  • Tools and equipment we never knew we were missing out on until we had them. Make firewood processing easier than ever with the right equipment. Rachel and I finish bucking up the beech tree I chopped down with an axe. The ported Echo CS501 chainsaw makes quick work of it. Then into the oversized tractor bucket and over to the All Wood Log Table. Into the muscle wood log splitter and up the conveyor, at least for a little while. Not everything went right as you’ll see. So, what your are saying is, I need about 80 acres, a tractor, a few different awesome splitters, a wife that works with me (and isn't afraid to give you sh*t), some ported chainsaws, and a CZcams channel that doesn't suck. Okay, well I have the ported chainsaws and a wife that gives me sh*t taken care of at least. LOL

    Some folks would consider that table extraneous (that means TOTALLY unnecessary!). When you have a good tractor, a big bucket, and up and down, in and out control of the wood rounds, why would you even want a table that's almost impossible to move to the right spot, that's always spilling wood to pick up off the ground from a difficult place, and ya gotta rake half the load out with a pickeroon. Just take it from the bucket, easy, peasy! That's just some folks' opinion, not mine, of course!

    The reason why the conveyor belt is running off to one side is because of the frost on drive pulley or shaft. Tighten up on the high side. Meaning on your left, the side that is pulling away from the plastic. I know it sounds strange but it will want to go towards the tight side. Try a little at a time. At first empty and then try loaded.

I’m definitely going to get a log table at some point. Seeing it in action at the Hoosier Firewood Hysteria made me a believer. Your splitter produced more wood than any other splitter that day. Why not just fill the bucket and set it over top of the table? Then you can still grab the pieces out of the bucket, and use a pickaroon and spike the pieces when they are hard to reach (back row and the ends). Thats a sweet bucket for the job though. 2 rows deep, thats a lot of wood

    • @hardworkingmanoutdoors
      @hardworkingmanoutdoors  Před 8 měsíci

      With the width of the table and bucket together the pickaroon won’t reach that far. I’ve thought about trying to place the bucket to where it would gravity dump onto the table as it emptied but usually end up with a wood avalanche.

      @@hardworkingmanoutdoors Yeah, i could see that. You definitely have a good setup going. But theres some room for improvement getting the bucked rounds on the splitter. Just a pain. Im working on a bucking table with an in feed conveyor to the splitter. So you set the log on the table, buck the rounds, then roll them off the back of the table onto a conveyor...then you can operate the conveyor with a foot pedal to feed into the splitter.
