It’s 2022 and Microsoft can’t even put rechargeable batteries in their controllers 💀
Bro her fans choose to have no battries
i have cancer and my mom gives me a xbox series s with this controller :)
They would lose money

THANK YOU SO much my respect goes to you 😃
Changing batteries all the time makes me wanna go back to PlayStation
just swap the ones included for rechargable batteries instead that have a high mah rating. you can also charge them using an xbox charging dock so you don't need to take the batteries out, but you need to get the right dock for the correct model of controller
Thank you so much for this video! It cleared my doubts. (was wondering about charging before placing my order)
It doesn't charge the AA batteries even if u use rechargeable batteries
Same
Thanks so much for the vídeo You clared my doubts,no are so much videos explaining how Charge the Xbox series s controler
Good video , is it so hard for Microsoft to add a cable inside the box.
Thanks thank you you helped me buddy (was kinda worried trying to play without charging)
Note the wire does not charge the controller it just powers it
Hello Is there any problem in using this method in the long run that I should worry about?

Good info on the cable not charging the batteries and that it can be powered wired with no batteries. The cable doesnt charge the controller just powers it. Only the batteries and power charger are actually receiving the current. Cheers buddy. Just ordered mine yayyyy!!!!

Hey bro... If i just power the controller by connecting it to the pc, can i still play with it...?
yes @@simranjeetsingh5748
Thank you because I thought I was stupid
same😂
Lol that’s so funny
Yeah you probably are
Nice video. Explained each thing clearly. 👍
Turns out I was just confused by the tabs because all the TV remotes I’ve seen have had the springs or tab on opposite sides so when I saw them on the same side I assumed the battery just went with it
Hey there, This is a really hepful video. My question is does the last method harm the controller anyway? is it safe?
Am considering a Series S as a supplement to my PS5. Wow, I can’t believe you still have to put batteries into a controller in 2022. Thanks for the explanation though, very informative video 👍
You can choose a Xbox rechargable battery 🔋 It gives consumers the capacity to have a choice
Great video ta!!
the only issue I noticed with these new controller is that the USB C cable doesn't have a light like on the xbox one X controller cable, so you cannot know exactly when it is charge, but from my experience if the battery pack was dead 3 hours and half will charge to it's maximum , cos when I paired it to my Mac I can see the battery % . so weird they didn't include a LED on the charging cable or even a blinking light on the controller when it's full option...
Just wondering, can you use a phone charging cable and charge the controller that way? Even when the charger is connected to an outlet?
Yes
That’s Funny You Mentioned It Will Work/Turn on Without Any Batteries In The Controller. I’ve Never Known Anyone Else To Say That Or Even Know About That. But I Have A Question I Have The Same Controller & Can’t Ever Get The Controller To Light Up When I Have The Battery Pack In The Controller & Controller Plugged In So Is There Something I Have To Change Or Do In The Settings For It Ti Light Up When It’s Charging?
hey thanks for this video but i have a question that you did not answer on video. i have a xbox serie s controller and i play with my laptop. what is the best way to charge the batteries? can you recommend me the best way or adapter for charging them. thank you again for your useful contents.
Rechargeable batteries would I say, easier and waaaayyy cheaper.
means the rechargeable batteries can be charged directly to the y controller via usb c cable? :o
It's 2024 and Microsoft can't even put rechargable batteries in their controllers 💀💀💀
Fr😂
Does the controler and xbox need be on both to charge the controler
I used to have a battery pack that worked amazing, usually the time to 100% battery on the controller was 30 minutes. But one day it wouldnt charge anymore and when i used the battery my controller turned on, so sadly i started using my fast chargers as a replacement
Cable doesn't charge the controller as there is no battery in it. So it just powers it.
So you need to choose between playing all the time with the cable or using rechargeable batteries. Am I right?
Thanks bro
If you charger the controller does it charge the Xbox 360 batteries?
