I always enjoy watching this junk journal series. Love the quote that you've selected.
Thanks so much!
Wonderful page. I just love watching you create pages. It stirs my imagination and makes me look at things with fresh eyes. Have fun puppy sitting
Thank you Lori, that’s so lovely to hear ❤️
The first page of your journal and it is lovely. I really appreciate how much thought you put into spreads- for instance, matching the century of the writing page to the century of Queen Elizabeth the first.
Thank you Janet. I appreciate you noticing the thought that goes into making the pages cohesive and make sense ❤️
Love this!! I just never realized how easy it was to make the journals so easy to work with. My other journals are fairly easy, with pages that fold out, but you can really add pages to these. So glad I've found this video, Nina! I want to make a craft journal with all sorts of samples of paper , and some flat fabric projects I've worked on. If it's not flat enough, I'll put in a photo of it. I also want to make a journal about All of our pets, and our daughters pets, since they set up their own homes. We've lost 2 grandpets in the past month, and another is in a rather delicate stage. She's 19+ and still hanging in there, still able to walk, but we know her time is limited. Time to get busy on this journal.
Thank you so much Nina I really really enjoyed watching you placing the signatures in your journal and your front cover looks complete with that quote. The first page is also really really stunning too. You certainly will enjoy Toby’s visit, dogs are so much fun, and so loving. You’ll both have a great time. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
Thanks so much Mags. I just love having Toby over for a visit. He is wonderful company and I love taking him for walks 💕 xxx
Sunday morning with Nina! Yeah! Love the pages you selected, but most of all -- love your first page! The quote you selected us perfect. TFS. 🙏💌
Thanks Evelyn. Everything seemed to come together well today. Have a wonderful week 💕
It is always such a pleasure spending time with you! I ❤️ this journal! Francie from. Prescott, Arizona 🇺🇸
Thank you so much for your kind words Francie 💕
I really enjoyed watching you create this first page and the cover! Thanks for sharing with us!
THANK YOU for making these videos for our benefit. I am sure that some days it may be a bit of a chore, but you never let it seem so. Your variety of papers and such is fascinating to me. I do have a greater appreciation for books and bags as I follow along with you. Wishing you a lovely week ahead.
Thanks Steph. I have amassed the papers and ephemera over quite a few years. The hardest thing is using some of it as it’s so precious to me 💕
I am so happy that you are creating a new journal! Cheers from 🇨🇦Calgary, Alberta🇨🇦
Thanks Joey 💕
I look forward to watching you create in your new journal. Lovely first page. Thanks for sharing
Yes, 📚 Books & Bags, make an excellent title for this lovely idea 💡 I can never out guess you, Nina! Your ideas give us so much joy to watch your creations. Keep warm from Denmark 🇩🇰
Thank you Elizabeth, and you too. Roll on Spring! 💕
Good Morning Nina,
It is 3:15 AM in Virginia and I have not been able to sleep. I believe it is 8:15 in your country. I enjoyed this journal set up of papers. I was #1 to hit your like. I was tickled pink when I saw your one little bag with the black paisley print. I have the exact same bag I have saved in my secretary with my normal supplies. I purchased a pair of earrings last winter at a craft sale and the woman gave them to me in this bag. I had not even though of using it as a pocket only as a background piece. Right around Thanksgiving I was in Washington, DC and I stopped at a neat little shop called Popper Topper. Many of the children's books were written and published in London but, mostly adult items were in the store. I purchased a gift for my niece and the register woman out the item in an adorable bag that is white with black drawings of vintage ads for cows and chickens, etc. I saved it and was simply going to frame it to hang on my kitchen wall just as an art piece. My kitchen is full of Jersey cows, vintage large roosters, etc. So the farm looking ads will go nicely in there.
I shall close and try to sleep now. I am picking my father up today for church. He is a Lancashire Lad. Have a wonderful Sunday,
Rebekah
Hello Rebekah. I bought found a listing for these online as I too had one from a purchase I had made and loved it so much I wanted more. There is something about paper bags and I have collected a whole stack of them which I am slowly using in my journals. Your farmyard bag sounds especially wonderful and I hope you will enjoy using it. Wishing you a good nights rest and hope you have a wonderful day with your Father 💕
Wonderful first page in the new journal. So happy that you have found some use for the papers I sent. Give Louie & Toby a big hug from me. Thank you, Nina.
