Jackson Wang has studied tricking and martial arts stunting since he was a trainee, so yes, all those flips and stunts in "Cruel" were actually Jackson. There were no stuntmen or stuntwoman in the MV. If you check out some of GOT7's MVs from the early days you will see Jackson and fellow GOT7 member, Mark, both doing lots of flips and trick in their choreography.
Although Jackson got his start in Kpop, his solo work is geared toward an international audience. It's not really connected to the Kpop industry. His songs are marketed by his company and are designed to appeal more to an international/western audience, not necessarily the Kpop industry.
Jackson is Chinese, from Hong Kong. He grew up attending an international school in Hong Kong were the primary language spoken was English. So he is now fluent in English, and he speaks English almost better than his native Cantonese. So, when it comes to his solo work, most of his songs are in English or Mandarin. Jackson speaks 4 languages fluently: Cantonese, English, Korean and Mandarin.
As a soloist he is a global artist. He writes and composes and produces his own music. He is a music mogul -- he runs is own label/company with his crew called Team Wang. Most of the time he even has a hand in coming up with the storylines and directing the MVs. He is hands-on with all aspects of his music. Jackson has 100% control over all aspects of his solo work because it's all part of his company.

Jackson worked with a co-director, but the majority of the storyline and MV filming was all his ideas. He is even the one that often does the editing of his MVs.
Because most of Jackson's songs are in English, and he is a fluent English speaker, he does a lot of promotional activities in the U.S. as well, and has collaborated with several famous U.S. artists, choreographers, producers, etc.
Jackson is gaining a reputation as one of the most famous and well respected singer/songwriter/producer/dancer/artists in China, alongside Lay (Zhang Yixing) from EXO. They are both international powerhouses who dominate in all aspects of the Chinese entertainment industry and internationally.
Magic Man, which is the title of the album that "Blow" and "Cruel" are on, is set to be released in September.
Most of Jackson's MVs are very cinematic. He literally has said that when he designs the storylines and works on the choreography he wants it to feel like a musical and be very theatrical. Jackson is born and raised in Hong Kong.
He was studied ‘American International school’ since he was young in Hong Kong. That’s why he’s fluent in English and has American accent as well (can be say English is one of his first language)
Then he went to Korea to be a trainee and be one of the member of the Korean group ‘GOT7’.
He is fluent in both English, Cantonese, Korean and Mandarin. He could speak a bit French as well.
