So I saw a small theory on RWBY Amino the other day regarding Blake's father. We now know his name is Ghira, which might be referencing Bagheera from Jungle Book. We also know the new leader of the White Fang is named Sienna Khan, whose name might be referencing Shere Khan from the same movie. This brings up the possibility of seeing conflict between the current leader and the former leader. What do you think?
I wouldn't be surprised if that happened at all! It would certainly be exciting to see

my thoughts are, based on Blake and Adam in the intro, the fact that Ghira was in the dark about the Fang's dealings and that the desert is deemed "uninhabitable", that this is where the Fang operates to be away from prying eyes
they likely have cells all over the place, but that could be a plausible theory as for where some of the higher ranking members if not the head honcho deals out orders from
when we see Adam in the intro, he is attacking Blake in a desert, after all

Top notch video Arryn! So glad we got to see some Menagerie this episode, it looks amazing! I was like "O damn" when Mama Belladonna said that Pops was meeting with the White Fang. Shenanigans are gonna go down next episode for sure.
As for the 2,000 sub special, livestreaming stuff could be pretty neat. Could be gaming stuff or something like that. A cover would be pretty cool. Mirror Mirror would be a nice song. I feel like "Dream Come True" could be a fun, upbeat song to sing. Alternatively, "Cold" could be a really deep and emotional one.
And lastly, thoughts on Adam Taurus real quick: fuck him. "Yeah, let's show the world that the faunus are to be a respected race with similar rights as everybody else by attacking places like Beacon and killing innocents. We're the GOOD GUYS!"

BTW, the reason Gira stepped down from Command of the White Fang, is to take over being Chieftain (Primary leader) of Menagerie and the Fauness.
Did you notice how the White Fang were dressed? They were dressed much better than anybody else on the island, included Poppa Belladonna who kind of runs the place. They have serious money and influence. I wonder where they get their money from?
That said, there were some positive parts to this episode. The Fennecs are pretty awesome (though I don't get their weirdly priestly garb and bearing), and there still is some ambiguity as to whether the High Command is on board with Adam, or they simply are spies for him IN the High Command.

Those Fox Faunus were/are making me want to punch something, especially with there condensing tones towards Sun, and there is no way Adam and the Vale section of the white fang were rouge, Blake was only concerned with the amount of dust stolen not anything else they did. Also do what ever you are comfortable with no pressure.

Great reaction as always, I don't think Adam is 2nd in command, I think he's upper echelon but not that high something more akin to a rook then a queen. I'm going off of the fact that the fire nation Faunus referred to him as "brother" instead of "master". Brother generally implies some sort of equal standing, he may be a star child for The White Fang but I think he's being used as a weapon but he's too emotional I don't think he carries the thought to lead.
As for 2000 subs; sing Cold with a straight face, just kidding I can barely listen to it still. I think it would be cool to do some lore/theory videos you know more than most and your thoughts are interesting.

You were right. I think that is why Blake was so standoffish at first, even though her parents seem awesome. She was not sure how she would be received because she continued with the Fang after her father had stepped down as leader. I am certain it was a major point of contention. Also, I figured he was royalty after seeing the intro. Color means a lot in Ruby and he is literally wearing a purple, fur-lined king's cloak. Love it.
And Ghira stepped down from the White Fang Leadership 5 years ago...making Blake 12 or 13 years old when she left her parents! Blake is very apprehensive about this reunion with her folks! So now we also know why Blake specifically called Weiss heiress...Blake is literally a princess in self imposed exile!

It also has parallels to penal colonial Australia, and the African nation of Liberia, which was formed and settled by freed African- American slaves after the U S Civil War. The Faunus are THE oppressed peoples of Remnant! Yes, this is a late comment, but it shows how brilliantly detailed Monty's world was, and how much the current writers and directors are keeping the dream we love alive. Imo, RWBY ranks with the best science fiction and fantasy epics ever made!

This episode was awesome. But it did raise a few questions, and you brought up some interesting ones too.
How high is the White Fang influence in Menagerie? Blake's plan may fall short if it's too high.
You mentioned the fact that the WF changed when Papa Belladonna (I refuse to call him anything else) stepped down. I imagine that there was a moment of tension where the members were divided. Those like Adam who believed in the more "extreme" approach of Khan, and those like Blake that still believed in the cause. If so, how many ex-WF members are scattered across Renmant?
And I think Weiss may have an even bigger target on her back; remember that Ironwood fears a war, hence why the SDC can't export and are performing the concert? Yeah. With Weiss being the #1 heir to the company, a student of Beacon and an huntress that fought during the Fall of Beacon, I think she's also a political target at this point.