Thanks Eugene, that paper was just perfect for my first page. Thanks for sending it to me 💕
Good morning nina, always a good feeling, when the first page is done. Now let it grow....be filled by your magic touch. Is puppysitting an official word, it made me smile... It reminds me of the days my mother used to puppysit for me, when I had meetings for work. He adored her. Dear nina have a good week and to quote you..see you soon, love and hugs lena and I include a puppyhug for tobyxxx
Good morning Lena, I don’t know if it actually is, but hey he melts my heart and he’s always so excited to see me ❤️. Hope you have a wonderful week. It’s freezing cold here, but I do believe it’s getting warmer next week. Love and hugs to you and Abel 💕 xxx
Almost having a 💖 attack thinking you were going to destroy that beautiful script page. Thank you for this beautiful page 👍
I love this page and adore the entire series!
I just love all of your work. You inspire me so much. 😊
What a striking page!I like the layering that you did - I was just enough to show off the postcard.
I love this already Nina, and I always love how you stack the backing for the focal points - like the one on the cover. Those pages are great, especially the paper bags with beautiful patterns. I am looking forward to see how you fill the book over the weeks ahead. Take care and have a brilliant week.xx
Thanks Val. I’m looking forward to filling it. Hope you have a brilliant week too bfn 💕 x
A great start to this adventure! I love how you put so much thought into coordinating you pieces. Thank you Nina! Janet ❤
Thanks Janet. That’s the fun part for me 💕

Interesting that the 2 Queen Elizabeth's had exceptionally long reigns. Thanks loving the journal ❤
Yes, I thought that too 💕
Great first page, she looks stunning with her wings 💜💜
Thank you Rhonda 💕
Hi Nina such a great start to what promises to be a beautiful journal. Happy crafting 💕
Thank you Ann. Have a great week 💕
Good morning Nina, so happy to start my day with your video. Beautiful quote for the front cover and an awesome first page. I look forward to watching the magic as the pages are decorated. Mom is doing pretty good all things considered, she talks a blue streak every time I visit, unfortunately I have no idea what she is saying. Have a wonderful week, enjoy your puppysitting!❤❤
Hello Debbie. Puppy sitting was great thanks. I just love the little guy. Glad to hear your Mom is doing ok. Hope you have a good week ahead ❤️
Your new journal looks great already! I have to say, that choice of quote was inspired! And I'm very pleased that you decided to photocopy your book rather than cut it up!
Thanks Emily. I just couldn’t bring myself to do it 💕
Love the page Nina. A grandmas work is never done. I already have three dates booked for the summer. Two of my daughters and their husbands and my grandson and his wife. It’s always a good time but exhausting. Have fun with lil Toby.
You need eyes in the back of your head with this little guy but he is a gorgeous little puppy and I love having him. Enjoy spending time with your family 💕
Oh Nina! Look what you have made from a bunch of lovely papers and stuff! A beautiful book and papers, signatures, and possible art. Where do you get all these wonderful ideas? You must have a great artistic imagination! Your way to hold the sigs in the book is just the best, for all the reasons you state. The ability to take the pages out and work on them suits me to a tee. Hello from Utah, USA.
Hello Debbie, thanks so much for your kind words. Ideas come to me all the time, I just wish I had more time to act on them as they come and go in a flash 😘
annnnnnddd we are off . ! So looking forwards to additions to your latest creative space . Thank you Nina . xx
Awwww, thanks Kay 💕 x
You have such beautiful papers for your signatures and your first page is very nice. I love the quote, which is perfect for the piece.

Thanks Annie 💕 xxx
Simple but elegant ❣️
Love the story behind the page
Thanks Noreen 💕
Some lovely pages for your new journal, I love deciding what to use when I create one, but first page done so the rest will follow easier now xx😁😁❤️
Thanks Elaine. Yes, the first page is always the hardest 💕 xx
Thank you Nina.
I have never thought to use postcards!! I have quite a few postcards from London when I was there!!
I thought these would add a bit of colour and Interest to otherwise plain pages 💕
I love this! That page is amazing!
