My friend was helping me load my car, and was waiting impatiently for me to unlock the doors... I'm like... there is no fob, you'll have to wait for me to get there with the key, lol
as a tech who has to deal with some uconnect controlled vehicles from time to time... just love what happens when you replace their dual battery setup... a full disconnect will shut down reverse camera and tilt mirrors in curb mode for days till uconnect configures itself on it's own... and if it's cloudy crap weather won't connect at all till clear

Then when something in the engine or transmission actually fails most wonder why. Time and time again I’ve seen it thousands of times. And when it ended up in my heavy line bay the cost was going to be expensive 🙃

Did this to my car and the car sent out a call to 911 and reported itself as stolen. Now I am stuck trying to explain to the courts that I saw this on CZcams.
Actually a chevy cruize infotainment has this as well, but you have to tap the top right corner of the screen 10 times in under 5 seconds and it takes you into developer mode
That's probably for a scenario where the radio unit needs to be replaced and they're going to transfer your user data over to the new one so you don't have to upload all of your stuff again, program your stations, and all that noise. Which frankly, I would never use. Because chances are if the radio was corrupted, it was something introduced from outside. At least that was the case when the manufacturer I work for introduced the ability to upload MP3s into their sound systems - people would pirate their music from sketchy sites and the bad files would brick their radios. So I wouldn't want to take any data out of the old radio to transfer over to the new and risk killing it. But that was the theory behind the 'copy use data' feature.
And for the 12in screen people, touch left and right bottom corners of the screen without pushing a app and hold it. Dealer mode, there's a lot of information in there you might want to look at.

The only useful information I’ve ever pulled from dealer mode was a software level. Now there is a text file that can be downloaded from the radio which you can find a specific line of corrupted code which is a precursor to a radio locking up during a software update and bricking your radio.
Not using it , is more likely to cause issues than using it all the time .. but hey what do I known, I’m just a technician , that replaces ac parts daily lol

I have an original 1930 Maytag that's still working fine, no rust. It has a gear shift lever for neutral, wash gear and roller engagement. Our modern washer we replace about every 10 years, after a couple repairs by then. @@RemoteCamper
