Hey Chuck, love your tear down and fix 'em tutorials! Found that very interesting indeed!!! Looking forward to your next episode! Take care and God Bless man!
Thank you Paul 😃👍. I have it all back together with lubrication in all the right areas, now it cocks very smooth and easy. Shooting open sights is a lot of fun, but I need the proper amount of light. It's turning out 12.25 FPE with the CPUM 10.5. When I get replacement parts, I will plan on keeping it at 12 FPE.
People cut off a few coils, heat and flatten the spring back out, then smooth the ends as you have done just to make it shoot a little smoother. Diana 34's were the most recommended break barrels on the forums for 15-20 years because it was basically the most affordable German air rifle. They were know for honking right from the factory because they were a bit dry inside sometimes unlike China that packed in extra grease lol. I know you love the steal springs and I always tell ya I'm a fan of gas rams anytime I have a choice because I, don't care to tear down and tune every airgun I get anymore lol. If you want any info on tuning or breaking down the triggers there's more info than you could ever need over on GTA forums. Most likely more info on the 34 than any other air rifle because they recommended them to everyone that asked about starting out or moving up to a German air rifle.
Well Chuck, if there's a way to do it, then take a flame thrower to it 😃😃lol... and yeh a guy over here did that yesterday on a video on his HW 97, it was a new spring but it was shooting way above the legal 12 limit over here.. and he did what your doing.. 👌🤘 and it worked, I though he was gonna set his garage on fire. And he didn't dip it in oil.. maybe he watched your video... 🤘👌👍
Meant to say Chuck what about setting up a HFT league. You would be great at that .. A good revenue for you.. people will come.. its Regulated but that means everyone is shooting the same power etc bla bla bla.. just a thought.. 👍👌🤞
I thought it would have leather piston seal but that's a synthetic one great i waiting for shooting video after you lube it and assemble it that one piece of spring coil will definitely decrease the power but i hope it will still be around sub 12
I have run many pellets through it and it's getting about 12.25 FPE with CPHP 10.5. I'm planning on doing an open sight video before putting a scope on, but I will need good light for it.
Thank you so much Anton 😃👍. I did a little shooting and video yesterday that my son is going to work on today hopefully. I have only been using open sites and managed 9 out of 10 shots under a quarter at 21 yards with cphp7.9. I have not tried many different pellets in this rifle, but it is a tack driver. Also I need to chamfer the breach because all of the pellet skirts hang out of the breach a little. Cocking and loading is extremely smooth and quiet, especially after I added plenty of grease on the moving parts.
@@springpistonriflefeverlone9611 Thanks so much for that update... I'm sure Christopher will do a great job editing it👍 Looking forward to seeing it. Enjoy the special day tomorrow! I'm looking at getting an HW50s.. Seems like a lovely mid power gun.. Will see as I need to count my pennies.. Cost of living is getting expensive!
Hey chuck thanks for the video , in this video I saw there are 3 holes on the piston , did you make those holes or bought it like that , I’m wondering if it does give you more fps or make any difference putting hole on the piston, thanks again
Thank you for checking out my video. BTW I subscribed to you. 😃👍 By the looks of the enteral's, I believe everything is original, because lack of lubrication. This rifle is not about maximum FPS, it's about smooth accurate easy shooting. This rifle is turning out 12+FPE and is perfect for target practice 🎯, drilling cans and hunting cottontails 🐇 and tree squirrels 🐿️. Many people in the USA will lift their nose 👃 to 12 FPE of power, but this power will easily penetrate a deer 🦌 skull.
@@springpistonriflefeverlone9611 thanks a million for subscribing 🙌🏻🙏. You are right about fps, most people like to get more fps out of their rifle including me but just like u said , even around 12+ fpe is enough and I don’t need to deal w sore shoulder next day
Chuck I wish I could take my HW97KT apart but I heard I need a spring compresser to change it if I wanted to is that true and do you have one when you do your tear downs buddy.
Hi John, good to hear from you. A spring compressor is not 100% necessary, but putting it back together might be, depending on how much preload your rifle has. I have been in my HW77 and it's not too hard.

Thank you John 🙂👍
I like how your fixing your Diana rather than buying new parts Chuck. Im sure it will shoot smoother than before after a good lube. Take care.

Wooow great work on this rifle spring my dear friend! Have a nice day 💀 👍
Thank you so much 😃👍. It's 2:00am and I can't sleep 😴.

Do you think if I put a Vortek kit in it I would need a spring compresser
For the Diana 34, yes it needs a compressor.

How much fos does this produce
Fps
It really depends on the pellet. With cpum10.5, about 725 FPS=12.25 FPE
