I'm Always Right - Though, the fact remains that she's had more number ones than not, 18 of them in fact. Her albums alone have gone gold and platinum just from album sales. She's recently had success with her new song being number 1 on Itunes in different countries. I doubt the fact she's bothered that only a couple of songs during her career haven't reached #2 in the charts. She's grateful for the success she's had with the songs and albums that have made it. Being on the charts isnt the important thing, what is important is sharing music with the world and making people happy through it. She cares more about that than anything else.

I'm Always Right She cares more about the fans buying her music than being featured on a chart. She's already been featured on many charts successfully, she's moved on from her set backs, like glitter and lover boy. I'm pretty sure she's focusing on the positive side to her career and her future. That is what is the most important. What happened with glitter and lover boy is irreverent as it's in the past.
When she first came out, her goal was to achieve success with her music, and in a clip from her video 'first vision' she expresses how she feels about doubting on the charts, that she gets excited for appearing even at number 53, on there. That statement alone tells me that it never has mattered to her how high she gets in the charts, she's grateful of the fact she even gets entered or acknowledged at all and I think she still has that mentality now.

I really laugh at the fact that people really think mariah's diva persona is a real thing. She's said repeatedly that its made up for fun. Its not actually her and there is a real person underneath all the glitz and glamour. How would she be so out of touch with the world? She grew up in an abusive, poor family and endured racism and struggled all her life until she made it to what she is today.

I don't believe it. Some of the fan clips I have seen didn't depict great vocals. Her vocals are very rough and raspy. I know fans love to capture their clips with "OMG Queen of vocals" but an objective viewer would disagree. She can still sing, but she struggles with the higher notes
I just wanted you to acknowledge she can still sing. I'm aware she struggles to hit higher notes, and has lost a lot of her agility, which is normal, her voice having aged (+ the nodules), so I am not a delusional lamb haha! But I will say she still has good vocal days and she can still sound great, regardless of the raspiness. She performed a great version of Vision of Love in August last year if you want to check that out.
