There's only two reasons to step foot in Cleveland.....the Christmas Story house and picking up a Mello Yellow KP grand prix!
Congrats man, can't wait to see the progress!
Aw man, I forgot that house is there! Poop!!!
BS! You forgot about the BEST RECORD IN BASEBALL: Cleveland India...errr...Guardians and their BEAUTIFUL ballpark!!!
WoW...awesome acquisition! Thanks for sharing & so glad you didnt have a fire from that electrical issue right there in his driveway.
No kidding!
Scott, that’s really a cool find. Congratulations. 👍🏻
Thanks 👍
My favorite paint scheme
Awesome find Scott ! So excited for you and the car
Cleveland guy here. So crazy to think this was in a garage not far from me. 😮
You just never know. Crazy to think about it!
The charger that was with it was just as beautiful. Mint condition. 66s. No scratch’s. I think 40k miles from Arizona. Rust free.
Scott great acquisition
Hello from Seville Ohio! Southern Medina!
Great video! That’s a very cool car!
Thanks!
14:23--Yeah i'd only wanna truck drive out west also. Last time i truck drove to cleveland i picked up a cool load of welding aquipment at the collossal sized Lincoln electric welding world HQ. They have a gift shop. And the constant 100mph moving shadow from walking underneath the lincoln electric giant windmill blades was trippy.
INCREDIBLE!!!! Sooo happy for you Scott!
Thanks so much!!
DANG someday I hope I get the chance to buy an old retired NASCAR. That would be AWESOME! I’ll definitely check out the merch! Great content as always, much love from Texas!
More history saved, congratulations what a great find
Goodluck on your journey! Goodluck on the restoration! I can’t wait to see what you do with it. - Scott
Heck yeah Scott. Ive been trying to think of what you could be picking up and a second 42 car never entered my thoughts. It looks so cool though. Cant wait until you get it back and let us see it again. Very cool video.
Oh that's awesome Scott! When you mentioned before that you would sell your Mello yellow car I thought man how could this new car be better than your dream car. Well an actual raced version. But I'd say keep both of you can. Such awesome cars. Can't wait to see you clean it up. I'm happy for you
Thanks so much! I wondered how many would guess that when I said I would sell the Mello Yello car. Haha!
Nice find! Now you have a primary and back up car just like the real deal 😁
Hahaha!! Never thought of it that way.
Cool find it would be awesome to know how many races this car ran before it became a show car
That's the tough part. No records exist this far back as to what chassis ran what races.
@@grassrootsnascarracing5431 I’d bet contacting Kyle would net you some good results…
I am a certified forklift operator and electrician LOL . Once you let the magic blue smoke out its not a good thing. . Hey give us a big logo on the back and a pocket with your logo Scott. @@grassrootsnascarracing5431 Give me a few days. We are so busy at work right now . I get about an hour each night to answerer the 2 accounts that we have
The trick in Ohio is to get off the Highways to see the scenery lol.
You are the only one that would go out of the way and actually spend money on something Kyle Petty tried to race.
There’s a great story and a unique race history to every hand-fabricated chassis ever made. Just because it’s in Sabco/Kyle Petty livery doesn’t mean it doesn’t have a deep dark past that shouldn’t be researched…
(And certain old race cars in original condition can bring some very good money in resale!)
Oh boy. There's always one. Was wondering when you would show up.
you did fantastic video-work!Grassrootsnascarracing- =))
Thanks! Trying to learn with every video.
I’m just saying…. I’m a mechanic I’m more than willing to offer my services for free to work on your cars.🤣🤣 You pay for the parts of course.
Where are you located?
@@grassrootsnascarracing5431 in North Carolina. So the fuel cost may be a bit excessive.
