He has an undisclosed medical issue that he's been dealing with for...it's been at least a couple months now, but it's Chan, so quite possibly longer. It's visibly caused him physical pain or inhibition during both performance and non-performance moments on camera.
Don't listen to anyone who claims to actually know what the issue is. It's his private medical info, and he has explicitly chosen to not tell us. There are multiple theories, ranging from pretty reasonable based on what we've seen (cracked ribs, connective tissue damage or inflammation in the left torso, etc) to people going completely off the rails and insisting they know for certain that he's suddenly developed advanced MS. But no one actually knows except Chan and the people he's chosen to make privy.
