At the beginning of the song, Ronnie says “I watched it rip apart my family” because both his parents were drug addicts. His mom left him, his brother, and his when he was just a little kid. His dad is now doing great and is sober (he pops in both Ronnie and Saraya’s streams from time to time to hang out and say hi to everyone). Ronnie later also got addicted to drugs and actually overdosed but was able to be saved. He mentions the close call in a few different songs.
And yes, “I missed a phone call from a friend the other day” is about his brother Anthony. The motorcycle club in the video is his dad’s MC in Las Vegas. The front guy is his dad ☺️

@@zzlee08 it's a Cherokee Legend. search 'Two Wolves' and it will give plenty of images to choose from. My dad has a very detailed single wolf on his upper arm, so it can be done if you want it to be. :) There is a beautiful image of two wolves in almost a Yin-Yang position, one is snow white and the other is coal black

I knew you guys would like this, it is SO different from what you’ve reacted to before. He conveys the frustration of addiction recovery so well. I can’t imagine how hard it would be to get clean, but still have to fight every day for the rest of your life because that particular demon doesn’t go away, it’s there for life. You can just hear that frustration in his voice.
Somewhere down the line boys this is a list of FIR must listens. "Carry On", "I Don't Mind", "Coming Home", Superhero", and "The Departure". After that, I can always make another list.. LOL..

This is one of favorite songs that Ronnie and FIR created! He has come such a long way from when he got addicted. This song is like, the epitome of someone hitting complete rock bottom and then having to face all your darkest parts of yourself to crawl your way back up to become a better person.

I read somewhere that is his brother's bike he is riding, but don't know that for sure. I am fairly certain he is referring to his brother's phone call that he missed even though his brother's death wasn't drug-related.

I doubt you guys will see this on this old video but the song titled "Brother" was written about his brother who died in a motorcycle crash and called him just a few minutes before the crash trying to get help with bike issues. I do believe that he is talking about another person in this song but I cannot confirm that.
I see this song as a kind of prequel to the themes he covers in the trilogy. Especially the line : "There's two wolves, battling us all right now. One's good, the other one is evil. This song is in my top ten for FIR, absolutely love the message and him bringing up the two wolves that we feed. In this album specifically, he actually changed up quite a lot. This album was a major test to see his peeks with different genres. I would recommend listening to Drifter, F*** The Rest, or Keep Holding On. Shows how much of a range that he has in his back pocket
Great reaction. I think this is the most straight forward/classic hard-rock song that Ronnie ever did. Personally I wouldn't be such a big fan, if ask their music was like this, but nonetheless it's probably in my top 10 favorites by them.
Maybe he did this song like this because his brother would have liked this style or because his dad and his mc would like it, but that's pure speculation.
I still hope you'll dive deeper into Falling in Reverse. I realize that there are songs from other artist that will get you more views than an older, video less, Falling in Reverse song, but I still hope you'll check some out. There is so many great lyrics and creative songwriting left.
Somewhere online there's a video of Ronnie listening to his whole Coming Home album with his co-producer or co-writer (can't remember, it's been a while) of the album. Maybe you can react to this if you find it?! It's fun to see Ronnie's mannerisms whole listening and listening to his shirt explanations between the songs.

The part about a friend passing away isn't about his brother, but his brother also suffered with addiction and eventually died, so yes it could be about his brother but I feel like it isn't. Ronnie's older friends seem to all have used drugs. One was Max Green, the ex bassist for Escape The Fate and Falling in Reverse, for a long time he was abusing substances and Ronnie fought really hard to get him sober.
Btw, as much as I wanna say that you've heard Falling in Reverse doing some crazy stuff, until you hear songs like Born to Lead, Rolling Stone, Self-destruct Personality, The Departure, and especially Guillotine IV, then you haven't heard anything. Which the guillotine series of songs are a great bunch of songs to hear, the first one was from when he was in Escape The Fate, the next two songs were done using the guy who replaced him in Escape The Fate, and the fourth one was done by Falling in Reverse and all are crazy shredding songs.
Holy shit guys 24K! I remember commenting only a few short months ago saying I pictured you had 100K subs and then looked down and couldn’t believe it was only like 4K or so..

Definitely one of the songs that grew on me and became one of my favorite! The whole falling in reverse library is downloaded into my playlist, and I have actually spent the last month just listening to their 4 albums and multiple singles. You guys gotta give “Born to Lead” a reaction!! My absolute favorite breakdown, and if I’m riding passenger in the car, there is a hole put threw the floor by the time I’m done listening! Their whole fashionably late album (second) is my favorite album, but all of them are amazing. To put them in any order doesn’t do any justice, but definitely give “Born to Lead” a listen. It comes off of the same album as “Champion” and “Alone”
I didn't know this was an older song but when I started listening to it in this video I was like dude this sounds just like his old stuff so of course I had to Google when the song was released and it was released in 2015 so totally makes sense LOL

You guys should check out "Vendettas" and "Devil Don't Cry" by King 810 and "Hate myself" and "Whatchuwando" by Yavid... It's the same singer in both. King 810 is his metal band n Yavid is his rap stuff and those 2 songs by King 810 and "Hate Myself" by Yavid tell a lot about his rough upbringing in Flint Michigan(literally the city the highest crime rate in America) n "Watchuwando" is a perfect example of him not being emotional but instead walking into the studio with that give no fucks attitude... I think you guys would love him like Ronnie... Maybe not as much but still... Also his guitarist for King 810's grandma n great aunt are the sweet old ladies who do the TwoRockingGrannies channel
