    Is $1000 for a 2003 gmc envoy with 220000 miles on it that runs and drive a good deal? Transmission rebuilt at 180000 and new water pump. I think its a steal but wanna be sure.

    Got my 05 Denali… after previous owner (my buddy’s mom) handled costly repairs ….
    full transmission replacement
    Rear Air ride susp swapped -springs etc
    I purchased for $2500!!! (us) less than half of kbb value!
    Mysterious electrical issues at first with spontaneous shut off. Unresponsive etc.. (figured out it was the under hood fuse box itself! Factory replacement =perfect
    I’ve since done water pump myself…
    Upper a frame (front right) and ball joints (all). Been awesome vehicle @187k
    * although low oil pressure is the newest “to do” I hope I don’t need to drop the pan to do the pickup tube o-ring… but prob is my issue

      @@321verykind thanks! As a teenager (20 yrs ago) I started with small things and worked towards the harder tasks… it’s not as daunting once you dive in! Haha…
      I’m lucky enough to have a father who’s a master mechanic (without CZcams at his fingertips)… I never stop asking questions. Not to mention access to his fully functional shop (a stones throw away from my house) with a lift, alignment, tire machine, more than I’d ever need! All Ready to go. So it’s RARE

    If you’re getting harsh 1-2 shift check mass airflow sensor. I had same shift problem, no codes, after research checked mass airflow sensor readings. Replaced and shift returned to normal.

    Hey I got a quick question that doesn't really relate to mechanical issues but rather a radio wiring one, I have an 04 XL with the Bose system and need accessory power for my new system - which the OEM system doesn't have. Is it possible for me to route power from the Onstar system to act as the accessory power? Thanks in advance.

  • @Psycodiver69
    @Psycodiver69 Před 11 měsíci +1

    You forgot the HVAC fan motor resistor, I mean its a common issue for all GMs during this era but they seem to only last about 40k-60k miles. Same with the blend doors, their made of plastic and tend to strip out and get stuck in one position.

    Question, I am looking to buy a 2008 envoy Denali with 122k miles. It's a single owner vehicle, and in above average condition for its age and miles. I'm looking to replace a 03 lesabre as my back and forth to work vehicle. Would this be a good vehicle to buy considering the miles? The price is $7500 US. If yes, is there anything I should check or inspect prior to purchase? Thank you for you time.

    I. Have a 2005 gmc Envoy Denali, and It just quit in traffic one day. I changed the fuel pump,ignition switch, crank shaft position sensor, and underwood fuse box. It will crank and run for about an hour or so, then it shuts🎉 off and will not crank again till later after a few hours or not at all for a day or so. I've had it in several shops, including the dealer, and no one can seem to find the issue. As knowledgeable as you are with these vehicles, do any ideas pop out to you, sir?

    You don’t have to rebuild a engine or replace a engine because of a bad lifter stop giving people false information all you have to do is replace the lifters

    • @321verykind
      @321verykind Před 5 měsíci +1

      What are you talking about dude. These lifters can cause the engine to seize and you’ll end up either replacing the engine or rebuilding it. I’ve seen many go thi route, unless you find the problem before it happens. I’m not giving false information, you need to check where you are getting your information from before commenting:)
