EXPLORE THE MAGIC OF ENGLISH VILLAGES IN SUMMER - North Yorkshire Coast

- Join us this week to explore the magic of English villages in summer. In today's video we take our (unfinished) van for it's first adventure where we're exploring the North Yorkshire Coast, paying a visit to some of the most beautiful villages that Yorkshire has to offer. We start with a flying visit to Flamborough Head for Heidi to enjoy rock pooling before we make our way to the picturesque old fishing village of Staithes where we park our van for the night. The next morning we head to the gorgeous village of Runswick Bay and then on to Robin Hood's Bay which is our final location for this short weekend away. This stretch of coastline has some of the most beautiful villages in England so we will definitely try and return to show you more!

What a lovely video of the Yorkshire coast! I will be visiting later this year for the first time, and the beautiful images you share makes me even more happy to know that I finally am going to see the area where my ancestors lived. You have such a calm and peaceful manner, even when you ended up drenched at the end of the day, and your eye for the simple, gorgeous sights, is so relaxing, that I could sit and listen and watch your channel for hours! You have that sensitive fair skin like I do !!! Never leave your skin showing to the sun!! Sunburns hurt terribly and you can get sun poisoning!! Wear a sun hat and sunscreen that's paba-free! Put it on Heidi, too!! Even an overcast day will fry all of you!! It will make you age before your time and you do not want skin cancers! Never go to the beach in Charleston ( I live in Mobile,Al)or anywhere without long thin sleeves and cover the back of your neck ! Americane is great for sunburn pain ... I could tell you so much more.... I love these trips!! Thank you & your family for taking me along!
Like a fairyland of stone and roses! The perfume must have been incredible! Love how you manage to find the quiet, out of the way, secret vistas that are so intimate and utterly magical!
It smelt divine! Everywhere you wandered you could smell the scent of roses in the air 🥰 I’m always seeking out the hidden gems! I much prefer quiet places that are tucked away than towns and cities. Happy Sunday!

I`ve been practically everywhere there is to go in the Yorkshire Ridings - many times over. You must come along and visit. It is not so far away from the `States, unless of course you live in Hawaii or Alaska.

I often forget just how many beautiful places we have here in the U.K. and how they are often overlooked for hotter climates, i for one would much rather meander around our gorgeous villages, woodland, dramatic coastline and stunning countryside not to mention our stately homes castles cathedrals ancient churches, summer fates, markets, antique shops any day. Sitting in a little coffee shop whatever the weather and watching the world go by is sheer bliss to me ❤
In love with your videos, your adorable daughter, and learning more about England. It has been my start, first contact with English history and many written books. A very enchanting level in history and many locations beauty. Really enjoining how you present all the places and the many views of English gorgeous areas...flowers...roses...construction stile having been captured and taking me back to many of the descriptions in written stories and movies made using the historical locations ....and you have such a nice smiling loving face as you present your video history....just loving it all ❤😊

My grandfather was born in Yorkshire- wish I knew where. He never talked about his early life there (I suspect he was mining). I only recently (last 3 yrs) discovered how beautiful Yorkshire is.

The North Yorkshire Coast is shown to have lovely villages to visit in summer. What lovely plantings!
There are some absolutely wonderful villages around this stretch of coastline, especially in the summer months when all the flowers are in bloom and bring the narrow lanes alive 🥰

I just LOVE how quiet the villages are!! We Homestead in the Adirondack mountains, so you'd think it would be quiet, but it seems everyone must have a motorcycle or ATV, lol. Anyway, that was lovely, thank you!
Runswick bay is usually busier down by the beach but very quiet up around the houses - just how I like it 🥰 Robin Hoods Bay we were lucky and managed to catch on a quiet day as that’s usually a very busy place, it’s really popular in summer ☺️ The place you live looks stunning! It looks like you get some good autumnal colour?
We definitely do!! Its a wonderful place to farm, the year round community is terrific and the weather is fun lol. Really enjoyed your tour!

Is it too cold to swim at these beaches?
Depends on your tolerances 😅 they’re not warm but plenty of people enjoy swimming in them, especially on a hot summers day like we’ve had lately ☺️
