brO THIS FILM WAS MY WHOLE CHILDHOOD
I REWATCHED IT RECENTLY AND FREAKING CRIED
THERE ARE SO MANY IMPORTANT REPRESENTATIONS AND LESSONS IN THIS MOVIE
1. The struggle a child can have having family issues such as divorce and bullying.
2. The value of kindness and mercy, even to someone you hate.
3. The importance of realising things are more than they seem. Linus bullies because he felt helpless.
4. That dreams can’t always come true, but once you become content with your reality, those dreams become real.
5. How kids in tough situations use escape and artistry as a coping mechanism, and can sometimes be unfairly teased for it.
6. How some people, even kids, struggle to know their identity, and fear being something they don’t want to be. Lavagirl couldnt figure our herself. She felt like she had no purpose. But then she discovered she had a purpose bigger than herself.
7. How the people we lose don’t come back ( shark boy’s dad ), but we can honour them by making our own goals and memories in life.

OH ALSO A LITTLE OFF TOPIC BUT MAX’S DAD IS THE ORIGINAL DAY DREAMER THATS HOW HE BROUGHT THE MOM BACK AND WHY HE ENCOURAGES MAX’S DREAMS