Thanks Toni 💕
Beautiful! I always pick up a tip or two from your vids.
Thanks Carol, that’s nice to know 💕
So creative! ❤
Lovely Nina, I am working on my own journal for 2023.
Thanks Yvonne and Happy Creating 💕
Looking great!
Thank you 💕
Love it Nina.
Thanks Ineke 💕
Beautiful
Hi Nina, it has been a while since I have been here, Love to see the journal for the year , Love the page you creatited. Wishing you a happy new year, have fun with puppy toby.
Hello Ann, good to see you here and Happy New Year to you too 💕
I like it.😃
Lovely
Hi Nina a great start love the drawing of Elizabeth I. I puppy sit for my son and daughter in law they have 2 little bijon x poodles I call them my grand daughters as I only have grandsons. They are mother and daughter Issey and Lulu both named after perfumes. Have a great week, and trhx
Thanks Christie. Toby is a 5 1/5 month old miniature Dachshund. We puppy sit most weekends and I get so excited having him. He’s a gorgeous little character. My mission is getting Toby and Louie to become friends. Louie was a little monkey on Friday night and was rolling around on the floor encouraging Toby to come over and pay attention to him, but the second Toby got too close Louie would take a gentle swipe! Asserting his position 😻. Hope you have a great week 💕
Thx for your reply Nina it's great to talk to you
Wow I love everything you’ve done in this video! That page you put together is perfection ❤
Thanks Martha. The first page is always the hardest so I’m glad it came together so well 💕
You have me spellbound with your ideas. The journal is beautifully made and the first page is just superb. I look forward to your Sunday morning inspirations. Good luck with the dog, Nina and thank you for your exceptional creativity. x
Awww, thank you Pam. Had a lovely time puppy sitting and a nice foggy brisk walk on Saturday morning. Hope you have a great week 💕 x
Love your first page, really great image! Happy puppy sitting and give Louie an extra treat for putting up with the puppy! 👍✌️❤️😊
Haha, Louie was bossing him around for sure 💕
Yes now I have the inspiration to start a new journal, for some reason I could not find a way to get started.
That great to hear Lillian. It happens to us all. Happy Creating 💕
This is a wonderful start to making your journal, Nina. I really like what you have created. It's such an interesting page with such a variety of papers within the signatures. Thank you as ever.
Thanks Edna 💕
💜💜💜
Ooh I love this first page! The album is looking great, I hope you enjoyed your time with Toby 🥰💜🧚♀️
I love having him over to stay. He’s just so gorgeous ❤️ x
🙂👍
😇💖🙏🙌
❤️❤️❤️
Nina really enjoyed this video just hope I don't miss any of the next ones. The journal so far is looking good..... just out of vintage items. Where do you get the Braille paper from, I trawl old book shops and charity shops for vintage but they have caught on to the value of these things and overcharge😩 Thanks again Chris xx
Thanks Chris. I got mine on eBay. It’s a vintage book of Isiah. Hope that helps 💕
I love your journals and your videos. I'm getting closer and closer to wanting to attempt a journal of my own. I wanted to add that I'm wondering if making the journal in reverse would work? Making the pages first, then the signatures and finally the cover? I don't know how to coordinate all the elements like you do. Also, I cannot visualize anything. So, maybe the reverse construction will wotk?
I think doing the journal in reverse would work. That way you can work on any background you like. It would also take the pressure and overwhelm away from looking at so many blank pages. I hope you go for it ❤️
Lovely Nina. Where do you get your bags from? Xx.
Thanks Mel, I am pretty sure they were from eBay. I had one of the black ones from something I purchased and loved it so much I tracked some more down. Love using them in journals and for packaging gifts and happy mail 💕
At 15:06 what is the name and author of your script book you used a page out of please? Love the journal and page!
It’s called A Book Of Scripts by Alfred Fairbank.
@@NinaRibenaMixedMedia Thank you very much!
Where is part three,… it is hard to follow projects,.. thanks💚👍. The videos are just a mish mash,.. no order to them.
This video is part of a series be you will find a link the playlist showing how I fill the pages in the video description box. Yes my channel is random and I make no apologies for that. I like a number of different crafts and that’s what sets my channel apart from others.
