😃👍
I love the music it’s epic🙏🇻🇦🎶🎶✝️!
Everytime I see this pictures to the music, I think: Respect for the people who built this churches, abbeys etc. hundreds of years ago:) Greetings from Germany
Respect for the people who built the original temple and places of worship that were later stripped and desecrated to build the Christ-god's churches.

@@fanaticbogey
Actually, none of the old Olympic temples were directly destroyed at church command. Those most suited for reapplication into churches were preserved, the rest were turned into homes for the poor after the western empire collapsed. They received no essential maintenance for remaining practical dwellings, however, and were gradually abandoned as they became too drafty from wind and rain, and ONLY then, around 900 or so A.D., did recycling their loosest and already falling stones for other dwellings become common. That so much STILL stands is a testament to how much respect for the old buildings remained and remains to this day. Even the fact from the late medieval findings that inspired the Renascence art revival that so many idols were deliberately buried mostly intact rather than simply ground into gravel shows their respect for the human art, if no longer the “god” it represented.
There simply was never a systematic leveling of everything, if there had been, there would have been nothing left within a 100 years of Constantine. It’s easier to destroy than to build. Of course, Fundamentalist Protestants will lament that Christian Rome/Byzantium DID NOT level it all and that we are scarcely different from you. A world of strange nuances we live in.
If I had been a Heathen,
I'd have praised the purple vine,
My slaves should dig the vineyards,
And I would drink the wine.
But Higgins is a Heathen,
And his slaves grow lean and grey,
That he may drink some tepid milk
Exactly twice a day.
If I had been a Heathen,
I'd have crowned Neaera's curls,
And filled my life with love affairs,
My house with dancing girls;
But Higgins is a Heathen,
And to lecture rooms is forced,
Where his aunts, who are not married,
Demand to be divorced.
If I had been a Heathen,
I'd have sent my armies forth,
And dragged behind my chariots
The Chieftains of the North.
But Higgins is a Heathen,
And he drives the dreary quill,
To lend the poor that funny cash
That makes them poorer still.
If I had been a Heathen,
I'd have piled my pyre on high,
And in a great red whirlwind
Gone roaring to the sky;
But Higgins is a Heathen,
And a richer man than I:
And they put him in an oven,
Just as if he were a pie.
Now who that runs can read it,
The riddle that I write,
Of why this poor old sinner,
Should sin without delight-
But I, I cannot read it
(Although I run and run),
Of them that do not have the faith,
And will not have the fun.

As a professor of Latin and Medieval History, I LOVE THIS! Thank you!

Can we be friends
Hello! I am studying Latin and I am very into Medieval Western History. Can I contact you privately?
Reminded me of “ The name of the rose” by Umberto Eco. Very atmospheric. 🥰
That was fabulous!!!
@@meowmeowmeowser6349 YESSSSSSS, Adso!
Exactly!!
An incredible book! I've read it twice. Very intellectual and brilliant. Eco was an amazing writer. I enjoyed the film as well.
Loved that movie
I wish i could listen to this 24/7 while cooking cheese.
I'm in a chapel 💒 💒 today and put this on so I can pray 🙏🎧🦇🦇 So many people take normal for granted my friends. Without things like this it would be impossible to slow my mind down enough for me to focus without medicine. I'm so grateful for creators like this. I can live a life free of pills
I see myself walking through monastery doors to accept something that has been laid upon me. Nothing glorious, short of the small glory to be had every time a man shows up for his duties.
love abbys beautful monk chants just love this
Cant wait!
I'm Moslem but idk why i really love this kind of music
Listening to this while actually working on a medieval manuscript art project, and it's definitely putting me in a calm, focused state of mind. Really respect the patience and skill it took to create those beautiful books by hand. Just writing out the text requires a steady hand and lots of practice to write each letter perfectly. But in a place like this, with the echoing chants and the fire crackling softly, I'd feel at peace and could definitely work until dark. Thanks for making this beautiful soundscape!
How did the project go?
Wherever you are on this planet, we can agree that it's been a trying time for us all. I wish you health, love, and joy in the future. For now, let us let this music take us to another peaceful place. hugs from shanthi healing music
As I'm doing my doctorate in Medieval history.. I love this, utterly fascinating! My cup of tea
Gregorian chanting is so utterly relaxing and hauntingly beautiful ❤
This is the perfect background noise for reading Umberto Eco's "The Name of the Rose". Thank you!!
Thank you, Namaste...

