I love the way you describe these fragrances. It really helps me imagine what it could smell like. I’m quite gothic and dark and I’ve always wanted a seductive, dark, intriguing and dangerous scent to wear to really tie together my style. I feel like a good perfume really helps put a bow on top of your ambiance and style. That’s maybe sounds kinda pretentious but you get what I mean

I honestly found a huge appreciation for "perfuming" after seeing the movie perfume. I had no idea how much goes into creating a perfume. It truly is an art form that most people (myself included) are ignorant about. Btw I love how you are able to instantly developer entire worlds with intricate characters by smelling scents.

The most vampiric scent I’ve found so far is Kashnoir, by Laboratorio Olfattivo. It’s described by “Narcotics flowers, psychotropic herbs and haunted spices are the main ingredients of Kashnoir, the eleventh fragrance of Laboratorio Olfattivo, created after embarking on a long journey in search of the most forbidden and mysterious East”. I’m so curious what scenario you would create for this, I simply adore the way you explain scents 😃
I wonder how you guys would classify Man in Black by Bvlgari. It's absolutely sedative-narcotics in a bottle. It's like, an opium den ran by an immortal. I can't explain it. It just smells so good and so dark and mysterious.

I love everything Gothic and Dark. I've been into that style since I was like 13 years old. I'll suggest you my "sexy dark and mysterious" perfume: Ange ou Demon (EDP)

Alien essence absolue is a dark sensual ambery vanilla fragrance to me. When I first got it, I wore it all fall and winter. Heavenly!

I have a couple of fragrances that might be considered vampire scents. Franck Olivier Black Touch is often compared to Terre D'Hermes, but I feel it's less citrus and more dark, inky vetiver, cedar, and musk. The other is Van Cleef & Arpels Bois Doré, which has that Play-Doh/doll head nuance, but is a bit darker. Has almond, tobacco, mineral notes, teak wood, cedar, and vanilla. Honestly, Bois Doré might be the most beautiful fragrance in my collection. I love it!
Also, just to let you know, nagarmotha is another name for cypriol. You're right, it typically comes from India. It smells a bit like vetiver. Very close to Haitian vetiver, actually. Not so much like the Java vetiver, which is smoky and almost has a roasted coffee nuance. Sorry, I like to geek out about materials because I'm a perfumer.

Super random, but if you're into Vampire books right now, give a try to Sunshine, by Robin McKinley. The best vampire novel after "Dracula", in my opinion! It's written in stream of consciousness format so it take some getting used to but once you're hooked, you won't be able to put it down! 💗

I recently got a sample of Bloodflower by Parfums Quartana and Jesus Christ...
It has a blood accord and seriously smells like savory salty metallic blood. The opening is a bright and sweet anise but gets dark and bloody. It’s terrifyingly realistic lmaoo.
For me I would choose Black Phantom. Deep and rich dark chocolate with caramel makes you wanna just get sucked into someone’s presence and there’s an actual “cyanide” accord which is bitter almond. It’s so gorgeous. Very boozy as well.

I agree about the "doll smell" in hypnotic poison edp! It's very noticeable at first, not so much on the dry down...almost sure it's the liquorice -not a fan-. Otherwise, great perfume
I’ve been wearing lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker and it’s an elegant soft fragrance nothing intimidating or deep and intense about it, so a completely non threatening perfume. BUT I have been watching haunting of hill house and haunting of Bly manor and geeking out over it with family and friends and now we all sorta associate SJP lovely with ghosts. Like pretty ghosts? So now to me that is a girly creepy fragrance that gives an elegant ghost lady vibe. It’s interesting sometimes because it’s not the fragrance but the memory associated with it. So now anytime I wear that, people say “oh ghost lady perfume” 😂

I have been all over the world trying new and old fragrances and have done my extensive research, but nothing comes close to Jasmine Noir in magnetism, raw sex appeal, sophistication, and mysterious darkness. This was my signature perfume. It's pure power. The ultimate vampress in nature. Very underrated but oh so sexy. Unfortunately, is has been discontinued for a while now... I hope I find another like it.

ive been using diamant by rammstein for ages now and while it is a nice perfume, i just got into goth music and started changing up my aesthetic to romantic goth and i desperately want a scent that fits the whole vibe so thanks for these recommendations :))

Amouage Opus X belongs here, the opening is roses and greenery but on the dry down it’s such a great blend of different roses, wood varnish, amber, leather and a metallic/blood accord. Its supposed to be based on the movie The Red Violin, nothing to do with vampires lol but I mean roses and blood, come on.

Please please please do a review on the new R.E.M. fragrance by Ariana!!! I'm so intrigued because it is supposed to be a lavender fragrance and I'm high key obsessed with lavender 😍 if you can test it out for a few days, throw in longevity remarks too!

MrunaalJ oooh I have both and it’s hard to say which is my favourite R.E.M to me is such strong lavender and I’m a sucker for lavender I use it as a sleep scent or after shower scent. It’s so calming. Cloud is good for this time of year since it’s so sweet. I love gourmands too. Cloud is a kind of gourmand you can wear year round though if you like sweet scents. I have all of her fragrances so I like to layer them. I’d recommend you get both cloud and r.e.m because you can layer them and make a sweet marshmallow lavender bomb type of scent kind of like the twilight bath bomb by lush if you’ve ever smelt that. Cloud is very very popular and a lot of people coin it as unisex? But to me it leans very feminine. I’d say of the two r.e.m is more of a spot on unisex fragrance. The initial spray of cloud smells expensive the dry down is where it starts to smell like the standard celeb fragrance. R.e.m smells similar in both dry down and initial spray at least on my skin. Cloud lasts longer on skin. Both however last for days and days when sprayed on clothes. I hope that was helpful I’d honestly say get both because when you layer them TRUST ME it’s amazing same with thank u next I’ve layered cloud with thank u next and the sillage was so strong I got compliments from people standing so far away same with when I’ve layered cloud with r.e.m tbh cloud is good to layer with most things I even layered with Carolina Herrera good girl and it became a sexy soft scent. I’d say definitely get both r.e.m and cloud if you can if you can only afford one I’d say start with cloud it’s the most versatile of the two. 💜

@@graced.6711 Thank U next is such a great scent too. Its a holiday scent but not really at the same time you can get away with it whenever. Id describe it as a sugared pastry crossed with a tropical fruit cocktail. Like if an apple pie or apple strudel had a guava coconut filling instead. Its definitely the sweetest of the three. Its also the one that gets the most compliments of the three from what ive tested. The three latest flankers Thank U next, Cloud, and R.E.M are more mature than her previous releases. (Ari, Sweet like candy, and Moonlight) All give different moods and can be worn for different occasions. But since you asked about the latest three, id say get all three. Thank U next for when you feel sexy and flirty and you want to grab attention of some cutie you just met. Cloud is very cosy but perfect for any occasion its the most neutral of the three and easy to blend and mix with a lot of things. It adds a creamy tone to anything you layer it with and gives it a lightness, you can use it to tone down fragrances you think are too POW IN YOUR FACE it adds a sweet creamy subtlety to any fragrance. R.E.M is NOTHING like the rest. Ariana is known for making all her fragrances somehow sweet. She has taken a completely different route for R.E.M definitely the most masculine leaning one. Its such a sharp lavender and its so calming. Wear this one when you want to destress after a hard day, or when you just want to feel in control. Good luck on getting them. You definitely won’t regret it, even if you just start with one. 💜
