  • Take a look on how to get from Sydney Airport to City center (the cheapest way). Covers both bus & train (from specific station) for a total of less than $6 only compare to taking a direct train from the airport which will cost you total of $19 that include an airport train toll fee. If there are more than 1 of you it’s just as cheap to taxi or Uber to the CBD
    The airport station is owned by Macquarie Bank and they charge a lot
    The bus is obviously cheaper but far less cost especially with luggage

      yeah ur right..since the airport station is privately owned that makes the cost of train gets higher.

    Thank you very much for the video! I'll be travelling to Sydney soon and was thinking about doing this to avoid the airport fee, but wasn't confident doing so.

      @@welthewanderthanks! I just had two problems, that other users might have as well. First it seems the bus to Maskot station does not pass on Saturdays, it only goes to the Domestic Airport (and from there, it is possible to take another bus, like 350). And the other is that there are buses going in both directions in the international airport bus stop, so it's important to look the number and also the direction of each bus. But in the end I made it! o/ thanks again

      @@kylietam8959I'm not sure but I bet it's the same as Saturday (420 to domestic airport and 350 to Maskot station)

    Hi there. I believe there’s a capped limit to the daily opal card travel expenditure yes? Does taking the airport train straight to CBD includes in the daily cap or is it a separate fee? As tourists who will most likely use the opal card often to travel, will it be easier to hit the daily capped limit via airport train then the rest of our day travels within CBD/manly/bondi will technically be nulled? Hope this question makes sense 😅

    Thank you for your video, but I have a doubt that does the bus 420 from airport to mascot station is terminal to terminal? If not, how can I know I have arrived the station? It is because I may miss to see the station name when I have arrived.

      I recommend using Google maps or asking the driver or someone else. It is not a terminal in maskot station, so there are no signs unfortunately.

    how do we pay for the bus and train? need to purchase a card in the airport?

    • @welthewander
      @welthewander  Před 5 měsíci

      you can pay via opal card which you can purchase at the airport. other option is your credit card, you can use them to pay instantly via top-up in almost everything in Australia.
