  • Do you know all of the rules in Floorball? There are rules where they fall in vague and grey areas. This video sets out to clear out 5 Floorball Rules that you might not even know of. Test your knowledge as we go through 5 different situations where many players and coaches at times puzzled about.
I have the privilege of having Coach Shairazi to collaborate with me in this video. He is also one of Singapore's most promising referees around, which I have seen it personally! As proven in the video, he could even quote IFF"s referee notebook to justify his stand on some of the rules that we are discussing. Amazing!
The 5 rules in contention are:
    1) Only Captain of a team can speak to referee?
    2) Can Referee send off (Red Card) a player even after a game?
    3) Who gets the right of choice during Face off?
    4) Does heading of the ball gets you 2 mins penalty?
    5) What considers as a high stick offence?
Do drop questions in the comments sections, or views that you may have, or even stories of incidents that you might encounter before to share with everyone. I look forward to it.

It's actually okay for players to talk to the referee, as long as it's respectful and not in an official capacity or just to complain. Also, when the Face-off is on the center line, the away team chooses the side, but in the two corner face-off dots, the DEFENDING team chooses which side to place their stick. (Rule 502.5)

Yup totally agree on the 2 points... On the 1st point, it was in the view more from the referee where according to the rule book, only captain can "officially" speak to the referee.
Great additional point on the face off taken at the corners!

fantastic. I'm from singapore and for us asian, we have plenty to learn over in this region. Do add on any other rules that has "grey areas" you have encountered before.
