- Three brand new Wainwrights for me and my fellow CZcamsr @ashleyjarnold on a wet and misty day in the Lake District. The early morning rain gave way to more mist, which covered the first two Fells but cleared to give superb views down into the valley, all the way to Windermere, on the last summit of the day, Troutbeck Tongue. A 12 mile loop in at times challenging conditions but nothing could stop a great days hiking and great crack all along the way.

Greetings from your friends in Naples, Florida. Wet and misty, indeed. Such beautiful views, though, as always. We enjoyed our visit. Thanks for sharing, have a great weekend. 💯
Been the story of the whole of July with more to come next month apparently - bring back the summer lol. To be fair it did improve as the day went on as at least we got a great view down the valley on the last summit of the day. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Beautiful country. I like the rock walls along the trail. The overcast skies added to the hike. Amazing to see cows off the trail. Any day on the trail is a fantastic day. Thanks for sharing the hike with us.
Glad you enjoyed it Carroll and real pleased the mist lifted for the last summit giving us such fantastic views down to Windermere. When I first pulled up in the car and saw the rain and the mist, I thought oh no but we ended up having a real good day. Thanks so much for stopping by, cheers Alan
Green meadows are simply breathtaking, what a atmosphere! Colors are just gorgeous, as always such a unique location! 👏👏
Thank so much for watching and initially not the day we were hoping for but the weather got better, which really listed out spirits, cheers Alan
It was a bit misty and murky at the start but...wow, when the mist cleared the colours and views just popped! In answer to your question, yes - it was definitely worth it! Congratulations to the three of you on completing the hike...and not getting caught by the electric fence! Another fabulous video, Alan ❤ Thanks for bringing us along with you 🤗🤗
Thanks so much for stopping by and so pleased the mist listed and the rain stopped as the weather was awful when I first pulled up. Not keen on that electric fence but I was more concerned about the cows and particularly the bull in field - yikkes! Cheers Alan
It was lovely to see you out there with Ashley and Andrea. Typical British weather. I've really enjoyed this, Alan. For some reason, the CZcams algorithm unsubscribed me, but I'm back again with notifications on. I'm looking forward to catching up on the backlog. Thanks for sharing, Alan. Have a great weekend.
Glad you enjoyed it Chris and been there before, one of my favourite channels stopped putting out videos but when I check I was unsubscribed, still don't know how it happened. Really nice to be out with Ash and Andrea again and thankfully the weather got better the more the day went on, cheers Alan
Another great hike with Ashley Alan😊👍. We always feel tired just watching you two!🤣. Nice to do some new fells, we haven't been up any of these, so a few more going on the list👍. Real shame about the mist rolling in on the first two summits, but at least it was good to hone your navigating skills😊👌. Very good point about always having your maps downloaded. Glad at least the third summit view saved the day. Defo worth it for our vote😊👌. Thanks very much for taking us along as always,
Shell and Pete😊👊👍
Appreciate you stopping by and I was more than happy to get that last summit in all clear as that's the one I knew was the best and it sure was. When I first pulled up in the morning you could not see a thing and the rain was hammering down - so so pleased that it cleared up lol, cheers Alan
Another blustery day for you. Great to see you out having a great time enjoying the scenery. It is a beautiful area with fantastic views. Well worth hiking this trail. Fun to see you out on a meetup too. Looked like you all had a wonderful time. Take care and have a nice day.
