- Welcome back to the channel! We are doing something crazy in this video. It is June 14th, 2021, we scalp the lawn and power rake/ dethatch using the SunJoe in the beginning of summer. I do not suggest this for everyone, but I wanted to see how the lawn would respond. I really wanted better color and clear out some of the fungus damage from a few weeks back. Let's see how it does. I plan to scarify in August before we get a lot of hurricane rain here in TN. I want the dead grass clippings to protect the soil during these hot temps.

Wow… Cutting that low - ya’ll be Reel mowing real soon.. Roughly, what was the height of grass B4 ya cut, 6-7inches ??? Great Video btw 👍
It was roughly 5 to 6 inches. I wish I had the time to reel mow. Love short turf but don't have the time to cut it as often as you should. Thanks for watching! Lets see if looks better in a week or two.
I haven’t been able to find the battery powered sun joe dethatcher anywhere. I do think my lawn has a bunch of dead grass and fungus I’d like to pick up
Mine is has a cord and works just fine. Give it a shot. You will amazed on how much stuff is in there. At least I was the first time I tried the SunJoe. Appreciate you watching!
