their names are actually pretty interesting! it’s actually a description of the animal,
eg. the orange one: “ur home pet cat” ,
the cow print: “a cow that listen to bach music” ( which is so funny cus there’s a Chinese idiom called “playing piano in front of a cow” means that u r doing /talking to a person that r not supposed to be the target 😂) ,
the blue hair one: “a buddhism werewolf” ( it’s a slang means you are a person who are not persistent and more of see things as fate ) ,
the blue dress one: “a sheep on the mountain”,
the full black one: “a homebody holland lop” ( im not sure homebody is the right word it’s a Chinese slang means you like to be at home and don’t go outside, which is very fitting for a rabbit lol),
the last one is “a bear that poking a honeycomb”
and also the special one is “wonderlands fish
hope that helps!
This is so interesting ! I like that they used idioms to name some of them ! It's a nice touch !
Thank you❣️ The yellow/ red /orange obe with the red bow and bib was giving me rooster vibes!
Brooke, you've literally opened a new hole for me to get sucked down into! these are so stinking cute! great for shelves and desks 🥹
Also the dolls legs are popping up because the elastic is likely strung too tightly. With bjds it’s called “kicky.” Overtime the elastic should loosen but you can also always restring the doll.
Or give her legs a few quick firm tugs 😬
Oh no what have you done to me Brooke, now I wanna collect them. I googled it and I have to refrain myself from buying the fairyland elves and the sea elves… have you seen the sea elves! I’m dying argh 💀
At this point i’m going to have to start a doll fund 😱
Kikagoods has so many cute things omg! Jane's Dolland also sells Penny's Box dolls if you're looking for more!
These are so precious! I just wish they weren't blind boxed because I don't want the hassle of trying to get my favorites and I'm not in a place where I'd spend the money on a completed box set. I love heavy blushing too so I really like the ram and I also love the hair style of the bear doll. The others are cute too but those would be the ones I'd really want to get. The only one I'm not a fan of is the cat one simply because I personally don't enjoy winking dolls. Thanks for sharing these!
Wow these are really cool. Kika goods was kind enough to send me 3 blind boxes like 1-2 years ago. My biggest weakness is popmart blind boxes especially skull panda and anything they miniature ❤️❤️❤️
My favorite from this series is the cow one, bc I love cows. The wolf looks cool too. I want the cow one most.
I love that they all have little socks. So cuteee💕
Dear, thank you for sharing💓💓
Love them!! I have them all too. Thanks for the stand link. I haven't had the issue with the shoes many have had. Maybe it's like you said, make sure the socks are on well and then the shoes are seated in place. I would love to see the centaurs! My favorite changes day to day, because I love them all. But I am a bear maker so if forced to choose...it would be the bear
These are very cool 😎 I was thinking about getting the school magick set dolls. The centaur penny dolls are super cool
The sheep one is so good 🐑 🐏 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
The centaurs would be so cool to see!
i don't think i seen them all at once on a video before watching your review! these are adorable and so... shiny and smooth lol. my fav is the blue sheep! but they're all pretty similar so it was a little hard to choose, though the similar designs help if you just get one blind boxed doll. the centaur ones are crazy cool tho, they have two hidden characters!
I have the little wolf (the purple and black dress and blue pigtails). They look perfect with re-ment scale things.