It is always nice to meet up with them again, something we have been doing for the last 3 years every time they are over here on holiday. The weather was awful when I got there but thankfully got better as the day went on. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Beautiful place very great views and green atmosphere. Thanks for sharing your video friend
Thanks for visiting, real nice of you to stop by and take the time to leave a comment, very much appreciated, cheers Alan
View from the tongue was fabulous, Alan! Nothing like a good wander to blow the cobwebs of the week away!! Cheers for taking us along :)
Glad you enjoyed it and thanks so much for watching, good of you. Yes that last summit view was something special and made all the rain and mist walking worth it, cheers Alan
Hi Alan, great to see you out with Ashley and Andrea again. You may not have got the weather initially but thats the lakes and still a great watch as usual, you always keep smiling and have a laugh which comes across. Stunning scenary as the walk went along, wonderful colours and filming. You are clocking up the miles mate in a short space of time which is really impressive and your fell fitness must be well up there. Great watch as usual Alan
Thanks for stopping by and yes, the weather was not the best and I actually filmed this about 6 weeks ago and not going to post it was I did not think the footage would be much good but turned out not too bad, cheers Alan
I believe the view was definitely worth it. Radiation is done and I’m feeling better each day. Cheers to to ya good sir.🤙
That's brilliant news and hopefully that daily improvement will keep on continuing. Take care and thanks so much for stopping by, cheers Alan
Ooo Alan that looked damp ! The church was lovely and nice that you are out with Ashley and Andrea . The rain did make all of the colours of the grass stand out nicely :) Hehe I like your theory of keeping the sunglasses on 🤭 I always carry sunglasses , a brolley and a baseball cap just in case ! Even in the mist though it looked so nice and we saw some lovely views and there were gorgeous colours around. Grey and wet to start with but definitely worth doing! Looking forward to the 10 fells next time 😃👍~ Anna
This was filmed last month and I put up the Kentmere Horseshoe video before this one, last month due to the bad weather but when I looked at the footage it was not too bad, so real happy with it now. My heart sank when I pulled up next to the church as it was bucketing it down and you could hardly see anything due to the mist, so real pleased the mist listed and the rain stopped lol. The final view was a real blessing and made the whole day worth it just for that. Thanks so much for watching, cheers Alan
What a beautiful place! Paradise! 🤗 Thank you so much for taking us along with you.
Glad you enjoyed it Kat and despite it being a bit gloomy when we first started we were blessed with a gorgeous summit view on the last one of the day, which made it all worthwhile. Thanks very much for watching. Take care, cheers Alan
Brave facing the weather...that is usually something that does me in too easily...pour Otis can't help his odour, but it can be rather "over-powering" when wet! LOL Loving the way the greens are just popping off the screen! Fun having the company of like-minded friends too. Wonderful adventuring! Bruce and Otis
The weather forecast was quite good but totally opposite when I first got there, it was awful lol. So pleased it cleared up for us in the end and we ended up having a great day out. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Great fun to hike with friends! And hopefully you all keep each other on the right path! I can see how one could get twisted around up on the fells in the fog! Nice that the rain cleared up - I bet the breeze felt amazing! 👌 12 miles is a great day! 🙌🙌 😄👍👍😎
When I first turned up early (to get a free park) the weather was horrible, could not see a thing and bucketing it down with rain. So pleased it cleared, especially for the third and final summit of the day, as that was the view we all wanted to see. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Hi Alan, loved this walk so pleased the rain stopped. Beautiful views from up on the hills. Looks very Misty out there. But lovely Misty views. It’s certainly a good job you have your maps and you know what you are doing. I think we would get lost😅, lovely views again on the walk down. Amazing at the top Alan. Looking forward to your next ten fells video. Be careful on the scramble down. Crikey electric ⚡️ fence , Loved your video x Julie and Tony x
Glad you enjoyed it and the weather weather was awful when I first arrived but thankfully it go better as the day progressed and we got a great view on the final summit of the day. This was actually filmed about 6 weeks ago so my 10 Fell Kentmere Horseshoe view is up and another great day out with Ash and Andrea. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Shame about the mist early on but what a view from Troutbeck Tongue. Must have been well worth it just for that. You're not half putting the miles in too. You must have a great engine Alan ha ha. High fives to all three of you. Well done
It was the final summit I really wanted to see so real pleased it cleared away for that and this was actually filmed mid July when I was getting in the miles and the hikes, not been much lately due to this awful weather :o( Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
I love your videos my great Brother friend Alan METALMAN. Excellent weather. In Vegas is very hot 🔥. Pure Vapor . More job in the rock music but the weather uff vapor vapor!!!
