Technically, they don't own the waterway. So, as long as you are on the bank, you were there legally.
Depends on the waterway, if it's a channel that leads to public waters you must allow egress. Most are in Florida. So yea, she was harassing them which is ironically unlawful.
I'm pretty sure you are incorrect and it's much more complicated than that. Land below a waterway, that was under water in 1845, when Florida became a state remains public property, but that does not make the bank public property. Even so, where they were fishing appears to be a man-main drainage canal, that very likely did not exist in 1845, and would therefor not be public property unless the surrounding land was owned by the state.

If they're on public property then leave them alone, and if you own the property call the police to have them escorted off the premises. If there's no No Trespassing signs then tough sh*t. Lol. Leave other people alone.
@@dongreenlee4803 I'm pretty sure a waterway is a waterway and all waterways are public Access. Nobody owns a waterway. Ponds are different. But navigable waterways are supposed to be public access. Now the question becomes, did they have to go through private property to get to the public waterway. If they would have floated on a tube down the canal and got there that way and even got out of the tube to walk below the high water mark, that lady would have absolutely zero grounds to kick them off the property.
@@mustangmckraken1150 if you can get in a boat on public water and travel up the canal it is perfectly legal to stand on the bank. Just the fact that you mentioned trespassing signs tells me you have no idea what you are talking about. Trespassing signs are about as legally relevant as a lost dog sign. Anyone can put one up and they mean nothing.

I strongly suspect the private properties all end at the tree line on either side. In my mind it can’t be a coincidence that is where the the fences were and the landscaping and other yard features all end. She also declared the fish needed to be released when we are certain it’s illegal to release an invasive snakehead into Florida waters, and most, if not all, other states so we know she’s capable of making false claims if they suit her purpose. Of course if you didn’t check the property lines in advance you need to leave because if she happened to be correct you’d be trespassing.
It does frustrate me though the number of people who try to claim dominion over property, hunting rights, waterways and fishing rights they don’t have.

I get it. However, I don't think she (Property Manager) was a "Karen". She was just communicating the rules of the property. In return, Kelly and Gabe (and friends) were respectful enough and left, as requested.

I just looked it up and in Florida you can open carry a bow or rifle as long as you have hunting or fishing equipment, so whoever this idiot was was just incorrect, the bows weren't breaking the law.

we started bow fishing 45 years ago on backwashes of the Missouri river in Montana all the way through Dakota, Iowa and Nebraska using recurves and open spools . trick was to learn refraction and shoot a little under . angle of hold depends on angle of sight if that makes sense
I started on a recurve also. I still sight down the arrow with my compound and hit just as well as my friends with sights.

Bowfished buffalo and Carp in Arkansas river for 5 years once I learned to aim low I started hitting them.. loved it blue gab does a good job filming you.
Awesome video! When we are bowfishing we always go with the rule, If you think you are aiming too low, aim lower.
Yep, I have bow fished for carp since the recurve days, You really have to allow for that rise of the arrow after it hits the water. It will want to come up quickly.

What I found strange is your bow fishing setup has sights on it? We never use sights for bow fishing as it throws you off and it's much harder to keep an eye on the fish. Even our Bow fishing charter that we take they don't use sights on their rigs as well. I only use sights on land hunting game. Great job getting them snakeheads. I agee with Bluegabe they are the best tasting fish, Delicious.

I’ve bow fished since I was a boy , being a Iowa son we didn’t have any type of spring thru summer hunting so bow fishing was it … carp buffalo carp gar was about all we could shoot this was before the silver carp and the big head carp invasion… but it’s fun ! Can’t believe you two haven’t done it much I’ve been out in Florida shooting rays from front of boats .

That was so cool! I have always wanted to bow fish. It looks difficult to me, but I would like to try. Also, I have no time for Karens. I don't acknowledge them any more than I have to. They state/scream their issue with me, then I usually just turn off giving my attention to them and go away. Its happened too many times. Getting yelled at for wearing a mask,(Really!) or because I haven't hung my handicap card on my mirror quick enough, driving slowly in my neighborhood or the park, all things I have done wrong according to Karens. I often wonder who put them in charge of my actions? Self appointed I guess. Keep up the great work on videos!

Absolutely love when you guys upload on my days off! I've wanted to learn how to bowfish for a few years now, especially with all the invasives around Sarasota...a few lakes are slammed full of Mayans, plus tilapia so big and fat they can't even swim lol. Can't wait to watch!

When we were kids, we used to bow fish for carp. When the river by us flooded in the spring, carp would get trapped in shallow pools when the water went down. We were not shooting in deep water like on this video. The fish were only partially submerged. We chopped the catch up and use the pieces for fertilizer under cucumber mounds.

Ever had Yellow Pike "Walleye " ? It's my favorite fresh water fish. Very mild fish flavor. Stronger fish tasting fish like bass I cook with parmasian style dish. The acid in the tomato sauce wipes out gameyness. Usually I bread it , deep fry it, place on a bed of spaghetti noodles, slice of parmesian cheese and spread spaghetti sauce on top to melt the cheese! So good!

Sorry but I might have questioned the legality of a waterway especially if it was a public access road a GIS survey on your phone etc would or should have told a public easement/right of way an bows aren't always considered weapons especially when used while fishing. We do have rights but you chose to leave maybe better than cause her or them a stroke or heart attack at lest you told them illegal to put them back they are invasive!

OMG I went with a friend of mine down in Apopka and did some bow hunting for snakeheads and alligator gar as well. I had a freaking blast and stayed jumping the whole day. Didn’t hit any monsters like you guys did but one of the best memories for me for sure. You guys stay safe!

I live in Maryland and we have the northern snakehead up here. Theyve become my new game fish the past few years. I'm obsessed. I eventually want to travel down south to Florida and try getting on a bullseye snakehead. Im curious to see if there are any differences besides what they look like. Great video!

On a side note, we fishermen here in MD do our best to irradicate snakeheads since they kill almost anything from baby striped bass eggs to blue crabs. Well done Kelly!