Thank you
My mouse and controller both take AA batteries as does my portable radio. I have more than enough Duracell rechargeable AA batteries to always have a fresh set at the ready. My radio uses 4 and my mouse and controller use 2 each. I bought 4 packs of 4 batteries. They were fairly cheap which surprised me. The rechargeable batteries won't work in some clocks on most flashlights because they are too fat to fit the compartment.
im incredibly stupid just got my first Xbox controller. I was using it with the batteries it came and thought they are rechargeable..
From an 11 years old kid that is home alone , THANK YOU!
I am grateful
Does the usb c cable have to be connected to the console or can it just be straight from the outlet?
Both
Xbox recommends use LR6 batteries only. Is it really that important?
Thanks
so you cannot do it with duracell bateries?
The rechargeable battery pack should come with it.
Hello, great video, just one question, does the controller have a built in battery? Because why would you else put the cable in and charge the controller?
Like if the rechargeable batteries died can you charge the controller anyways wihtout charging them or do you have to use the cable the whole playtime?
No built in battery. The cable just powers it while it's plugged into it. This controller needs batteries which is really hard to believe.
@@xKarenWalkerx Okay, thank you very much
That is not the problem I have a new usb c charger I plug it in into the back into my Xbox my controller turns on but my controller does not charge
you need rechargeable batteries
How do you even charge the batteries?
Why the type c input usb if you cant use it for charging?
so you can play using a cable, instead of wirelessly. gamepad connected up wired is usually better for response times and most of all you don't have to worry about batteries losing power and signal loss in the middle of a game
Cargar las pilas recargables AA, a través del control conectado a la consola será igual que con el cargador de baterías de pared? O afectará cargarlo así?
Te sacaste la duda bro? Me preguntaba lo mismo jajajajajaja
How long do I have to charge it for?
Sir plz tell can i use usb cable in my xbox one s controler without batteries????
That's bad
Tysm
Yeah I was doing this then mid game all of a sudden controller died, I’ll change batteries still won’t turn on I’ll unplug usb c still won’t turn on glad I ruined my controller 😿
THank u
I connect my controller to my console and it doesnt appear to charge, like in the top right part of the screen i believe it showed a sign of it charging but then i didnt see it again,my friend just told me to buy some regular double a batteries and thats it,but i wonder if connecting it actually charges it
Doing it that way (from the comments on here) it would appear to just power the controller for you to play wired - but does not charge anything.
I got same Xbox control my not working how u fix
airpods max gaming test
wired and wireless
They could legit fit a battery in the space we have to put batteries 💀
Mine won’t even turn on
Just bought one of these controllers and im absolutely stunned that Xbox couldn't make a recharge controller. It's beyond me that it weighs so much and doesn't have a basic recharge circuit built in. Crap really.
You can buy a battery pack, then connect the USB-C cable and it'll recharge
@@Saunderverse I know. Taking the full cost I would pay for a basic Xbox controller to £74:99. Again.....crap really
Is it safe to use the controller plugged in to the Xbox (without batteries ) ? Is it bad for xbox and for the controller ?
Perfectly safe for both
@@Saunderverse damn that was fast , thanks mate 🍻
@@Saunderverse can I connect the controller wired and without bluetooth?
Any one else struggling to plug the battery packs in and take out lol
Why is it that every second-hand Xbox I have bought the thumb sticks? Always have white stuff in the cracks. I've owned to Xboxes within this week and both controllers have the same white stuff. Hope it's not what I think😂
will a ps5 charging cable work?
My controller just doesn’t turn on, even with new batteries and usb c
I swear Xbox controllers back battery plates be disappearing out of nowhere
mine is xbox series x when i put the charger it works and when i take off the charger it turns off, and it's brand new i bought it 2 hours ago
Cuz it don't charge, it powers it, so as long as your wired your good, (if your USB is2+ meters there's literally 0 reason to unplug l
My problem is I don't know which Xbox controller I have because I got it for Christmas I took it out of the box and the Box accidentally got threw away so now I don't know what I've got. I'm not an Xbox person I have a PlayStation but I got an Xbox controller for my PC.
xbox works better but is noisy. charges well
It would be perfect if the controller could charge aa batteries while plugged in.
