Work load definitely is relative, i would say STEM courses, and perhaps English courses tend to have higher workloads. I am doing Theoretical Physics and the work load in semester 2 was pretty intense. However, this could also be because of the style of learning due to Covid-19.

Hi I’m starting Uni of Leeds in September to study adult nursing. Does anyone know what to expect as there isn’t really a lot of videos like Lydias from students doing adult nursing. Also, I know this video is sponsored by ASUS but I’m thinking of getting a MacBook- is it worth it? Doing adult nursing will I use it as much? Any advice would be appreciated😃 X
A macbook is very good on the creative side of things. So if you are interested in graphics, photography, engineering as well as your course then its a good bet. I do a more computer based course (Geography) and I'll be better off having a windows computer but I have a mac for my photography interest. Hope it helps. xxx
Unless you do a creative course, you really do not need a Mac. I have a HP and its been fine
It is ALOT of work, your course tends to be longer than the rest and very intense even though your in first year
Having worked with student nurses, it's full on, both with academic work and placement, but make sure you throw yourself into the placement, it's your best opportunity to see everything and learn the environment you may want to work once you qualify plus its good for networking to help get that job once you finish 😀 also nights are killer, bring plenty of coffee and treat all staff with respect.
my flatmate does nursing and it is very full workload, hard to do assignments and keep on top of the workload with placements including night shifts, she does placements in loads of different areas so it is very interesting and she is always learning, its a very hard but rewarding course
Hi Lydia my names Dan, I'm actually gonna be starting uni this year at Leeds doing nursing. I am a older student at 28y, is there groups of people, or mixers/activities for people in my age range to make friends.

I’m not entirely sure as obviously this is not something I’ve ever looked into personally, but I know there definitely are maturer students at Leeds too!
I'm also going to Leeds this September and am a mature student at 26, when I've asked the university they said they try get mature students to mix together so we are not left out by all the young whipper spappers 😀

What are you going to do with that laptop? You use a Mac and clearly have for a very long time? Was it inauthentic to take on this sponsorship?
I think laptop ads like this aren’t genuine because you wouldn’t choose to use this laptop over the MacBook - saying it’s the ideal student laptop isnt true for Lydia. I think this wouldn’t be fine if it was explained correctly that this is a great affordable alternative that has good features - rather than suggesting that it’s a product that Lydia would choose to use which it clearly isn’t it.
Yes I understand where you’re coming from and I probably could have worded the ad better in hindsight. I’m in no way trying to pitch this against a MacBook. I took on this brand deal as I do believe it is a genuinely good laptop option for students, and will be used by one hereafter x
