I agree with Mishra Sir. I agree that no any system is 100% perfect but for countries like Nepal, democracy doesnt work. Remember and read this comment even even after 20 years, you will realize what i have written here.
This person gives a very important speech. If the younger generation doesn't realize the current situation and exercise their right to vote in the upcoming election, we are all doomed. It's unfortunate how our country has been heading towards a crisis. If the country suffers, so will the people.

In developed countries, as market starts going down, businesses become aware and work on measures such as reducing manpower, reducing expenses, pausing new R&D projects, etc. This is the case in small to large business which minimizes the overall loss to the business and prevents from collapsing. When market flourishes back its back on track again. I belive this does not happen in Nepal, most staffs in Nepal are family members and have some form of relationship. Businesses cannot easily reduce their staffs and lower expenses as needed leading to major losses till the very end before collapsing.

29:29 I don't agree with the fact that the students who have secured A+ grade from Kathmandu valley are smarter and competent than other schools out of valley.
I am currently in class 12 and when I first came to Kathmandu after class 10 and got admission in class 11, I had also thought that the local students of Kathmandu may have some extra qualities that differentiates us from them. But eventually I got to know that they are not being able to solve a simple math problem or don't have basic knowledge in other subjects too (although they had secured 4GPA in SEE).
This implies that the schools of Kathmandu valley are completely corrupted. My friends themselves admitted that their schools bought the centre and tried their best to buy A+ grades for the students.
This shows how our education system is failing.
This man is very intellectual in my opinion when we talk about how we can improve as a country but the irony is he loses his election. I don’t know why people always want jokers in Power, let’s say I am very positive right now because it’s a generation of genies all educated. Let’s see what they will choose now leader

100% agree on your problem statement around integrity and competence but I think you’ll need to speak more of solutions, if not solutions maybe introduce or empower people who have the competence to come up with these solutions in your talks.
1. First world countries too have majority population that have average competence and education, in my opinion how these countries thrive is mostly based off of competent migrants migrating to these countries and offering services at a value which make economical sense.
Policy makers in our country need to research and build such appealing opportunities in Nepal too. Nepal is capable of offering great opportunities for researchers and academics to learn more on its untouched natural resources. Financially, being placed between two powerful countries, making Nepal a tax haven doesn’t seem like a poor strategy either.
2. Majority of businesses rely on retailing and are rather uninterested or don’t wish to take the risk of running manufacturing or service based businesses.
I feel this could be connected to 1. ,Where businesses are incentivized when they create manufacturing/ service based industries allowing for masses to be employed.
3. Don’t just talk about corruption, research more on why it is happening. Is it a case where corrupts are living in luxury in Nepal or is it the case where they are laundering all the money abroad and eventually planning to go and live there themselves later? Or is it both?
Corrupts won’t stop what they do but what can be controlled is where they spend their corrupted wealth. Can bring more controls in place, can utilize all the elite chartered accountants in the country to perform better audits and identify all these issues further.
I am barely anywhere in my own growth of knowledge and understanding, but I am sure you are able to speak more critically and help voice out the people who have the capability to bring change.