This was another great episode and another great reaction too. I do think covers of RWBY songs would be awesome for a suggestion of what song to choose for the first since a sad one might not be the best I suggest Dream Come True, because it is a beautiful song and is very upbeat. I would love o hear you do a cover of Cold, though, when you do any of the sadder song covers because that is one of my favorite songs of the series so far really.

Menagerie is literally Remnant's Australia. Corner of the world, two thirds desert, people were given an island and told to make do, wildlife is far more dangerous.

Regarding what episode has things "hit the fan" and the reason it isn't the same for Volume 1 - Volume 1 is 16 Episodes, while both Volumes 2 & 3 are 12 Episodes. Since the big pivot point is Episode 6 in the 12-episode volumes, that would translate to Episode 8 of a 16-episode Volume in terms of placement location. We all know what Volume 1 Episode 8 is... Players & Pieces - the formation of teams and the big fight with the Nevermore and Deathstalker.

Menagerie is located in the same place as Australia on the map and is filled with people who are seen as bad by much of the world. It is 2/3rds harsh desert with dangerous wildlife and is often cramped
In short: I live in Menagerie in the RWBY universe, particularly the south-west of it

I like that it's been confirmed, (if indirectly), what type of cat Blake and her family are. Sierra Khan and Gheera, Shere Khan the tiger and Bagheera the panther. Honestly, I'm happy with the choice of species for her.
Panthers aren't typically the strongest creatures in their ecosystems, but they are still formidable fighters at need. They prefer to hunt using cunning and stealth over brute force and speed, and they are incredibly agile. Not to mention their tendency to strike from the shadows. There couldn't be a better fit for Blake.
Most likely Blake's Grandfather was the Chieftain of Menagerie, while a young Ghira rose to leadership of the pro-faunus rights movement, the White Fang. Then Blake's Grandfather likely passed away, forcing Ghira to give up his position as High leader to take up his father's position of Chieftain. Then Sienna Khan becomes High Leader, making the White Fang more aggressive.
P.S, Sienna Khan is believed to be female.
P.P.S, The Greater White Fang doesn't seem to wear Grimm Masks. Apparently only Adam Taurus' faction wears them. That would imply that Adam's faction is indeed extremist, even by Sienna Khan's aggressive standards.
I think that Sienna may be genuine about not approving of Adam's methods, but some of the other Fang members, like those fox brothers, are secretly supporting him.
I'm foreseeing some possible conflict in the future, within the Fang, between Sienna loyalists and Adam supporters. Maybe some kind of White Fang Civil War?
If you decide to do a cover, then... well, crap, Mirror Mirror was going to be my first choice, but if you're saving that, then... Sacrifice!

I understand where Blake is coming from, but all of Remnant seems pretty dangerous. It was probably pretty difficult to give them an entire continent/ island that isn't dangerous or crawling with Grimm. I mean the entire kingdom of Vale is hiding behind a mountain range. Also, I think Mynagerie is supposed to represent Australia, cause that's where the Brits put all of their prisoners and it's got a lot of dangerous wildlife and 2/3 of its desert.
I think the only thing I've been right about is that the Evil-As-Balls Fire-nation lookin' guys would appear in this episode.

My largest issue with the Faunus is that they SAY a lot, but they don't show much. Faunus are supposed to be discriminated against, and where has that been shown? Cardin bullied Velvet once and...? I mean I suppose Weiss a little but I didn't think of that as racism so much as just being conditioned against a legitimate threat. This island is supposed to be horrible but we don't see this settlement have any big defenses or anything that makes me think that it's truly bad out there. From everything we've seen so far I'd be on Sun's side, there are some bad things, but everything seems manageable if your willing to work for them. That sounds bad, but we haven't seen anything to contradict that.

The problem is we've only been in Vale; which ,according to V1-3 and the WoR, was one of the ones fighting for Faunus Rights/least racist of the kingdoms. Since Mistral teamed up with Atlas, it's fair to assume they're at least somewhat more racist than Vale and Atlas is.....Atlas; given these are where we going to be (possibly for two volumes) , it's fair to assume we'll see more of this discrimination...
We haven't even seen Atlas, yet alone the schnee factories, known worldwide for controversial labour forces.
Jordan Beeney This is true, we've only really seen Vale, but we've also seen people from all over, and in this season we saw the Blacksmith who was around Mistral and he seemed fine. I mean you are completely right once we dive more into High-Mistral and Atlas things may become more clear, but as of now we have seen people from all over (Pyrrha was from Mistral, Weiss, and FNKI were from Atlas, SSSN is from Vacuo) and no one has shown any signs of racism so for this moment it doesn't work as much as it could. Maybe if they had a few more Weiss-centered episodes first and showed some of the Schnee's "questionable labor practices" it would hit harder, but for right now Blake and the WF just seems like a bunch of complainers more then anything else.