The foster cat is my favorite 🤩
If I remember correctly, I think the "Antu" Penny's Box dolls (this series and also the centaurs) are done as like, a collaboration (?) with the resin BJD company Dollzone! Based off their doll Antu, which is a pouty unicorn pegasus centaur, which is where these dolls get their pouty face and random unicorn horn from LOL
Penny's Box dolls are SO nice, I don't have any of this series but I have one of their afterschool ghost story-ish themed animal series (a green deer girl with glasses! she's very cute) and I am SO hyped for the centaur series like I'm SO tempted by the full box hfjdsklajfds
I think each series so far has different bodies? The school one seems a little taller than the 2-legged Antus, my school series deer girl seems to keep her shoes on a little better BUT she does have the same problem of her legs always wanting to flop around and give out too LOL I think it's just the nature of having such a large, heavy head and such skinny little strung limbs. With resin elastic-strung dolls that have had similar problems, I've sometimes done a tiny bit of "sueding": unstringing the doll, putting something to add more friction between the joints (classically a small piece of suede-like fabric glued on, sometimes a small silicone washer also works, I tend to just use a thin layer of hot glue instead though because it's easier to undo and redo if I make a mistake LOL) so I think I wanna see if can hot glue suede the hips and maybe the other leg joints? I'm not sure how it'll act with the different material though, since these are ABS if I remember correctly, I've used hot glue on a different ABS/PVC elastic strung doll before (a small 1/6 scale UFdoll) and it was fine and there was no damage but it was trickier to take off the hotglue afterwards so I'm still a little scared LOL also I've been too lazy to unstring my girl............ but maybe today I'll try!! Now I'm motivated!!!!
UPDATE: I was too lazy to bust out the hot glue and try not to burn all my fingers BUT I have some silicone washers that are about 1cm in diameter and I put a couple of those in the hip joints between the torso and the top thigh pieces and it improved a lot!! She can actually stand on her own now without her legs Totally buckling under the weight of her head! She's still a little precarious, so maybe someday in the future I'll see if I can put like, the thinnest layer of hot glue on earth on her knee joints and maybe ankles, but even just adding something on the hip joint for friction can help a lot!! I will say, restringing her is kinda tough because she's so small, I used pliers especially with putting the s-hooks from the feet and hands on. FOR SOME foolish reason I unstrung her arms even tho I didn't need to do that because they pose fine and restringing THAT was a nightmare, the legs are... not AS intense tho, they're a little easier. But yeah, if anyone wants to try sueding ur penny's box doll's hip joints (and maybe other leg joints), I highly recommend 1) only unstring the legs, don't touch the arms if you don't need to, and 2) long nose and needle nose pliers are ur best friends LOL but yeah!! Now that my girl can stand a little easier, now I'm even more tempted by the other dolls OUGH........ those centaurs man... those centaurs
I really adore the ram girl, and the bunny's SO cute, but looking at the cat girl in ur video, even though she's kind of an unusual design, I think she's really been growing on me. I didn't think much of her when I first saw these dolls last year, but her big blocky over-hair eyebrows are so silly and I kind of love it LOL
Thanks for showing off how they do with your mini doll stands!! Finding stands for these guys has been such a struggle so I'm glad to know they can work with that style!!
Very cool that Kika Goods sent you a full set. I missed out on their centaur pre-order, so I ended up ordering one from Aliexpress and I'm still waiting on it. Some online shops and sellers will let you pick the one you want, but they charge more. I found these at a local store and got the winking cat, but my favorites are the sheep and bear.
Okay I NEED these 😭😭😩😩💗💗💗💗.
I checked under the listing on the website that you linked, and all the descriptions are there.
The Big Horned sheep and the Litle Bear are the favorites., I think.
I would love to see reviews of the other sets. They are all so cute. Strangely enough I told my wife yesterday that we needed some of these. Then I woke up to your video. Perfect timing and thank you!
Oh my gosh I’m so happy you’re reviewing these I’ve been eyeing them up for ages and they look so adorable!!!!
These are awesome!!! I would love to see a video of nendoroid dolls if you have any.
These are so cute!! They remind me of the Flintstone characters, especially Bam Bam and Pebbles!!
I got my centaurs and LOVE themmmmm
Just as a heads up these are made by the bjd company dollzone so for once these are legit true bjd! Most of the dolls sold on AliExpress are crappy counterfeits and frakendollys made from stolen parts but these are actual original bjd.
My hope is that if these are really popular more companies will think the upfront cost of making these will pay off. I love seeing affordable and bjd getting popular and playline reviews looking at them!
Oh wow, I've always seen these while looking at obitsu 11 clothing on aliexpress. Cool to see you review them!
Nevermind, was thinking of the Adou street series, close enough lol
They are super cute!!!
My favorite is the dark colored blue girl.
I'd like to grab a few of these!!!
Thanks for the review!