Thank you kindly and we could really use some heat here at the moment, just had the wettest July on record and August has started the same lol. Good of you to stop by, cheers Alan
Looks like it was definitely worth it for the views! Another beautiful adventure! Thank you for sharing it with us!
It was awful when I first pulled up but thankfully it cleared as the day went on and we got a great view from the last summit, which we knew was going to be the best of the lot. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Beautiful video Alan. What a wonderful hike with friends. Nice cool weather. Like hiking in the clouds and then amazing views of the valley. What a lovely day.
Glad you enjoyed it it and appreciate you stopping by,. The weather ended up okay in the end and we got a great view on the final summit of the day but man was it bleak when we first turned up, cheers Alan
Beautiful and amazing landscape of nature I lvove to watch this enjoy and have a great day
Thanks for visiting, really good of you and despite a wet start to the end, it ended in splendid style, cheers Alan
Neat they have ladders to climb. Very grey and misty for sure but so cool to have to find your way through it. Then bam, so beautiful views of the scenery 💜just love those hills! Looks like good company for you. Catching up Alan from the past few weeks. Much love and cheers💜
Thanks for watching and it is always great to meet up with friends again, we always have a great laugh and enjoy the day, no matter what the weather. Not the weather we were hoping for but we all still enjoyed the day, cheers Alan
Stunning views. Cool green meadows. Thanks for taking us along. Wonderful hike
Glad you enjoyed it and thank you for watching, real good of you. Wet and misty at the start but thankfully the mist lifted and the rain disappeared, cheers Alan
The valley views are very pretty..awesome green colors...Nice hike with a company no doubt in my mind...
Thanks for watching, appreciate it and so pleased it cleared up, as the weather was awful when I first pulled up. Ended up a great day and in great company too, cheers Alan
@@AlanMETALMAN Thank you too Alan..
Looked a great walk Alan. Glad it cleared up a bit. Awesome views. Enjoyed watching. Have a great week. Cheers 👍🏻. Watto.
Thanks very much and it ended up a great day in the end but man that weather was awful when I first pulled up lol. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Mist makes it into a proper adventure, Alan. You are right about the maps or any other downloaded back up. A few times I got lost in the mist and once in a blizzard. It could happen in bad weather even with good orienteerers. I love this overgrown furns at this time of the year.
The first summit of the day you could not see a thing, it was awful and the mist was well and truly down but thankfully it cleared away for the last one, which was the best view we got. Real good of you to stop by, cheers Alan
Such a great day out. Have a wonderful Sunday.
Thank you! You too! Not the best of weather but we ended up with the best of views. Thanks so much for stopping by, cheers Alan
Very beautiful scenes your tour dear friend ,I enjoyed it Very much new friend
Thanks very much for watching and taking the time to leave comment, really goof of you and very much appreciated, cheers Alan
Another METALMAN classic, well done to all three of you, a very good effort. Some lovely scenic views always with the hint of some rain. Have driven past that church so many times heading to and from the Kirkstone Pass but have never stopped to look around. Hopefully the next time I’m that way I’ll most certainly stop. No Q&A’s, that’s very disappointing 😡 Cheers Alan and I’m looking forward to your next adventure. Mike 👍🍺
Yes I must get back to the Q&A, although this was filmed 6 weeks ago now. I was disappointed with the weather so assumed the footage would not be very good but when I finally looked at it this week, turned out not too bad at all. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Hi Alan. A pretty standard day, weather wise for sumner 2023! I suppose the upside is that everything is lovely and green!👍😁
Absolutely and thankfully it brightened up as the day went over at it was absolutely dreadful when I first pulled up lol. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Looked a really nice misty walk , nice views in the end though , beautiful scenery , that 10 fell adventure sounds amazing, cracking video and hike mate , all the best 👍
Glad you enjoyed it Gaz mate and appreciate you stopping by buddy. Real pleased the weather improved on this one and the we did the Kentmere Horseshoe the following week, which I have already put up, as this was filmed last month, cheers Alan
Free parking again...😊......good to see Ashley and Andrea back out too.......cloudy but atmospheric Alan(to begin with)..........views opening right up(around 4m-15s). This looks like a walk that would suit my Mrs down to the ground, loved the views of all the green valleys...........you are really knocking off the Wainwrights at a rate Alan........and yes there were very few people throughout the whole walk, seems to be more and more cattle in the lakes in the past 5yrs or so..............just look at that blue sky coming through at the end, always take a look around churches, they are all beautiful in the lakes.........cheers mate................ATB...........Stu/Wendy..........hi to the Mrs.....👌👌👍👍
Thanks very much for watching Stu and I was over the moon to get (another) free park lol, although it was there at 07.00 to get it mind lol. The weather was awful when I first got there, so real pleased it cleared, especially for the last summit as that was the view down the valley to Windermere I really wanted to see. I hope you both are well, cheers Alan
@@AlanMETALMAN Cheers Alan...yes we are both good thank you.
