I'm from Finland! If you visit Finland, I would recommend the capital city Helsinki in the south, especially in summertime. If you want to visit beautiful winter wonderlands in Lapland, you should visit far more north in some beautiful places like Levi, Muonio, Pallas, Saariselkä, Rovaniemi etc. In Lapland you can choose to be in the middle of nowhere in the villages or at the centrum of the ski centres. Rovaniemi is the "home of Santa Claus". December, january, february and march are nice months to visit Lapland. Have you ever been to Portugal? I would like to hear if you have some experience on winery visits or wine brands in Portugal.

Backpacking through any mountain range (Rockies, blue ridge, Appalachian, Teton, etc) and exploring as many national parks as possible is the number 1 thing you can do. In France, I recommend traveling and staying in small towns. Gives you a great feel for the local regions and the people are kind. Just choose a region or department and plan out from there. The wine will be great everywhere.
We visited Maldives from the US…..22 hours flight time. The sea plane is an absolute must, the most majestic flight I’ve ever taken! There are some 175 resorts to choose from throughout the island nation, and most of them have overwater bungalows, another must do. Keep us posted when you go!
