😄😄😄 same in Finland!
Hahaha man får ställa ett larm på dom 10 sekunder per dag man har på sig
Same in the netherlands!!!! 😢 I can't
This is, hands down, one of the most helpful how-to videos I’ve ever come across. Thank you so much for the tips!
Yeah! I completely agree lots of helpful tips included 🙂
Yes really helpful
Yeah
Another tip to get your notebook page to lay flat; tape a coin to the back of the page, it will make the page heavy enough to sit flat.
This is so helpful! I never would of thought to use a sketchbook to bounce light, and using the glass to keep things flat is a brilliant idea. Thank you!
Me too
Some good tips. Depends on the smartphone you have. Zooming normally results in a less crisp image because it's interpolating the pixels.
It is best to take the photo and then crop, this way the photo captures all off the data, and then you remove what you don't need. It is best to not zoom when taking, crop when processing.
Yeah I usually prefer to take the picture close as possible while making sure I’m not casting any shadows over it and then cropping the image afterwards if necessary. It’s also a bit easier than trying to take a perfect picture o the first try
I found this on Google and this is literally the best how to I could find. Very clear instructions and easy fixes. I'm ready to photograph
Glad it helped!
The vibes of this video are immaculate, I can't describe it, but I just feel safe and warm and calm. Thank you for this.
This video has been so helpful. I have shared it with my high school art students who are virtual. I have told them that their photograph IS their artwork while they are virtual as I may never see the original. This has been very helpful for them. Thank you!
Great video and extremely helpful! Here's one more tip for Galaxy users. Instead of setting the timer, you can actually use your voice to take pictures. It's a setting on the camera...you can say 'cheese' or 'shoot' and it automatically takes the picture for you!
THANK YOU! Great tip!
Great art photograpy tips from this wonderful young woman! Thank you!❤
I appreciate that crop part and extra lighting! Thanks for sharing!!📱🖼
Thanks for explaining it so clearly 😊. I am a watercolor artist but taking pictures of my paintings is completely out of my comfort zone. This helps, thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
This is one of the best vids about this subject.
- If you have one strong light source, probably you want it on the upper left, with the shadows going to the right and below.
- you can play with the hight of the glass plate, it does not need to rest on the book. For instance you can use lego blocks to alter the hight.
the picture timer ends up making me more nervous and shaky. 😂😂😥
I'm the same! x'D Even if I hold my breath back, it just doesn't work for me.
Haha! Right
The bouncing of the light is exactly what I need! I hate when the pens I use as props cast shadows hahaha thanks!
Thank you. The sketchbook reflected light is so smart!, just how a professional would use the white umbrella things... the three second timer is new for me too. Great post!
same
Thanks for these tips! I’ve been struggling with how my drawings look worse when photographed that it’s hard to edit them digitally but doing these things really made the photos so much better :D
This was really helpful! Thank you for making and sharing it! You taught me several techniques and I have been photographing my sketchbooks for years.

That glass technique is incredible!!! I always procrastinate in photographing my work especially after stream because I want to use my DSLR and set up my lighting. I'll use your techniques for my works! Thanks for the video 😊
Extremely informative - clear and easy to follow. Thank you for making this and sharing.
That bounce lighting trick changes everything! I can’t believe I didn’t think of that 😆 thank you!!
thank you for making this video! i'd figured out a few of these tips on my own over the years, but i never would have thought of using a sketchbook to minimize shadows or using a piece of glass to keep my sketchbook flat. also the three second delay on the camera shutter is super useful, i always struggle with holding my phone still when photographing my art!
Most adorable hands ever!!! (Which I know is apropos of nothing in this video but I couldn't help but notice...)
Reminds me of Yoshikage kira
This definitely was SUPER helpful! Thank you!

Thanks for yhis😊very helpful!❤
Something I do for pages that don’t like to lie flat: use temporary adhesive. I’ve got a tape runner that’s just temporary and I run it between the page I want to take a picture of and the best one. Usually that’s enough to keep it flat - and if not, I just stick the next two pages together as well :D (you can just rub off the adhesive once you’re done ;) )
Thank you!
Thank you, I have benefited from you a lot 🇵🇸
Thanks for sharing
