THE PAIN is caused by Google doing what ever it was NOT doing for the last 10 years, the Dudes at MS and Open AI had a pathway to Market, focused and produced a product, that's the diff, Google is too big, its needs to break out SEARCH and other stuff, its going up its own BUM in a monopoly position, unbelievable really, but kind of normal in economic history, like KODAK inventing the digital camera and missing the bus, Google has done the same with AI.
If layoffs have to be done then the upper management and CEO itself should be fired bcz they are responsible for mismanagement within the company and responsibile for irresponsible highering at the first place.
It's not because of mismanagement. It was a decade long trend which needed to be changed for good
