NSU is the first band I’ve seen stop and do a full routine/performance at the Rose Parade. I think that was a great idea to fully showcase the band. I wonder if this was planned or spur of the moment thing? Good job regardless Legion!

I've been so focused on the SWAC bands that I forgot about Norfolk! Legion, y'all gave me CHILLS!!!! and Hot Ice, beyond amazing! I love our culture. Spartan Legion has ALWAYS been one of the top performing bands. The musicality is always spot on.
My family's been a part of the Rose Parade since 1938. I have sat on that corner for some 18 years of my life. I have watched this parade almost every year and I've never seen a band do that fabulous of a performence. Hats off and spectacular use of the time and space. Kudos to the band director and the tournament for making it happen.

The Spartan Band has definitely earned its respected high caliber status. 💎💎💎💎💎 This is actually only one example of the beauty of ALL HBCU Bands being highly talented and entertaining SHOW BANDS!!!
Would love to see you all come back to Pasadena in less than four years. Everything you all did here in Cali was beyond amazing! 👏👏👏👏👏. You definitely left your mark and some very tough shoes to fill for other HBCU bands to follow.
