- In this test report we introduce you to the Carinthia G180 and share with you the experiences we had with the top all-round sleeping bag.
We'll go into the technical data of the different sizes and the version specifically for women, which is called the Carinthia G180 Lady.
Thanks to its Comfort Limit temperature of -4°C (24,8°F), the sleeping bag has its strengths especially at temperatures around 0°C (32°F). It is very light in weight and has the high quality that you have come to expect from Carinthia.
The very light sleeping bag can also be coupled together, making it a very good solution for couples like us. In fact, it's the best connectable sleeping bag we've tested so far.
As you are used to from us, we will also go into the advantages and disadvantages of the G180 in this experience report.
If you are looking for a (connectable) lightweight all-round sleeping bag that you can use for temperatures around and above freezing point and value quality, then this video will be worth it for you ;-)

Ich hab auch den G180, und hab ihn das erste mal bei -1 grad mit kaputter isomatte getestet. Sobald ich die isomatte wieder aufgepustet habe, war die Temperatur absolut perfekt. Sobald die Luft wieder raus war, ist es natürlich deutlich kälter geworden, aber selbst da hat er absolut abgeliefert :) für mich ein deutlich unterschätzter Schlafsack, vor allem wegen Größe und Gewicht :)

Mittlerweile durften wir auch noch eine kältere Nacht darin verbringen und waren wieder begeistert. Wenn ich es mit unserem alten Salewa Spice -2 vergleiche, da war es immer so, wenn man vom „Comfort“ Bereich in Richtung „Comfort Limit“ kam, dann konnte man es zwar aushalten, aber komfortabel war es nicht. Beim G180 und -2°C, also näher am „Comfort Limit“ als an der „Comfort“ Temperatur, war es immer noch wirklich komfortabel.
Richtige bzw. funktionsfähige Isomatte natürlich vorausgesetzt 😅
Also wirklich eine top Performance und wie du schon sagst, gerade wenn man Gewicht und Packmaß mit berücksichtigt.

Gutes Video. Ich suche einen 3 Jahreszeiten (Frühling, Sommer, Herbst -> ca. 5-25 Grad) Schlafsack, für den Winter habe ich einen g490x. Ich schwanke zwischen dem g180 und dem g145. Welchen würdest du hier empfehlen?

Das kommt drauf an, was dir wichtiger ist. Temperaturbereich oder Gewicht und Packmaß?
Wir haben uns für den G180 entschieden, weil wir oft in Skandinavien unterwegs sind und dort nicht selten mit Temperaturen um 0°C zu rechnen ist. Und auch hier in Deutschland kommt er zum Einsatz, wenn es für unseren Winterschlafsack zu warm ist, also auch um 0°C.
Wenn du es in Bezug auf die Temperatur auch in diesen Bereichen komfortabler haben willst, dann würde ich den G180 nehmen.
Wenn er wirklich erst ab 5°C zum Einsatz kommt und du deinen G490x auch noch bei um die 0°C nutzt, du sehr kälteunempfindlich bist oder dir Gewicht und Packmaß am wichtigsten sind, dann den G145.
Im G180 wird es im Sommer auf jeden Fall sehr warm sein. Mit dem wird man sich dann nur noch ein bisschen zudecken.
Wir nutzen hier einen Schlafsack mit einem Komfort Limit von +9°C und selbst in dem wird es ab 20°C sehr warm.

@@Outdoor_Impression habe den G490x bisher bei -5 genutzt da konnte man mit kurzen Sachen gut liegen. Ab 3 Grad nurnoch mit offenem Reißverschluss und bei 8 Grad nurnoch als zudecke.
@@johe9858 Das kann ich mir vorstellen. Unsere Winterschlafsäcke haben ein Komfort Limit von -18°C und bei 0°C bis -4°C habe ich den auch schon etwas aufmachen müssen. Bei um die 0°C war es im G180 sehr angenehm.
Könnte mir vorstellen, dass es im G145 dann schon frostig ist.
Meistens stimmen die Temperaturangaben sehr gut.
