I first heard Joni when I was a toddler at 7yrs old back home in the Philippines, I fell in love with her angelic voice and when I grow old I made request to the local station to play her music they did it many times. Now I am 71 yrs old still listening to her beautiful memorable songs . Right now I am hookup to her station. It's so awesome listening to her sing all my favorite songs.
Am 85, but still remember my peers and I each believed (fantasized likely a better term) that Joni sang 'personally to me and no one else.' She and her songs added immensely to the joy of living through those times.
It's the first week of May 2017 and I just talked with Joni; I'm her fan club president (since 1955!). She haS said many times she enjoyed recording in Nashville because the musicians were so creative. There were beautiful arrangements for all the songs, she said, but the musicians improvised a lot, too.