And it as everything their to do that..... thats the crazy part
So the xbox doesn't charge any after market battery packs other than the official xbox one which costs as much as the whole controller?
An I assume the controller also doesn't say the battery percentage unless you have the official xbox battery?
Does this actually work
When I take out the charger the Xbox controller turns off
I did not know a Nintendo charger would work
Microsoft is stupid they made the controller with type-c input but it do not charge the battery do not charge rechargeable battery. They did not put a type c chargeable input the corporation is slow very slow?
it doesn't charge the battery becasue they aren't built in like the ps5 is... If the PS5 battery goes bad you have to buy a new controller unless you know how to take it a part without breaking it and buying a new battery to put in it... Xbox gives you more options and you don't have to worry about having to taking it apart to replace the battery. rechargeable batteries also last longer and only take seconds to replace with no need of cables plugged into the controller.
@@Spartan_83 My PS4 controller is more than 8 years old and it’s still working just fine, battery is still fine😂 I even threw them around because of fps games😂. What makes you think that the next gen controllers like the ps5 can’t last longer than that? How long do you need your controllers to last? 100 years?😂
@@muizyzz480 it's just how batteries work my guy you can look it lol and I never said it would just stop working.
batteries tend to degrade over time, and some of them degrade so harshly that they can fail to hold a charge for more than an hour and it all depends on how often you charge your controller or how long you keep it plugged in it's also recommended to not charge your controller to 100% even new Samsung phones have a feature to not charge the battery past 85% so they last longer.
The last option is the best the best option like who still uses battery in this day and age? I don't even know where to throw them anymore.
With the last option after sometime can you remove the cable will it still work ?,
Like does the controller get somewhat charged after connecting with cable for sometime.
Pls reply if u could as i am planning to buy one
@@mohamedazman5791 only if you have xbox reachable battery
@@mohamedazman5791 I use with the cable plugged in now after the battery died on me. Shiit didn't even last 4 hours, seriously someone should get fired for this.
@Guled so after we remove the cable it wont have any charge ?
@@mohamedazman5791 Yeah the shiit does not charge if you remove the cable meaning if you want the controller to be connected to the xbox it needs to be plugged in unbelievable Microsoft put this out 2022 or 2020 what ever year is was. Had it come out 10 years ago I would still have complained today it's unacceptable
So can you use xbox series s controller wired even if there is no battery?
yeah!! of course .
@@ll3yWanTeD Yeah man just got my Series S last week!
Let's hope the next Xbox controller will be batteryless. Cause Sony did this with their DualShock 3 14 years before Xbox series released, but Microsoft still has some problems with finally making their controller rechargeable. The only thing they did since 2005 is removing this bulky battery case Xbox 360 controller had. And the fact that they include a Type-C port, but make it useful only for wired connection is just ridiculous
Tl dr: batteries ran out used a one plus charger it seems it charged a few minutes later it went to the warning low batteries.
Just gonna charging it as its supposed to be
For some reason I ran out of batteries playing rocket league so I plugged the controller to my one plus warp charger and well the icon on my Xbox showed the icon of the battery increase a little but when I unplugged for a few minutes the batteries started to ran out again, I was curious to know if the Xbox charged the batteries or not but I'm not risking I just bought this a month ago.
same
Dats why I always say Play station 🚉 much better den Xbox
What a waste they need to fix that problem
Bro I thought I was stupid and didn’t know how to charge it
This is why PlayStation is better we can just plug and play we never have to worry about batteries 💀
Nah bro difference is with Xbox in 10 years time if my rechargable batteries are not holding a charge I can get new ones. With PlayStation you can't swap out the batteries, but instead gotta get a whole new controller
Sorry but this is why PS is worse you have fewer options and the PS5 control coast more than the SX/S controller.
You push the cable in a bit to fast or hard and it's bye bye trolly lmao
