Great presentation. I’m considering buying a 2003 Envoy with 94k miles that’s been garaged for the past 5 years, one owner. I’ll come back to your videos if needed.
First thing to do is clean every ground wire on the truck that got rid of over half my electrical problems
Is $1000 for a 2003 gmc envoy with 220000 miles on it that runs and drive a good deal? Transmission rebuilt at 180000 and new water pump. I think its a steal but wanna be sure.
Can’t go wrong for 1000 bucks but you gotta be handy and fix things your self haha
Got my 05 Denali… after previous owner (my buddy’s mom) handled costly repairs ….
full transmission replacement
Rear Air ride susp swapped -springs etc
I purchased for $2500!!! (us) less than half of kbb value!
Mysterious electrical issues at first with spontaneous shut off. Unresponsive etc.. (figured out it was the under hood fuse box itself! Factory replacement =perfect
I’ve since done water pump myself…
Upper a frame (front right) and ball joints (all). Been awesome vehicle @187k
* although low oil pressure is the newest “to do” I hope I don’t need to drop the pan to do the pickup tube o-ring… but prob is my issue
Nice looks like you’ve done a lot of work by yourself. Wish I could do that. Enjoy your ride:)
@@321verykind thanks! As a teenager (20 yrs ago) I started with small things and worked towards the harder tasks… it’s not as daunting once you dive in! Haha…
I’m lucky enough to have a father who’s a master mechanic (without CZcams at his fingertips)… I never stop asking questions. Not to mention access to his fully functional shop (a stones throw away from my house) with a lift, alignment, tire machine, more than I’d ever need! All Ready to go. So it’s RARE
If you’re getting harsh 1-2 shift check mass airflow sensor. I had same shift problem, no codes, after research checked mass airflow sensor readings. Replaced and shift returned to normal.
ah. very interesting. Didn't know that could be the culprit, I'll check it out. Thankyou
Hey I got a quick question that doesn't really relate to mechanical issues but rather a radio wiring one, I have an 04 XL with the Bose system and need accessory power for my new system - which the OEM system doesn't have. Is it possible for me to route power from the Onstar system to act as the accessory power? Thanks in advance.
Ooo. I am not sure. I think it’s best if you ask the trailblazer envoy groups on Facebook. You will for sure get an answer there. Cheers
Awesome video! I have a 2004 Buick Rainier with V8. Do you think changing the ATF will help the tranny slip?
Might make it worse, might make it better. But personally I would try changing it. Which is what I will do
Hello I have a 5.3 envoy but now the engine doesn’t turn but ac compressor was making noise thank you Nicholas
Hi. I am not sure what the problem could be. You could have a bad alternator. But I suggest joining Facebook groups and ask them as they are much more reliable than me
You forgot the HVAC fan motor resistor, I mean its a common issue for all GMs during this era but they seem to only last about 40k-60k miles. Same with the blend doors, their made of plastic and tend to strip out and get stuck in one position.
Couldn't have asked for a better video.
Question, I am looking to buy a 2008 envoy Denali with 122k miles. It's a single owner vehicle, and in above average condition for its age and miles. I'm looking to replace a 03 lesabre as my back and forth to work vehicle. Would this be a good vehicle to buy considering the miles? The price is $7500 US. If yes, is there anything I should check or inspect prior to purchase? Thank you for you time.
I think that’s a good deal considering the age and mileage. But I would definitely do a complete dod delete. It will be worth it in the long run. Good luck with your purchase
Can I just put a tuner on it? Or do I have to do the full delete? I would have to take it in to have done and it will be around $3500. I'm looking for a cheaper way to do it. Any suggestions?
I want to buy an envoy 2003 v8 like this
Its good or no?
Im from lebanon
Im looking at a 2007 gmc envoy for $1800. Is that worth it? I need help trying to figure out if i should get it or not. Can you take a couple minutes to answer a few questions i have?
Hey. I’m not a mechanic or an expert here. You can ask questions on Facebook groups. They will be more helpful than me.
I. Have a 2005 gmc Envoy Denali, and It just quit in traffic one day. I changed the fuel pump, ignition switch, crank shaft position sensor, and underwood fuse box. It will crank and run for about an hour or so, then it shuts🎉 off and will not crank again till later after a few hours or not at all for a day or so. I've had it in several shops, including the dealer, and no one can seem to find the issue. As knowledgeable as you are with these vehicles, do any ideas pop out to you, sir?
Check the throttle body, maf sensor. I good mechanic should be able to pinpoint the problem. Good luck 👍
ECM same thing on mine now camshaft position sensor on check engine but doesn't turn off anymore I love my Envoy fast AF
you said they all have it.(denali) then u said that dose not. was it taki
en off
Temp sensor
You don’t have to rebuild a engine or replace a engine because of a bad lifter stop giving people false information all you have to do is replace the lifters
What are you talking about dude. These lifters can cause the engine to seize and you’ll end up either replacing the engine or rebuilding it. I’ve seen many go thi route, unless you find the problem before it happens. I’m not giving false information, you need to check where you are getting your information from before commenting:)
Great video! I recently purchased a 5.3 envoy and have been watching all of your content on them Thank you!
Thankyou. Glad to help out