You got the weather i usually get whenever i go to the lakes :) The views ended up being spectacular so well worth it, there is something awesome about the contrast between the lush vibrant greens of the landscape and the dark grey moody skies above. I prefer that to bright blue skies anyday of the week! Fantastic video as always, hope you have a great week, cheers from barnyz
Know what you mean and once the rain stopped and the mist stared to break up, it gave a real magical feel to the day. The last summit view was so nice, brilliant view down the valley to Windermere. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Great advice about not judging a fell just by its size!
Seen it so many times from people starting off, not sure what they are doing, so pick a small fell but a steep fell and unfortunately have a bad experience. Thanks very much for watching and taking the time to leave a comment, real nice of you and very much appreciated, cheers Alan
Man doing one of these is enough let alone three Alan 😂. When the mist cleared those views could be on a postcard. No easy task with all the steepness. Thanks for taking us along Brother! 🤘🏼
Real pleased the weather cleared up for the final summit of the day, as I knew this one had the best views down the valley. When I first pulled up and parked the weather was awful lol. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Haha, no views from that first hill. Glad the rain held off though when you got there. It's always so nice that you have other people who film there that you can go and do things with. Glad no one was shocked on the way back, lol
You got that right, especially with everything being so wet lol. To be fair the day ended up real nice and we got the view I was hoping for on the last summit of the day, down the valley into Windermere, I was happy with that. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
You were lucky to get parked there Alan...it was on our set run course when I was at school! Terrain I know very well, and the closest Wainwright's to home.
A great walk, and a good day out 👌
Thanks for sharing, cheers Alistair 👍
I think I was parked up at 07.00 Alistair, I was determined to get one of those free parks lol. Dam miserable when I first got there but to be fair the weather did improve and I loved that last summit view,. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Nice view and mybe it was the mist from Avalon that tried reach your area too. 😄
Great views again. And you do get your exercise for sure.
Have a great Sunday evening Alan and cheers
Thanks so much, real good of you to watch and it was a very mystical feel when we got onto the first summit and the rain stopped. The camera really lightens it up so much, it was really very hard to see but so pleased the view from the last summit was so good made up for the wet start to the day lol, cheers Alan
Fantastic day out hiking Alan and friends. Looks like you clocked up the miles on this one!
It was a tad over 12 miles and thankfully the conditions improved as the day went on, as it was miserable as sin when I first pulled up lol. Real good of you tp stop by, cheers Alan

Nice hike in not too good conditions. Similar to what we have had the last week. Take care 👍
Thanks, you too! The weather in July has been awful and more to come next month apparently - bring back summer! Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Hi Alan, yes damp morning spoiling the views on first two fells and then you all get your rewards on the third, nice quiet footpaths for a saturday in the lakes, if only us working class was in charge of the country eh, another 3 ticked off your list cheers nigel
Absolutely and to be honest, it was only the third summit that I really wanted to see, so real pleased the weather improved for that and we all got the view that we wanted. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Very nice video of some of the most remote Wainwright fells. Only done these once, and this video might just inspire me to get up that way again. Many thanks, Alan. Cheers!
