not having a killswitch makes DJI drones super dangerous. if this was one of my FPV drones I would have disarmed it at the first sign of disobedience, better it fall and break then run wild and hit something.
I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see a safe landing after the drone finally turned to head home, but noooo, that drone was determined to go out in a blaze of glory
warranty did not cover it, because it was my fault! my advice, go slow, and read all the directions then double, triple check! Go with a phantom 2 and you should be good to go! Good luck
This is one of my most weirdest fears of all, I live next to a restricted forest area and i thought it would be nice to go check it out (from on top and not in it).my drone started bugging out and it flew all the way into the forest and crash landed into the area, I eventually turned it on and it flew back to me.I guess i was lucky because it had landed on its legs.I have never piloted a drone since.

I was scarried when looking this video. It happenned the same thing to me when flying very close to the ground, between big trees. The battery came low (according to the system appreciation, because the remote showed more than 20% ...) and the drone engaged a RTH that begins by flying up to more than 20 meters, right at the top of the trees ! By chance, it has fallen 24 h after because a strong wind. I hate when the drone do something I don't understand... And that I don't want !
Mine did the same but i dont know if its a flyaway i am new to this drone thing and i head outside to test my LF606 fold drone mini and as i got the high of a house i accedentaly click headless mode but to my research headless mode does nothing exept make it easier to fly and then it flew away, as i ran to my panic to another street i click return to home then i never saw it again...
Yeah, i was lucky I had my phone number on there! Really stupid of me at the time, as I really didnt understand how to fly the done, and the safety features it had built in. Had I known these features, this would have never happened.
@@johnargue2977 yep. . . this was from way back when you had to install a gopro on board to have video. I at least had the forethought to put my number on it. That was the only smart thing I did that day.
I'm starting to think a self destruct switch on the props might be a good idea to prevent fly aways.

you cant...it happend to me today - it was trying to keep up and not responding to commands - so you cant bring it down.
Someone has a free drone. I just ordered a drone. I think I'll stick my phone number on it just in case. If headless mode is turned off, it's hard.