Ive been so intrigued by these for so long but now I can't nOt get them
They're super cute!!! I have ordered one from a different series, which is based of fruit/fruit theme. Seeing how well these turned out I'm very excited to get mine ^_^
This is awesome. I have been searching for interesting blind boxes to collect and open on my channel and I love these. On the Kikagoods site they have the little food hamsters I have been eyeing on Amazon, except this site will give free shipping to Canada (I think maybe with a certain amount spent though, but still!). This made my day, thank you for sharing Brooke! Love these, so adorable.
Really cute dolls and my favorites are the bear and the pink one. I might be interested in some if I can buy them separately. I’ll have to check out the website. Thank you for the review sweetie. I’ve never heard of them before and am excited to see what else they have 💗
These guys are so cute! I want them all!
Jane’s Dolland is a U.S. distributor who host preorders of the PennyBox dolls on her website! Idk if she still have the centaur dolls still up for preorder but it could be worth a look! :)
I just ordered a set of six!
Strange cat toys actually has the centaur ones in stock! Mine came in earlier this week and they’re so pretty and already come with the extra hands!
Oh they are just adorable! Wow...might have to jump on these, although my bjds aren't fantasy characters, so they'd have to display by themselves. And isn't it interesting that they can do that bjd quality at such a good price?
These are interesting! The website actually tells you what each doll is supposed to be. I dunno if that’s a recent update but if you scroll through the pictures on the site it lists them. It says the secret doll is a fish but it doesn’t specify what kind. Not sure which is my favorite. The facial expressions are a bit offputting so that’s throwing me off. Definitely love the wolf and cat’s designs the most if I ignore their expressions though.
Aaaa those are so cute
Can you make top 10 winx dolls
omg its so cool to see you interested in bjds!!
I have 3 of this line! 2 family cats and a sheep on the hill! I don't mind the duplicate because I can just customize her into a whole new, unique character! The centaur BJDs are so cute too!
Edit: Family Cat is the orange one with a bow, and the Sheep on the Hill is the white-haired ram girl.
Love kikagoods 💕 I think the blue one is a Wolf? I love these dolls I love designer toys too so excited to see you get them! I love how broad your collection is amazing 🤩
They're so adorable ! Too bad they don't ship to France though. Maybe I'll get one shipped to my friends in the US, to pick it up when I visit them at the end of the year...
omg im starting 2 save up 4 them straight away im from australia so with the currency exchange its $162 4 the 6 pack (thats also with ur code tho) but i can't wait 2 have them they r so sweet.
Maybe the orange one is a red panda, like Mei from Turning Red? :)
I was just looking at these but I didn't know where to get them!
I have four of these. I love all of them! But I think the wolf is my favorite. I would love to see you review the other series. Have you seen the little boy ones, I think they come with skateboard?
side note 📝 they fit lol surprise tweens clothes 🖤🤗
I bought some art figures last year after falling in love with them when I saw them on tiktok (I believe they’re called Emma?) They’re about the same price as these. Sadly I haven’t been able to find a good place to display them since I got them 😢
so cute they remind me of popmart bjd's
Hey everyone ! Does anyone know how tall are these little dolls ? I assume around 5" ? I fell in love with them and I’d like to get one as a "comfort doll" to carry around but I was worried about their height 🥲 I’ve been looking around the internet to find this information but it wasn’t written anywhere haha
(And thank you Brooke for that discovery, I’m not typically into Asian dolls, but these ones are sooooo cute !!)
WOAH!! WTH? $20 BJD IN A DANG BLIND BOX?!!!!!!
AND THEY'RE FLOCKED?!
Sorry if you already found it out, I'm mid way through the video.
But for any that doesn't know the black one is a rabbit, the orange one is a cat, the brown one is a bear and the blue one is a bat
Does the material of these seem like it will scuff easily? Or end up with some type of marks on them?
so if you've ever had a nendoroid, it's similar. I think they would take paint smears pretty easily but scratches would be difficult.
Hi Dolls 👋 I love figs!
-desperate grabby hands- oh, these are bigger than i thought they were...
