Great video Leo, you shred with your hands and also talk with your hands! I love pedals that clean up well, germanium fuzz works the best for me for this purpose.

I do agree with you....as regards fuzz, I think that the Vemuram fuzz is great for cleaning up.

Compimenti, ottima recensione. Questo pedale potrebbe andare bene come un "always on" quando lo si usa come distorsore principale (alla John Mayer per intendersi) per il suo sistema adattivo che ripristina i bassi e gli alti se si abbassa il volume della chitarra durante la ritmica ed abbinato magari ad un clone Klon oppure ad un pedale stile Bluesbreaker come boost nei soli. Per un uso alla SRV (ampli già sul break-up ed il TS con level al max e drive a zero) mi sa che basta un TS qualsiasi (oltre alle mega-mani di SRV)

Ciao,ho seguito attentamente questa bella recensione,e ti faccio i complimenti per la precisione nel confronto,tra i due pedali si sente la differenza,certo che il prezzo di Halcyon è caro,ma per un professionista sono soldi ben spesi, comunque il Ts 808 si difende ancora bene per il prezzo che lo paghi,lo ritengo ancora valido.

I have this pedal. I agree. It’s missing a certain thing that tube screamers have in the mids. The adapt feature is great. I’d say if your a purist go with the soloist. If you roll back volume a lot then maybe this will be better. Still a great pedal either way.

I'm sorry for that...these guitars are so conformably to carry around and play....anyway for sure the design is particular....
Great information Leo. I have so many TS style pedals and variants it's embarrasing ....along with all kinds of other drive pedals. This includes an Analogman TS 9 modded with original TS808 chip (NOS) and with true bypass. This is an interesting pedal, but I think I'll pass! Thanks again for your great presentation.

@@LeoGibsonGtr I believe he just got some TS 808's in, but I think he ran out of NOS chips, (a while ago now) however there are a few other chip options that will be just fine I'm sure . I