Thanks very much for watching and I was real pleased it cleared for the last summit as I knew that was the one with the view I really wanted to see and it did not let me down, cheers Alan
Hi Alan. Cracking video mate. I had very similar conditions when I did Sour Howe and Sallows. Glad the weather eventually cleared up a little for you. Thank you for sharing your days adventure with us as always. All the best Dave 😀🥾⛰🏴
Thanks very much for watching Dave and funny enough a few people have said the same lol. To be honest I was just happy that it all cleared for the last summit of the day as I knew that would be the best view and it sure was, cheers Alan
Hi Alan I was delighted to see this. It's a route I'd planned to do a while ago but for some reason it didn't happen. I'd forgotten about it a bit but after seeing your video it's definitely going back on the agenda 😊 You were lucky with the parking (I dare say you were there at the crack of dawn!!) there's not many alternatives around there. Not so lucky with the views from the first tops but the reminder were awesome. Haha I don't often wear sunglasses but I'll try that trick 🤣. Trying to be positive about the recent weather, it's made the countryside look beautiful, lush and glowing with health. Troutbeck tongue views were fabulous. Another great video thank youuuuu 😊
I was there at 07.00 to get that park Christine and there was still a couple there before me too. Mind you when I first pulled up the weather was awful, absolutely bucketing it down, real pleased it got better as the day went on. Couldn't see a thing on the fist two summits but it was the last one I wanted to see, so over the moon with the view we got from there. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Wow
Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Hi, Mr. Alan
I hear a little winds and the wet roads. Although it is refreshing to hear birds singing in the background.
Is it autumn starting in the UK already? The air is cooler, I feel like. Wonderful fellow hikers with you!
Wowowow, clouds or mist all over you at the summit? 3:12 Thank you for filming with your gopro, lol
I like the UK's dry stone walls now I see it with chicken wire fence? 3:47 is it a protection from falling a part?
Indeed, lovely countryside 4:34 as if it is one of the post cards in a souvenir shop. Beautiful farmland.
I like the transition 6:37
I cannot find this view in the US, OMG, your selection of the compositions, cairn, the ridge line continues under the thick clouds to another in distance...it gives me goosebumps. 7:08 nice winds dancing around you...
hahaha, cows....OMGoodness, your hike is indeed a long one, over 10 miles...I take my hat off...haha
Look forward to the next hike.
Apologies, Mr. Alan for my belated comment due to family emergency, attending the funeral and just got back after 9hr drive from FL to NC. wow it was over 90 degrees wit high humidity in FL to 78 degrees and cooler dry air in NC. In-law business is a little stressful, but finally is done.
Real sorry to hear about the funeral, never an easy time, so condolences to you and your family. This was filmed about 6 weeks ago and the weather was exactly like Autumn weather here in the UK, thankfully it improved as the day went on and we all enjoyed a good days hiking but all very tired at the end. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Love those wainrights Not the best of weather but that won't hold back Alan...
My heart sank when I first pulled up as it was bucketing it down and it was misty as Hell. Thankfully things cleared up and we got an amazing final summit view, which we were all thankful for. Thanks for watching Max, cheers Alan
What a nice mountain top .....awesome 👍
Thanks very much for watching and taking the time to leave a comment, real good of you and very much appreciated, cheers Alan
ticking them off thick & fast💪you got to do them in reverse once you've finished 😂 love a free park👍
Haha once will be enough I think and then I will be going back to old favourites again. Not often you get a free park in the lakes and I had to be there at 07.00 to get that one lol. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Well done Alan. Great video. I remember doing Troutbeck Tongue in the blistering heat a couple of years back. Loved it but it was difficult in the heat!
