It defo does! Our two year old went from first time on balance bike to pedals in a month vs our 5 year old had training wheels and took him two seasons.
My parents and everyone older don't get the point of a balance bike...I have bought my 3 yr old son a balance bike...and I always try to get them now that it is very important so later when they make the transition its easier....Congrats! Your son did well! I hope mine makes a transition like that :)
Thats great. I literally have just bought balance bikes for my soon to be 3 year old twins... looking forward to seeing how they make transition in the future.
My 3 year still having a hard time with training wheels. But he sure does love his balance bike. I even uploaded a video of him riding it. Your son is riding it like a champ.
Thanks for posting this! I've been debating on getting a balance bike for my 2yo but I wasn't sure if it really helped them to learn. The transitioning to a pedal bike is my biggest concern but I guess it really works!!😁 We'll give it a go!
Trying to get my son to transition, he is brilliant on his balance bike but he's never used pedals on anything. You said your son has never used the bike without training wheels, did you have them to help him learn to pedal before?
He had never used pedals before. The video actually shows his first time. I figured he could use the pedal bike as a balance bike on the slight driveway slope and pick up pedals on his own.
So this is more of a transition from a pedal bike with training wheels to a pedal bike without training wheels with preparation of balance bike before that? Kind of a misleading title but still awesome to see Max kicking butt!
0:34 “Have you ever ridden this bike without training wheels?” Can be interpreted as “Have you ever ridden this with the training wheels off?” Or “have you ever ridden this bike, the one without training wheels?”

Awesome job! Making the transition soon with the lilin. We'll see how it goes.
the elevated way discreetly helps
I’m four, and this is very good!
without question it does!
Nice! Although the 12” wheel pedal bike was to small for him. His knees were almost hitting the handle bars.
Good demonstration with great success.
Which wheel size have the bikes in this video? 12 or 16?
12
Nice job Max!
Hello! What brand is the balance bike from?

Incorrect, he never had a bike with training wheels.
where did you get the idea that he had training wheels before?
