Apparently, we only use the three primary colors (blue, yellow, and red) in addition to white, which is a neutral color, but we give them four colors metaphorically so that the novice trainees can understand the matter.
But in fact, you can create an infinite number of colors by mixing these three colors together and obtaining beautiful oil paintings
Primary colors are the basic colors that cannot be created by mixing other colors. In art, the primary colors are red, blue, and yellow. These colors are important in oil painting because they can be mixed to create all other colors on the color wheel.
Oil paints are a popular medium for artists because they offer a wide range of colors, are easy to blend, and have a long drying time, which allows for more flexibility in the painting process. When it comes to oil paints, there are many brands and types of paint available, each with their own unique characteristics.
White and black are important colors in oil painting, as they are used to adjust the value and tone of other colors. White oil paint is often used to create tints, which are lighter versions of a color. For example, mixing white with blue will create a lighter blue color. White can also be used to lighten other colors without significantly changing their hue.
Black oil paint, on the other hand, is often used to create shades, which are darker versions of a color. For example, mixing black with blue will create a darker blue color. Black can also be used to darken other colors without significantly changing their hue.
It's important to note that not all white and black oil paints are created equal. There are many different types of white and black pigments, each with their own unique properties. For example, titanium white is a popular white pigment that is very opaque and has a high tinting strength, while zinc white is a more transparent white pigment that is often used in glazes. Similarly, ivory black is a popular black pigment that is very opaque and has a high tinting strength, while lamp black is a more transparent black pigment that is often used in underpainting.
When selecting white and black oil colors, it's important to consider the pigment properties and choose colors that are compatible with the other colors you are using. It's also a good idea to experiment with different types of white and black pigments to find the ones that work best for your particular painting style and techniques.
It's worth noting that some artists prefer not to use black paint in their oil paintings and instead create shades by mixing complementary colors together. Complementary colors are colors that are opposite each other on the color wheel, such as red and green, blue and orange, or yellow and purple. Mixing these colors together can create a darker hue without the use of black paint.
In addition to white and black, oil paints also come in a range of other colors, including earth tones, greens, blues, reds, and yellows, among others. Many artists also mix their own colors to create custom shades and hues.

👋Good evening, dear Yasser. - Sunset pictures spread a very special mood from the very beginning, and although the viewer is about center front in the somewhat cooler shadow area, the sight that presents itself speaks of warmth. One cannot directly identify a season, but the sparse foliage on the tree in the left third leads me to conclude that it is autumn, and in autumn it is usually, depending on the area, still warm anyway. It is possible that we are looking across an extensive lake or a wide river here, because the water behaves too calmly towards the shore for pointing to a coastline. It appears to be in flow, however, covering roughly the middle third of the field of view from the lower right edge to the horizon, continuing there on both sides behind land masses. The sun is flooding firmament and river with a beautiful golden glow, already strongly pushing back the formerly blue sky, where a few clouds pass by; only in the heights the last remnant still stubbornly refuses to change color. One looks a little greenish, but that will soon be resolved as soon as the star sinks below the horizon and heralds the night. Also the clouds change their appearance and show colors from whitish to yellow-orange to a purple tone in the shadow areas. At the very moment it is still bright enough to be able to make out two large birds very close above the surface of the water; they are already dark in appearance, so it is not possible to say exactly whether they may be gulls. About in the middle of the field of view, on the right edge, we can recognize either a small island or a spit of land jutting into the river. It serves as a habitat for some pretty deciduous trees, whose leaf crowns still seem to be intact; the foliage presents itself as golden and reddish in the glow of the setting sun, a little green also seems to peek out at its location, and a dark red with which the island and overgrowth show up as shadows on the river surface. One cannot say with certainty that the river continues on the horizon behind the land area on the left, but it could be, and accordingly two well-grown evergreen trees and other deciduous trees form the boundary towards the rear left bank. Those, too, rise on a narrow promontory, their grassy growth appearing more yellowish than green because of the light conditions, and the tall flexible tops of the firs bask in a golden glow, while the shadows have covered their lower branches with a purplish red cloth. The conifers tower over a humble neat cottage that blends almost inconspicuously into the landscape. It seems to have an annex to its left or an outbuilding is right there beside it. What can still be seen regarding the buildings is that both are painted in a fair color and have a gable roof, which may have been thatched. On the gable end of the building, built near the shore, there is an entrance door, and around to the left corner of the house, an illuminated window indicates that there is somebody at home. On top of that, the chimney smokes, so this assumption is not far-fetched. There appears to be a large green ornamental shrub right next to the entrance, possibly still bearing flower umbels. On one side it stands close to the bank of the river, on the other it grows up to the edge of a natural path, which seems to be almost entirely devoid of green plants. Small areas of grassy vegetation appear only at the margins of the hard and stony looking path. To the left rises a rather neat-looking fence built of vertical slats, behind which some low bushes seem to grow, diagonally opposite, closer to the observer, the attempt to erect a wooden barrier on this perhaps somewhat damp area, since it is closer to the water, seems to have more or less failed. Some of the laths are still standing, others are already visibly leaning to one side, and the crossbeams seem to be approaching the river in a threatening manner. Maybe plants and the rudiments of a shrub can save them from the final slide for a while. Once again, the tall tree that rises slightly to the left of the center of the scene receives an admiring glance. It has two trunks, not entirely straight but pretty to look at, that have grown out of one just a little bit above the ground, and its branches and twigs stretch proudly toward the firmament. The foliage crowns have already thinned somewhat, but clusters of already colorful foliage still hold on tenaciously and are rewarded with final showers of the golden light of the setting sun on the horizon, from which even the surface of the river still benefits along its entire length. And while the purple shadows on the banks of the river, the edges of the path and between the buildings slowly lengthen, we leisurely make our way home. - Thank you so much, dear Yasser, for presenting us with another of your gorgeous paintings! This one comes alive with the wonderful complementary colors, the warm yellow and the cooler purple, the orange and blue, the reddish and green tones. The icing on the cake, as always, are the super beautiful trees and smaller details, not to mention the good composition of your paintings. - May God bless and protect you always. Have a good night.🙏💖