There used to be a little cafe in Troutbeck ( near Robin Lane ) that I always visited after walking in that area. Last time I was there it had closed down 😢😢😢
Glad you enjoyed it Alan and I can confirm it was not blisteringly hot when we did it lol. To be fair the weather did improve and I was so grateful we got a great view for the last summit, which for me was the best one. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Fantastic ramble Alan! Yep definitely need a map for this sort of hike!
Glad you enjoyed it and real pleased it cleared up as the day went on, especially for the third and final summit, which is the one we all wanted to see. Thanks very much for watching and taking the time to leave a comment, real nice of you and very much appreciated, cheers Alan
great upload Alan - just started watching will let you know when I stop all the best Mark
Thanks Mark, appreciate it buddy, cheers Alan
After the rain eased the views were great Alan. Then you got higher .... I see what you mean about maps. Great view at Troutback Tor. You didn't see many other people - I think perhaps you're hardier than most Alan :) Best wishes, Rob
Thanks for watching Rob and it was a day that started off awful but ended up great and given the month we have had - I can live with that lol, cheers Alan
Weather definitely looks a bit drizzly, shame the views are blocked by the mist... definitely good point about downloading maps first. We might be heading to Yorkshire in a couple of weeks ❤
Thank goodness it cleared up for the best and last summit of the day and despite the miserable start we still enjoyed the day. Fingers crossed you get some good weather if you come to Yorkshire and if you have never been - York is a must :o) Thanks so much for stopping by, cheers Alan
@AlanMETALMAN let's hope we do ❤ ill definitely check it out xx
just loved it have a great day see you soon
greetings
Thanks very much for watching and taking the time to leave a comment, real good of you and very much appreciated, cheers Alan
NG forward to seeing the Kentmere horse shoe.
Thank you for this video. Hope to do this in 4wks time
The Kentmere Horseshoe went up a couple of weeks ago, as this one was filmed in the middle of last month and they went up out of sequence. To be honest due to the weather I never even bothered looking at the footage till last week as I assumed it would be rubbish but turned out not to bad (thank goodness), as I am running out of footage due to the awful weather we have been having. Fingers crossed August is going to be better than July. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Very green , have a great day!
After a month of rain and the wettest July on record Dave, every thing is green here, I want summer back lol! Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
@@AlanMETALMAN Totally opposite here in Virginia USA, temps near 100F, horrible humid, we are all dreaming of Fall and Winter, enjoy your day.
@@DaveCollierCamping - Haha and day or torrential rain here today, dark, gloomy and man I need some of that sun you got :o)
What did you eat the night before the hike? I ask because in this one, you are heaving like a government mule. The green at the beginning is/was beautiful. The rain makes everything feel fresh and clean. Oh, s--t! More cows! Well worth it as that view is indeed amazing. Your fellow hikers seem nice. I love the dark clouds lurking overhead. That area is beautiful man, just beautiful.
I meet up with them ever year they are over on holiday and always have a good time and usually good weather too. It was awful when I first parked up but thankfully it all cleared by the time we got to the last summit of the day and that is the one I really wanted to see, so happy days. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
So glad the mist cleared in the end! Yes defo worth it for the views 😃 a fair few miles you covered there, how many Wainwrights have you ticked off now?
150 completed but another 64 to go yet. I was doing so well till July but the weather has really held me up and to be honest August is not looking much better. Real pleased we got a view on the last summit of the day, as we knew that was the best one, so a great end to the days hiking. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Alan, brilliant video, you really captured the mood and atmosphere of the day so well. I'm still wondering how you got to the top of Troutbeck Tongue so far ahead of us! But, I do agree with you about the view from the top, it was one of the best of our whole trip. I have yet to look at my footage but I'm sure it will not be as succinct or professional. I'm thinking you must be getting close to 180 wainwrights so let us know when you get close to 214 - we would love to come over for that!! Thanks for a great day on the fells, regards, Ashley and Andrea
I think I must have got my second wind or Andrea needed a comfort break. Real pleased the mist lifted on this one and that last summit view w\s amazing, made all the rain and mist worth it. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Awesome hike, Alan. The wind and weather looked a bit rough for a while there.
