiful, astonish, with this profile picture of yours
I wonder how long that paint will last being done in the snow and freezing cold.
You do know that there is a such thing as outside weatherproof paint 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🤔🤔🤔🙄🙄🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
how can you work on a house built in 1909 and not realize there could be asbestos?especially when they have done lots before?
I was thinking the same thing. I've never bought or rehabbed a house and I knew those shingles had asbestos in them...because they are made from asbestos...without even needing a test.
There are LOTS of houses built 100+ yrs. ago that don't have asbestos siding! But I'll bet the lead plumbing and interior lead paint was still there, though, which probably most unrenovated houses pre-WWll have.
So gorgeous, you just made my dream home
Loved! ❤️
The pantry is great.
GORGEOUS!
This kind of work is so much fun to me.....
awesome!!!! I adore it :)
😩😩😩 I'm going to own a cute little bungalow one day... I'm claiming it!!!
I need you ladies in my new tiny bungalow!
Wow that's just amazing
you basically did a total gut job plus and add on. and completed with high end finishes. now way that's possible for 60k
It's an unusual looking bungalow, with the front balcony. Doesn't feel like a typical bungalow.
wonderful, Excellent
wow i am speechless! unbelievable for the price you spent for renovation? i can't imagine how you did all that.....
you look cute, gorgeous, beautiful, astonish, with this profile picture of yours
Oh my gosh! This was a delightful reno and there is so much criticism in the comments!! Geez. Go watch 5 episodes of love it or list it, and you'll be begging for these two to work off of a budget like this again.
Love It or List It is a nightmare of a show. Especially when the homeowner decides to reno their own home. I have no idea how they even make sense of working with those teensy tiny budgets. I saw one show where they only had enough money to reno the kitchen and the rest of the house looked like trash!
I really like it.
You're not bringing it back to original charm if you're tearing down porches, tearing down breakfast nooks. Good thing you recognize the value in the claw tub.
I agree...taking out that sunporch was a sad moment. At the very least, put more windows in the add on. And I hated to see that little arched room in the original kitchen dismissed. I would have made it a pantry. Ah well.. it's their show, not ours 😁
Love it! Score!
BEAUTIFUL
Wonderful I love ❤️ it 👍
I hope they didn't toss the original kitchen sink. Those old sinks are so in demand by people doing period restorations.
Leigh Perry that's what I thought too! I was kind of disappointed to see that it was gone. It looked like it may have had some rust towards the bottom (the attached cabinets) but I bet that could be sanded off & painted over?
I agree; I love big old sinks with a drying area, and rehabbers do love them.
Nice video, awesome renovation. You both are a delight.😁 Have you got anymore videos?? Peace and Love✌💗 from sunny Greece🌅.
How could they do an addition AND the rest of the work for ONLY $60k? I find this to be unrealistic.
Easy, it's just wood, you can build an entire house for the same. You're on DIY CZcams and should know better.
They must have gotten a lot of free labor and free products to come in at 60K.
That is less than $175 per square foot for the 350 sq ft addition and a kitchen, bath and add 1/2 bath. Totally unrealistic. I would need to see the cost breakdown.
I haven't painted in 2/years. I miss it so much.
did you mean 50k for materials and 75k for labor costs? that makes more sense but eluding to 50k for reno is misleading. Ridiculous!
Few of these shows onTV accurately depict the real cost to flip a house. I won’t buy a house unless they can prove Reno’s were done by professionals.
you look cute, gorgeous, beautiful, astonish, with this profile picture of yours
Icicles means the house is losing heat through the roof!