This is one of the best monastery ambient sound videos on youtube.
It certainly is
...and for this I am very grateful.. beautifully crafted..a masterpiece in its own right
.. perfectly timed
... background sounds hypnotically haunting and holy ...some people do not have the ability to listen to such music ..
I love Gregorian hymns, they greatly calm the human mind.
Gregorian Chants are the Music of SILENCE, therefore, quite appropriate for Meditation on Scriptures and also on all the parts of the Catholic Mass in both the Extraordinary and Ordinary Form.
I love this Sacred Music of the Holy Catholic Faith ,developed by Pope St.Gregory the Great .
I t helps me focus without all the worldly distractions, whenever I am praying the Holy Rosary and other prayers .
Wonderfully atmospheric. Who wouldn't be happy living in a medieval monastery. Away from worldly cares and temptations, seeking divine knowledge, living a well ordered life. My soul delights at the thought of it. A simple unaccompanied plainchant would have worked even better I think and been more authentic.
Sounds like heaven
100% gonna be meditating to this. And I don't even meditate, but this makes me want to.
oh boy.
Try catholic meditation
Oh my goodness, this might be one of my favourites so far! I love the Gregorian chant/monastic ones, they really calm the mind! Thankyou for this video, it's excellent! All of your videos are great :D
Thank you so much! 🤗
Omg the wind is a wonderful effect
Just wanted to thank you for creating this, I've been using this in gymnasium (high school) for two years while studying, having it on repeat for hours to motivate myself in reminding why I am doing this. Now, this very summer, I got accepted to the best university of my country and finally can study latin and ancient greek as I dreamed for years. Your video was there as a background music and a subcounsios reminder and will propably stay this way for years to come.
Wow, that's incredible! First of all, congratulations on your well-deserved acceptance to the best university in the country! I'm genuinely touched to hear that the video played a part in your journey, accompanying you through the highs and lows of high school and now into the exciting realm of Latin and ancient Greek studies. It's amazing how music can be a silent yet powerful companion, and I'm honored that my creation has been a part of your story. Wishing you all the success and fulfillment in your academic pursuits!
What a beautiful creation this is
These are so lovely for fans of the band Ghost. So nice to pretend to fall asleep in the Emeritus Church 🖤
I salute all believers. ✝️✝️❤️
I listen to meditate. It heals. 🎉
So so GOOOOD!!!
This reminds me of the time I used to play enigma and my favorite album for them on rainy days and picture life back in 1995 .. great days

This is one of the best, most peaceful and inspiring gregorian chant videos there is. Countless nights i have turned this.
Lovely! One can sense the spiritual feelings Gregorian Chants can evoke.
You added interesting occasional sound effect like swirling air, owls hooting, footsteps (of nuns hurrying to the chapel perhaps). Very relaxing !!! Nicely done.
Deep music! 😊✌️
EPIC
Wow this is so beautiful 😭
I'm happy you like it 😊
Невозможно оторваться от голосов и звуков.НИРВАНА.

Hello friend, your every comment makes my day too :)
God bless you, RPG Ambient Sounds!!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this. I am a devout Catholic and, for me, this video is a Christmas present.
Thank you RPG Ambient, your tracks really help me come to terms with my own stressors and reflect on what I can manage and what’s out of my own control. Sometimes a little push is all you need to help you let go.
Bless you and have a lovely day.
Have a heavenly day too! ❤
Hold the line. Be inspired in the right way
Gets the impression of having entered the ambience of "In the name of the rose", a darker and more sinister version of "Cathedral library" I guess. Love the owls. Thank you and God bless!
I grew up in the Catholic Church when the Mass was said in Latin. We had a music director who was enamored of Gregorian chant. I left the church over 50 years ago, but my love of Gregorian chant has always remained. Thank you for this beautiful piece. It is so calming. ❤
Loved the beauty of the chats coming together
Chants .I could get lost in them
So soothing to my troubled mind and head.

Delicious background atmospheric tones and beautiful imagery for when I pray. More of this type of upload please.
I’m an atheist and I love listening to Gregorian chants. The harmonies resonate deeply, thank you for the upload!
Please seek Jesus Christ. He is loving and kind. He is always with you no matter if we are away from him. Return to the Lord. In Jesus Christ's name, amen.

Beautiful and relaxing.
👌
Absolutely Beautiful!
Thank you! 🙏
Deus Vult✝️❤️
Wonderfully calming. More please.
Sounds by which to read The Name of the Rose...
I listened to this as I did my evening prayer and meditation. It helped me to sense the presence of the Holy Spirit with the sound of the wind combined with the chant. I’m probably not expressing myself very well. I usually shy away from language like “sensing the presence.” But something like that just happened.
Man, this has been helping me sleep like nothing has for a LONG time. Thank you so much!
This really helped me calm down and helped me get to the right mindset to read and think back on life. So I hope it helps others with clearing there head and reading whatever they are reading.
It's so beautiful and relaxing thank you for posting 🥰
I love this, it's beautiful and makes me calm & sleepy.
So beautiful!
Enjoying this while I work, and SO looking forward to playing this on the big screentv while I read tonight!
Love the mix of vocal tones.

this soothes my soul.....i need this. thank you
You're welcome my friend.
Hauntingly Beautiful! 🖤💙✨⚡️
Amazing ambiance:)
Will always adore this particular chant. It’s how I found your channel ^^
So soothing...
Without a doubt: MY FAVORITE of all!! maybe because of the nostalgia that results from it, or the nagging songs emanating such a beautiful haunting/bewitching melody... maybe also because I write while listening to this wonder of which I never tire...
Thank you so much for that... it makes me forget this crazy world
I should add Thank You, so Thank You! This is comforting to the soul in my present state. Granted it could drive others over the edge, where their bodies are revved up in youth and such. But for me and many others as comments reflect, it's comforting.😉
Great that you acknowledged the artwork! Hardly anyone ever does for their videos !