Yes it was and to be honest, been like this most of July and the same forecasted for next month too - bring back summer lol. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Raining and smiling! A very positive start! Woop woop on the free park. How many Wainwrights are you on now Alan? Quite a bit of mist, makes for a very atmospheric day though. Thats a great tip re the sunglasses! Exactly Alan, ive had that argument with people that insist on maps and compass, id like to stick them on that first top and see how they get on! Whilst paper maps are ideal for plotting you can’t go wrong with gps backup maps. Im glad the views cleared for you. Waist high ferns, hope Mrs Metalman gave you a good tick check when you got home! Absolutely worth it! That bull sticker looked nasty! I did touch an electric fence once, never again! Really cracking mileage that! 👍
Still another 64 to go and really slowed up over July with the weather being so naff and not looking that good for the next two weeks either. The forecast was not too bad but it was thick of mist and bucketing down when I first pulled up. Thankfully it did get better as the day went on and the last summit view made up for everything, totally blown away, such a good end to the day. Thanks very much for stopping by, cheers Alan
@@AlanMETALMANim glad we got the views on the later ones, id imagine you would have had to return and do it all again had it all been thick fog. Wow 150 in, thats incredible, what a fantastic pursuit and almost certainly the best pursuit the UK has on offer. I need to move all of Scarborough to where Barrow is, so that I could venture into the fells a lot more myself!
awesome my friend
Thanks for the visit John, always appreciate it buddy, cheers Alan
cool
Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
It's not the best weather day for your hike, but at least you had great company! Pretty nice views on this one.
You got that right, real nice company and so pleased it cleared for the final summit of the day, which is the one we all wanted to see. Appreciate you stopping by Eric, cheers Alan
Haha I love the names of these fells. Cool to get free parking. I'm pleased you till got some awesome views even if brief, despite the naughty mist. I with you on the sunglasses rule.
Haha I often wonder who actually named these Fells but there are some strange names for sure. Thankfully the rain and mist did not last all day, so we ended up having a great time. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan

I was so happy when the mist parted and the rain stopped for the last summit of the day, as I knew that one was going to be the best one and it sure was. This was filmed about 3 weeks ago and the weather has been the same just about every day since. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Well, at least you had some good views on the last one!
I was happy with that to be fair as that was the one with the best view down the valley to Windermere. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Afternoon AL, sour howes and sallows are the worst two fells I’ve ever been on the summit of, the clag stayed away for most of the time and the views were still rubbish lol ,
Good to see you all out and I’ll catch you on the next
To be honest I was only interested in the last summit view, so thankfully it had all cleared away by then, so I was well happy. This was filmed in mid July and the rain and mist have been with us since lol. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Some stunning scenery there Alan, especially when you dropped into the valley. Are these three fells the strangest names or are there any better ones?
Haha, I know what you mean Andy and I often wonder who actually named these Fells lol. Real pleased the weather improved as it was awful when I first pulled up. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Wow nice voice

What an epic hiking adventure, Alan METALMAN - Outdoors! 🏞🥾 It's truly admirable to see your determination and enthusiasm for exploring the outdoors, even on a wet and misty day in the Lake District. Congratulations on conquering three brand new Wainwrights alongside your fellow CZcamsr @ashleyjarnold!
It sounds like the weather threw some challenges your way, but the mist and rain couldn't dampen your spirits. The reward of superb views down into the valley and all the way to Windermere from the summit of Troutbeck Tongue must have made it all worth it.
A day that thankfully got better and better with the weather and a day w all enjoyed, great company and at the end, some great views. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan

You've commented in a few videos about free parking. Do most places make you pay to park?
Yes, most car parks are either council ran, National Trust (both of which you have to pay) or a famer will allow parking for a fee, usually about £5 a day. I do not mind paying, as long as I get a safe park and am not getting ripped off. Thanks very much for stopping by, cheers Alan
