Sgt. Murtaugh (Danny Glover) nails some bad guys.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Lethal Weapon 2 re-teams Mel Gibson and Danny Glover as, respectively, "loose cannon" L.A. detective Martin Riggs and his partner, the cautious family man Roger Murtaugh. The villain this time is a South African diplomat (Joss Ackland) who doubles as a drug dealer. Though Riggs knows what's going on thanks to characterless character witness Joe Pesci, he can't touch the villain because of "diplomatic immunity." After perils too numerous to mention, Riggs and Murtaugh shoot it out with the heavies on the deck of a South African cargo ship. Lethal Weapon 2, of course, contains as one of its comic high-points a now famous suspense scene: Mel Gibson agonizingly attempting to extricate a terrified Danny Glover from a booby-trapped toilet seat. Director Richard Donner, Gibson, Glover, and Joe Pesci would be reunited three years later for Lethal Weapon 3 and in 1998 for Lethal Weapon 4.

Brings back bad memories from high school. I had music class for 4 years, with about 30 other students. Always thought the sax was so cool, except they handed off the 2 or 3 they had alphabetically.......when your last name started with W....too bad, clarinet and baritone it was!
Murtaugh's lucky the carpenter forgot his tools. Seriously though, this is scene is so bad ass.

I worked with a carpenter. They always leave all the stuff at the house or working zone until the job is done. No matter what. Even loaded nail guns.
(That's why they close the working area, and ask the home owner to keep children away).
X Ray Studios carpenters and crews that build or remodel homes etc leave equipment around until work is done, know quite a few carpenters and had work done on my house and left equipment in basement for 2 weeks including Hvac parts. I had to keep my daughter out of basement. We couldn’t stay in our house first night or so due to drywall dust etc
He's also lucky that the nail gun can function even when it's not connected to an air hose 😋
I love the saxophone that plays whenever Murtaugh makes a one liner.
The sax is as much for Martin. And probably more.
That’s David Sanborn on the sax. He is one of the all time greats on the instrument, and both composed and played the music for the “Lethal Weapon” movies. Sadly, he just passed away at the beginning of this week (on May 12).
That sax is a character of its own.
Man these saxophone lines were magical during the intense scenes lol. You were expecting someone to be killed with the intense sax sound lmfao.

Dumbest hitmen in the world, neither Carry's a silenced pistol, one preferred to wake up the whole neighborhood fighting in-house and pulls a double duffiest bounes move by trying to stab Roger to death with a kitchen knife. Dummy #2 tries to strangle Roger through a plastic wall. A real hitmen is never even heard, he walks up to you back of the head silence pistol and goodnight, case closed.
Because of that, Murtaugh was actually able to fight back and kill them.
Me to or when Riggs do something and start the saxophone again, one of my favorite things in this movies.
Would've been great if the second guy actually was Leo, just horsing around.
